Straw is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

Straw will hit the bench after he had started four straight games while going 2-for-13 with an RBI and a run. The last three of his starts came against left-handed pitching, and he looks set to fill the short side of a platoon in center field with Jonatan Clase until Daulton Varsho (hamstring) comes off the injured list.

Mayer is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.

The Red Sox have faced left-handed starting pitchers in all three games of the series with the Yankees, and Mayer has been on the bench for two of them. The rookie will cede third base to Abraham Toro on Sunday as the Red Sox look to get some extra right-handed bats in the lineup.

Diaz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

Diaz appeared to be in some discomfort after a slide into home plate in Saturday's 8-4 win, but he wasn't removed from the game at any point, and manager Kevin Cash said that the 33-year-old is "totally available" off the bench Sunday, per Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times. Diaz's absence thus looks to be little more than a pre-planned rest day after he had started each of the Rays' last seven games. He's been on a heater of late, slashing .408/.473/.673 with three home runs, 10 RBI and nine runs in 12 games dating back to May 31.

Wells is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox.

It's likely just a standard rest day for Wells, who went 1-for-7 with an RBI while starting the first two games of the series. J.C. Escarra will step in behind the plate to catch for ace Max Fried in Sunday's finale.

LeMahieu is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox.

LeMahieu started the first two games of the series but will take a seat for Sunday's finale. The veteran infielder has carried a hot bat during the first half of June, as he is batting .382 (13-for-34) with two doubles, one homer and a 5:5 BB:K through 11 games this month. Oswald Peraza will step in at the keystone and bat ninth versus Boston righty Brayan Bello.

Buxton (elbow) was scratched from the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.

The 31-year-old exited Saturday's contest after being hit by a pitch in the left elbow, and he won't start Sunday after initially being penciled in atop the lineup. The Twins have a scheduled day off Monday, so Buxton will have two straight days to recover before Tuesday's series opener in Cincinnati.

Culpepper (undisclosed) was activated off Double-A Wichita's 60-day injured list Saturday and threw three scoreless innings while allowing three hits and no walks and striking out four batters.

Culpepper began the season on the shelf after he had difficulty ramping up this spring, but no specific injury was cited by the Twins. The 23-year-old right-hander had an outstanding season at High-A Cedar Rapids in 2024 with a 2.89 ERA and 28.9 percent strikeout rate, but he struggled to a 4.71 ERA at Double-A after being promoted.

Carter (wrist) will start in center field and bat fifth in Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Carter had been expected to miss out on a second straight start after the Rangers' initial lineup didn't include the 22-year-old, but he'll be back in center field after his sore right wrist responded better than expected to pregame work. Fantasy managers will hope that the injury Carter suffered Friday won't disrupt his timing at the plate. Since returning from a quadriceps strain June 3, he's slashed .407/484/.815 with three home runs, two doubles, two stolen bases and a 4:4 BB:K in 10 games.

Moore is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

After getting called up from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday, the 22-year-old Moore started at second base in the Angels' next two games and went 0-for-6 with a walk and three strikeouts. Though he'll take a seat for the series finale, the top prospect should get an extended look in a near-everyday role, at least until Yoan Moncada (knee) is ready to return from the injured list. Moore slashed .350/.424/.575 with four home runs and three steals in 20 games for Salt Lake prior to his promotion.

Goldschmidt is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox.

Goldschmidt will receive Sunday off after a run of 16 consecutive starts, during which he posted a .194/.275/.339 slash line with three doubles and two homers. Ben Rice will step in at first base for the Yankees while Aaron Judge rests his legs as the designated hitter.
