Anderson will start at second base and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Tigers.

Anderson thus far seems to be the primary beneficiary of Mike Trout's (knee) recent move to the injured list. With Trout on the shelf, Kyren Paris has now made three consecutive starts in the outfield, opening up the keystone for Anderson in all three of those contests. The two-time All-Star is still slashing a woeful .179/.220/.196 over 60 plate appearances with the Angels on the season, so despite the recent uptick in playing time, Anderson likely won't warrant much attention outside of AL-only leagues.

Jung is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

Since being promoted from Triple-A Toledo on April 21, the lefty-hitting Jung had started in each of the Tigers' last 10 matchups with right-handed pitchers, but he's slashed just .107/.286/.107 overall. He'll now head to the bench Sunday against right-hander Jack Kochanowicz, and a return to Toledo could soon be in the cards for Jung if sitting against righties starts to become a trend.

Dingler is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

Dingler will get a chance to rest in the series finale after he had started at catcher in each of the last three games. Tomas Nido will step in for Dingler behind the plate.

Casas underwent successful surgery Sunday to repair the ruptured patellar tendon in his left knee, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

The 25-year-old suffered the injury during Friday's 6-1 win over the Twins, and the organization didn't waste much time sending him in for the surgery. Casas doesn't have an official timeline for his return, but he's expected to miss the rest of the 2025 season while going through his recovery and rehab programs. Romy Gonzalez has started at first base in both of the two games since Casas went down with the knee injury.

The White Sox selected Freeman's contract from Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.

The right-hander is joining Chicago for his first look in the big leagues ahead of Sunday's series finale versus Houston. Freeman has been dominant early this year at Charlotte and has a 1.35 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 16:5 K:BB over 13.1 innings.

Baldwin is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.

The White Sox infield has become more crowded in recent days with the returns of Chase Meidroth (thumb) and Josh Rojas (toe) from the injured list, but the versatile Baldwin may still have a fairly clear path to playing time due to his ability to play all three outfield spots. The 24-year-old will take a seat Sunday however, as the White Sox roll out a starting outfield of Andrew Benintendi, Luis Robert and Joshua Palacios from left to right.

The White Sox recalled Gilbert from Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.

The left-hander was optioned to Charlotte on Wednesday, but he'll quickly rejoin the big-league bullpen with Fraser Ellard (lat) headed to the injured list. Gilbert has made nine MLB appearances (three starts) this season and has a 5.59 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 14:5 K:BB across 9.2 innings.

Rodgers will start at second base and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the White Sox.

After a stretch in which he made just one start in six games, Rodgers has now been included on four straight lineup cards. He seems to have regained some security as the Astros' preferred option at the keystone after going 3-for-12 with a walk and two runs over the previous three contests.

Smith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Smith will take a seat for the second game in a row, and the rookie seems to be losing his grasp on an everyday role after slashing just .205/.303/.359 over his first 89 big-league plate appearances. Zach Dezenzo has been swinging a hotter bat of late and seems to be getting prioritized in right field ahead of Smith, who could be headed to Triple-A Sugar Land in the near future if he's unable to turn things around.

Paredes is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

It's the first day off this season for Paredes, who has hits in 11 of the past 13 games and has a .292/.382/.438 slash line with four extra-base hits and a 7:6 BB:K during that span. Mauricio Dubon will shift to third base while Brendan Rodgers receives a start at the keystone.
