Klassen is awake and alert after taking a line drive to the head while pitching at Double-A Rocket City on Sunday, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Klassen remains at the hospital and is still undergoing testing, but he is improving. More should be known later this week about the pitching prospect's timeline to return to a mound. Klassen has posted a 4.97 ERA and 36:7 K:BB over 29 innings covering seven starts for Rocket City in 2025.

Fermin is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Astros.

Before sitting out Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Red Sox while Luke Maile received the nod behind the dish, Fermin had made three straight starts at catcher. Fermin will remain on the bench again Monday, and his brief run as the Royals' No. 1 backstop could be over. Salvador Perez had been limited to playing designated hitter or first base since returning to the lineup May 4 following a two-game absence due to a hip injury, but he'll resume catching Monday. If Perez checks out fine Monday, he could see his catching workload pick up in the games to come.

Trout (knee) will run on an anti-gravity treadmill Monday, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Trout has been ramping up other baseball activities lately and a running progression appears imminent. There is no timetable for the outfielder's return from the 10-day injured list, but he's making progress as he works his way back from a bone bruise in his left knee. The club will likely wait to see how Trout fares on the anti-gravity treadmill before disclosing the next step in his rehab.

The Rangers promoted Osuna from Double-A Frisco to Triple-A Round Rock on Monday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

The 22-year-old Osuna has increased his cachet as a prospect over the last few months. After turning heads in big-league spring training with a 1.237 OPS to go with two stolen bases during Cactus League play, the outfielder has continued to shine early on during the minor-league season. He was bumped up to a Triple-A after getting on base at a .356 clip while going 7-for-9 in steal attempts over 146 plate appearances with Frisco.

Heim is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rockies.

Heim will hit the bench for Monday's series opener while Tucker Barnhart starts behind the plate and bats eighth. Heim went 1-for-12 with a solo home run while starting all three games at catcher during the Rangers' weekend series against the Tigers.

Sweeney is starting at shortstop and batting eighth in Monday's game against the Red Sox.

Sweeney got Sunday off after starting the previous 19 games, but he'll get right back in there Monday. The 25-year-old has been hot in May, slashing .400/.417/.600 with two home runs, seven RBI and nine runs scored in nine games this month, which has helped him prop up his overall numbers after a slow start to the season.

Rogers (oblique) could be ready to head out on a minor-league rehab assignment at some point this week, MLB.com reports.

Rogers has been steadily increasing his baseball activities as he works his way back from a left oblique strain, which has kept him on the injured list since April 8. In addition to taking regular batting practice, Rogers was able to catch a bullpen session Friday, then ran the bases and did some throwing Saturday. Dillon Dingler has been serving as the Tigers' primary option behind the plate since Rogers landed on the shelf.

Guardians manager Stephen Vogt said Monday that Fry (elbow) is set to begin playing in rehab games in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League this week, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

After undergoing UCL revision surgery on his right elbow in November, Fry isn't expected to catch or play the infield or outfield at any point this season, but he'll be available as a designated hitter once he completes his hitting progression. He's seemingly reached the point in his rehab program where he's faced live pitching in simulated games, and he now looks like he's ready to stockpile at-bats in minor-league contests. Fry won't be eligible to return from the 60-day injured list until late May, and since he may only be in line for a short-side platoon role at DH once he's eventually activated, the Guardians could keep him in the minors for close to the full 20-day rehab window.

O'Hoppe is not in the lineup for Monday's game in San Diego.

It looks to be a routine day off for O'Hoppe, who had started each of the previous seven contests (five at designated hitter, two at catcher). Travis d'Arnaud is catching and batting sixth for the Halos on Monday.

Guardians manager Stephen Vogt confirmed that Thomas (wrist) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Columbus this week, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Thomas has been on the shelf since April 22 with a right wrist bone bruise, but he's been free of pain for a few days now and is ready to test himself in minor-league games. Before landing on the 10-day injured list, Thomas had gotten off to a miserable start to the season, slashing .156/.188/.178 over his first 13 games. Thomas may need to produce well at the plate during his rehab assignment to convince the Guardians that he's ready to take back an everyday role in center field from Angel Martinez once he's activated.
