Garcia was promoted to Triple-A Worcester on Sunday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Garcia will make the jump to Triple-A after batting .256 with three home runs, 17 RBI, 19 runs scored and four stolen bases over 117 at-bats in 33 games with Double-A Portland this season. The 22-year-old will look to impress with Worcester in an attempt to get a shot with the Red Sox later this season.

Kikuchi exited Sunday's contest against the Dodgers in the bottom of the sixth inning with right ankle irritation, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Kikuchi tossed 5.2 innings of one-run ball before being forced to leave his start early. The left-hander was at 98 pitches overall, so he was likely set to finish his day after the frame anyway. More information on his status will likely come in the near future, and it's unclear if he's in doubt of missing his next projected start Friday versus the Marlins.

Torkelson went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jays.

After plating Detroit's only run of the game on a solo home run Saturday, Torkelson once again provided the team's offense Sunday, with the key play being a two-run double in the first inning to put his team up 2-0. The infielder now has a robust .886 OPS and leads the Tigers with 12 homers and 38 RBI, continuing a bounce-back campaign after a disappointing 2024.

Vest tossed a scoreless inning with one strikeout to record the save in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jays.

Despite not allowing a hit or a walk, Vest needed 24 pitches to retire three batters, but he still managed to earn his fifth save of the year in seven chances. The veteran righty is strengthening his hold on the top closer role in Detroit, as he now has a sparkling 1.66 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 25 strikeouts across 21.2 innings. Tommy Kahnle, who has five saves of his own this season, worked a clean eighth inning Sunday and will continue to be in the mix for saves moving forward.

Lewis went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Brewers.

The Minnesota third baseman smacked a 417-foot solo shot off Milwaukee starter Freddy Peralta in the fourth inning for his 33rd career homer. Perhaps this performance will break Lewis out of his recent funk. He entered this contest amidst a cold spell, slashing just .200/.263/.229 across 38 plate appearances since returning from a left hamstring strain May 6.

Matthews (0-1) took the loss Sunday at Milwaukee, allowing four runs on five hits and three walks over three innings. He struck out five.

The Minnesota right-hander floundered in this 71-pitch outing despite the Brewers not managing to knock an extra-base hit. Matthews, who sported a 6.7 percent walk rate over 32.2 innings at Triple-A, struggled with his command, issuing an uncharacteristic three free passes. Despite this rough appearance, Matthews should stick in the Twins rotation given his stellar 1.93 ERA at St. Paul prior to his call-up. The 24-year-old currently lines up to make his next start at home against the Royals next weekend.

Manager Joe Espada said Sunday that Alvarez is improving every day but is still feeling the muscle strain in his right hand that landed him on the injured list May 5, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

The 27-year-old was initially expected to be activated when first eligible early last week, but he's been unable to completely move past the hand injury to this point. Espada indicated the Astros want to make sure the issue "completely goes away" before bringing Alvarez back, so it sounds as though the organization is taking a cautious approach. Prior to the landing on the shelf, Alvarez had yet to look much like himself in 2025 with just three homers and a .646 OPS through 29 games.

Kirby (shoulder) said Sunday that he's ready to rejoin the Mariners after making his third rehab start Friday, though a decision has yet to be made on whether he'll require another outing in the minors before being activated from the injured list, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.

The right-hander's personal attitude is encouraging, but Seattle could still elect to send him for another rehab start after he threw 64 pitches and allowed four runs on 10 hits across four innings Friday. Kirby has been on the shelf all season due to shoulder inflammation, but he appears to be on the cusp of his 2025 MLB debut, even if he does end up making one more appearance in the minors.

Yarbrough is scheduled to start Wednesday's game against the Rangers, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

The left-hander last pitched May 11 in Sacramento, so he'll be taking the mound Tuesday with a bit of extra rest. Yarbrough allowed two runs over five frames in that outing while picking up his first win of the season, and he's been a quality swingman for the Yankees early on in 2025 with a 3.70 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 20:10 K:BB across 24.1 innings.

Vargas went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a hit-by-pitch in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Cubs.

Vargas tied the game at 1-1 with his fourth-inning solo shot off Colin Rea. Over his last nine games, Vargas has logged five multi-hit efforts, going 12-for-34 (.353) with four homers, four doubles and nine RBI. The infielder is up to a .245/.328/.421 slash line with six homers, 21 RBI, 20 runs scored, 10 doubles and one stolen base over 180 plate appearances. He continues to play on a near-everyday basis amid this recent strong stretch.
