Escarra will miss Wednesday's game against the Reds and is expected to be placed on the paternity list, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Escarra was supposed to be in Wednesday's lineup, but he'll instead be away from the team while attending the birth of his child. The Yankees didn't have time to call up a player to Cincinnati, so Austin Wells will start behind the plate, with Ben Rice likely serving as the reserve catcher, per Hoch.

Lee is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Willi Castro (wrist) will return to the lineup after a three-game absence and will fill in at third base for Lee, who will take a seat for the first time since June 10. While starting in each of Minnesota's last 13 games, Lee slashed .373/.385/.529 with two home runs and eight RBI. Though he'll likely see most of his starts at third base while Royce Lewis (hamstring) is on the shelf, the hot-hitting Lee could move over to the keystone to maintain a regular spot in the lineup once Lewis is ready to return from the injured list.

Jeffers is out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Jeffers will sit for the second time in three games while Christian Vazquez starts behind home plate and bats ninth. Jeffers has slashed .228/.343/.439 with three home runs and 11 RBI in 67 plate appearances in June.

Zobac (knee) has given up seven earned runs on 13 hits and no walks while striking out eight over 6.2 innings in his two starts for Double-A Northwest Arkansas since being reinstated from the 7-day injured list June 13.

Zobac was on Northwest Arkansas' IL for nearly two months before he slotted back into the rotation a couple weeks ago after he wrapped up a three-start rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League. Over four outings at Double-A this season, Zobac owns a 9.42 ERA and 2.20 WHIP in 14.1 innings, but his 19:5 K:BB suggests that he's pitched better than his ERA would indicate.

Waters is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.

Jac Caglianone and Kyle Isbel appear to be locked into near-everyday roles in right field and center field, respectively, but left field still looks to be more of a revolving door for Kansas City. Waters had been included in the lineup in the last three games and started in left field in the most recent two contests, but he'll give way to John Rave on Wednesday. Dating back to the start of June, Waters has slashed just .188/.250/.188 with one stolen base, four runs and one RBI over a stretch of 19 games.

Fermin is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.

Fermin's playing time had been trending up toward the end of last week, but he'll be on the bench Wednesday for the third time in four games. Due to the Royals' willingness to keep top backstop Salvador Perez fresh by occasionally using him at designated hitter and first base, Fermin should start more frequently than most No. 2 catchers, though probably not enough to make him a usable option in the majority of fantasy leagues.

Mateo (elbow) told reporters Wednesday that he has participated in all baseball activities and is expected to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Norfolk soon, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Mateo reported to Norfolk on Tuesday while continuing to build back up from left elbow inflammation that caused him to be placed on the 10-day injured list June 10. Mateo sported a .510 OPS with 14 steals, three doubles, one home run and three RBI in 65 plate appearances with the Orioles prior to landing on the IL.

Langford's absence from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles is due to left side tightness, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.

The 23-year-old will undergo medical testing once the Rangers return home after Wednesday's series finale in Baltimore. There doesn't seem to be significant concern for Langford's injury, though he could still end up requiring a stint on the injured list.

Loaisiga is not available out of the bullpen for Wednesday's game against the Reds due to an illness, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

After a mound visit from a trainer, Loaisiga was removed from his appearance in Tuesday's 5-4 loss after retiring just one batter and yielding three earned runs. An immediate explanation wasn't provided for Loaisiga's removal, but the Yankees have since clarified that the right-hander is under the weather. With the Yankees scheduled for an off day Thursday, Loaisiga will look to return for Friday's series opener against the Athletics.

Straw is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

Nathan Lukes will step in as the Blue Jays' center fielder in place of Straw, who had started each of the previous three games. While Straw possesses excellent speed and is a reliable defender in center field, he's posted a weak .633 OPS over 144 plate appearances on the season. Expect the Blue Jays to use a rotation of Straw, Lukes and Jonatan Clase in center until Daulton Varsho (hamstring) returns from the injured list.
