The Athletics placed Brown on the 10-day injured list Tuesday due to left elbow lateral epicondylitis.

More commonly known as "tennis elbow," Brown's injury has kept him sidelined for the Athletics' past four games and will officially cost him at least another week. He'll be replaced on the active roster by Gio Urshela (hamstring), who was activated off the injured list Tuesday.

Jansen isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Orioles, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.

Jansen has collected a base hit in each of his last four games, but he'll take a seat Tuesday while Matt Thaiss starts at catcher and bats seventh for the Rays.

Lukes (concussion) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Lukes landed on the 7-day injured list last week, but his concussion symptoms appear to have dissipated. He's slated to play at least a couple games with Buffalo, but a return from the IL for the Blue Jays' series this weekend against the White Sox is possible.

Turnbull is expected to pitch during Friday's game against the White Sox, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

The Blue Jays aren't ready to divulge whether Turnbull will be used as a traditional starter or bulk reliever, but he will be a big part of the pitching plan for the series opener versus the White Sox. Turnbull has yielded a total of one run with a 2:2 K:BB over 4.1 innings covering two relief appearances for Toronto. He threw 51 pitches in his last outing Sunday versus the Phillies, so Turnbull will not be available for a full starter's workload Friday.

Scherzer (thumb) is aiming to throw 70-to-75 pitches in his rehab start with Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday, which could be the final outing in the minors before being reinstated from the injured list, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

The 40-year-old allowed two runs and threw 56 pitches over 4.1 innings during his first rehab start Friday, and if he's able to build on that workload Wednesday, his next stop could be back in the big leagues. Scherzer made just one start for Toronto in late March before the thumb inflammation sent him to the injured list, though it was an injury he battled throughout spring training.

Lauer will start Wednesday's contest versus the Diamondbacks, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Lauer has bounced back and forth between being used as a traditional starter and a bulk reliever since getting called up from Triple-A Buffalo in late April. He's fared better in the latter role with a 0.96 ERA in six appearances, but the Blue Jays will give him a start against Arizona. With Bowden Francis (shoulder) out indefinitely, Lauer could get a long run in the Toronto rotation.

Rogers has been added to the Orioles' taxi squad and is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Norfolk to start Wednesday against the Rays, Danielle Allentuck of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Rogers is taking the rotation spot of the injured Cade Povich (hip) and is likely to make at least a couple more starts after Wednesday while Povich recovers. The 27-year-old Rogers has been underwhelming this season at Norfolk, posting a 5.46 ERA and 26:8 K:BB over 29.2 innings. However, he dazzled in a spot start for the Orioles back on May 24, striking out five over 6.1 shutout frames versus the Red Sox.

Lange (lat) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A West Michigan on Tuesday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Lange had right lat surgery last July and had to be shut down back in April because of upper-arm inflammation. However, he has progressed well since the latter injury and is finally ready to test things out in a game setting. Given how long his layoff has been, Lange's rehab assignment figures to last a few weeks.

India (shoulder) will start at second base and bat leadoff in Tuesday's game versus the Rangers.

India suffered a left shoulder subluxation during this past Friday's game against the Athletics and sat out the following two contests. However, he feels well enough to give it a go for the Royals in Tuesday's series opener in Texas.

Jung is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Royals.

Jung isn't dealing with an injury, but he'll get a second consecutive day off while he's gone just 7-for-49 with 16 strikeouts since the start of June. Ezequiel Duran will pick up another start at third base while Jung regroups.
