Wong (finger) started at catcher and went 1-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and an additional run scored for Triple-A Worcester on Thursday.

Wong was held out of Wednesday's game due to soreness in his finger but was back behind the plate Thursday for a full game. He's caught all three games while on rehab with the WooSox and could be activated at some point during Boston's weekend series against Minnesota. Wong has not yet caught on back-to-back days, which could be a requirement before the Red Sox activate him off the 10-day injured list.

The Yankees recalled Vivas from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday.

Vivas was up with the big club briefly last month but didn't appear in a game. He's an option at second base while Jazz Chisholm (oblique) is out, although Pablo Reyes and Oswald Peraza are likely higher in the pecking order.

The Yankees placed Chisholm on the 10-day injured list Friday with a right oblique strain.

Chisholm suffered the injury during Tuesday's game in Baltimore. While he and the team were holding out hope that he could avoid a stint on the IL, it ultimately didn't happen. Chisholm will be eligible for activation May 10, but it's uncertain at this point whether he'll be ready to go on that date. Pablo Reyes and Oswald Peraza should see the bulk of the second-base reps while Chisholm is shelved.

Semien went 1-for-2 with two walks and a stolen base in Thursday's 3-0 loss to the Athletics.

Like several Texas hitters Semien is off to a slow start, but he's coming around. Thursday's single extended his hit streak to six games, during which he's batting .400 with a .520 on-base percentage. Since being dropped from leadoff to the fifth spot in the batting order, Semien has a .787 OPS over 10 games compared to .401 in 21 games atop the order.

Varsho went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Thursday's win over the Red Sox.

The center fielder slapped a Tanner Houck sinker up in the zone over the fence in the left-field corner to get the Blue Jays on the board in the seventh inning. Varsho has already gone yard twice in three games since coming off the IL, while collecting three total hits and three walks.

Manoah (elbow) is throwing regular bullpen sessions at the Blue Jays' spring training complex in Dunedin, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

The right-hander is making his way back from an internal brace procedure performed in June 2024. Manoah's rehab is on schedule, but he's not expected to be an option for the Blue Jays' rotation until after the All-Star break. Over five starts and 24.1 innings last season before being shut down, Manoah posted a 3.70 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 26:8 K:BB.

France went 3-for-5 with a double in Thursday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Guardians.

France has been red hot at the plate recently, going 12-for-25 (.480) with four doubles and a home run during his current six-game hitting streak. The 30-year-old first baseman is now slashing .281/.352/.421 to start the year with three homers, 18 RBI and 14 runs scored across 128 plate appearances.

Martinez went 1-for-1 with an RBI single in Thursday's 4-3 extra-inning win over Minnesota.

Martinez came off the bench to pinch hit in the 10th inning and waited long enough on an 0-2 changeup to deliver the winning run. He's been outstanding for the Guardians since a call-up from Triple-A Columbus, slashing .345/.350/.448 with two steals, six RBI and five runs. The major difference for the switch-hitting Martinez, who had a .636 OPS in 2024, is an unsustainable .400 BABIP, which suggests a correction is coming.

Noel went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 4-3 extra-inning win over Minnesota.

Noel extended Cleveland's lead to 2-0 in the fourth inning with a towering, 450-foot blast off Simeon Woods Richardson, his second homer this season. It's been a tough start to the year overall for Noel, who's slashing .186/.210/.305 with a 29 percent strikeout rate. However, the 23-year-old outfielder has already demonstrated his impressive power potential. Noel posted a .774 OPS with 13 homers in 198 plate appearances last year.

Ramirez went 1-for-5 with an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored in Thursday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Twins.

Ramirez was pivotal in the Guardians' walk-off win, singling in the tying run then scoring the winning run after he stole second base. With the steal, he entered the record books as the first player in Cleveland history to record 250 stolen bases and 250 home runs in his career. The steal was his seventh of the season.
