The Twins optioned Gasper to Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday.

Gasper was up for one day as the 27th man during Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Guardians, and he did not make an appearance. The utility player has slashed only .176/.282/.206 during his time in the majors this season.

The Guardians optioned Nikhazy to Triple-A Columbus on Thursday.

Nikhazy was available as the 27th man for Wednesday's doubleheader against the Twins but did not make an appearance. He will return to the rotation at Columbus, where he's posted a 4.99 ERA and 31:15 K:BB over 30.2 innings covering seven starts.

Bellinger went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-3 win over Texas.

Bellinger began a late Yankees comeback with a solo blast to right-center field in the seventh inning. The veteran slugger went 0-for-4 in his first game in May but has collected at least one knock in each contest since then, stringing together a 15-game hitting streak during which he's slashing .377/.441/.689 with five home runs, 13 RBI, 12 runs, a stolen base and a 7:10 BB:K. Three of those long balls have come in Bellinger's past four games.

Leon (knee) was sent to the rookie-level Florida Complex League on Thursday to begin a rehab assignment.

Leon's recovery from a Grade 1 MCL strain in his left knee has come along more slowly than expected, but he's finally ready to test himself in a game setting. The outfielder has been shelved since late February, so his rehab assignment will likely be a lengthy one. Leon is a good bet to be optioned to Triple-A Sugar Land after being activated from the 10-day injured list.

The Mariners optioned Taylor to Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday.

He's clearing out to make space on the roster for the return of George Kirby (shoulder), who was activated from the 15-day injured list in advance of his start Thursday in Houston. Taylor has failed this season to build upon his 2024 success, allowing nine runs with a 2:3 K:BB over 6.2 innings thus far.

The Mariners activated Kirby (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list Thursday.

Kirby is set to make his season debut Thursday with a start against the Astros after missing the first eight weeks of the season with right shoulder inflammation. The righty was dinged for eight runs over 10 frames across three rehab outings but posted a 13:2 K:BB. Kirby threw 64 pitches in his final rehab start, so he's probably looking at a max pitch count in the 75-to-80 range Thursday in Houston.

Wilson was spotted warming up in the bullpen during Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Mariners, Kyle Williams of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Wilson wasn't called upon in relief, but his presence in the bullpen nonetheless confirms that he's not expected to be in line for any starts in the near future after he had been serving as the fifth member of the White Sox rotation since Martin Perez suffered what could be a season-ending elbow injury in late April. After Wilson was lit up for seven earned runs in 5.1 innings in his latest start last Thursday in Cincinnati, the White Sox opted to replace him in the rotation with Adrian Houser, who signed a one-year deal with the club Tuesday. Houser started later that day and tossed six scoreless innings in a win over Seattle, so he should have a fair amount of security in the rotation before the White Sox would consider turning back to Wilson.

Ryan didn't factor in the decision in Monday's suspended game against the Guardians after giving up three runs on three hits and two walks across five innings. He struck out four.

The contest resumed ahead of Wednesday's regularly scheduled game, which Ryan was originally positioned to start. The right-hander instead took the mound for the fourth inning of the suspended game with a 2-1 lead, and he nearly went the distance before allowing the first two batters to reach in the ninth inning. Closer Jhoan Duran was unable to strand the runners and blew the save, leaving Ryan with a no-decision. It wasn't a bad showing from Ryan, though it still ended a dominant four-start stretch that saw him allow just two runs with a 35:3 K:BB over 25 innings. The 28-year-old lines up to take the mound on the road against the Rays early next week.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Tuesday that Gimenez (quadricep) is likely to require a minor-league rehab assignment before returning from the 10-day injured list, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Since suffering a right quad strain and landing on the shelf May 9, Gimenez seems to be making good progress in his recovery. He resumed baseball activities Tuesday and was spotted taking part in running drills and doing some light fielding and throwing work Wednesday, according to Nicholson-Smith. The Blue Jays will likely reassess Gimenez on Thursday before determining whether he'll be ready to begin what's expected to be a brief rehab assignment this weekend.

Duran (2-0) got the win after blowing the save in Monday's suspended game against the Guardians. He allowed a run on two hits and no walks while striking out one in the ninth inning.

The two teams finished up the suspended contest prior to Wednesday's regularly scheduled game, and the Minnesota closer was called upon to protect a three-run advantage in the ninth inning after Joe Ryan allowed the first two batters to reach. Duran was unable to maintain the lead but still got the win since Kody Clemens delivered a walk-off RBI double in the bottom of the frame. It's the first blown save of the year in nine chances for Duran, who entered the contest having not given up an earned run in his previous 11 appearances. He's been dominant early in 2025 with a 1.21 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 26:9 K:BB across 26 innings and remains locked in as the Twins' closer.
