The Rays optioned Rock to Triple-A Durham on Sunday.

He'll be replaced on the 26-man roster by Joe Boyle, who had been starting for Durham and could serve as a swingman during the upcoming week. Rock made his MLB debut June 28, covering two innings while allowing two earned runs on four hits and striking out four. The lefty reliever went unused in the Rays' ensuing six games.

Bazzana (oblique) started at second base and went 0-for-2 for the Guardians' Arizona Complex League affiliate Saturday.

Bazzana began his rehab assignment after suffering an oblique injury in mid-May. He played just four innings in the field, and Cleveland has little incentive to rush the recovery of the first overall draft pick in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft. Prior to the injury, the 22-year-old Bazzana posted a .252/.362/.433 slash line with four home runs, 17 RBI, eight steals and 29 runs across 33 games for Double-A Akron.

Tauchman went 3-for-5 with a walk, a run scored and an RBI on Saturday against the Rockies.

Tauchman has taken advantage of the White Sox's series in Colorado, collecting five hits in nine at-bats while reaching base seven times in 11 plate appearances. He remains the team's leadoff hitter against right-handed pitching and has 10 RBI and 10 runs scored across 26 games since the start of June.

The Rays recalled Boyle from Triple-A Durham on Sunday.

Since returning to Durham after spinning five shutout innings in a spot start April 13, Boyle has continued to dominate at Triple-A. He turned in a 1.66 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 86:25 K:BB over 65 innings across his last 13 outings before he was scratched from a start Saturday ahead of getting the call to the big leagues. The Rays haven't clarified their plans for Boyle, but with Tampa Bay looking to limit Drew Rasmussen's workload, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times suggests that Boyle could end up piggybacking Rasmussen on Sunday against the Twins. After Sunday, the Rays will play seven games in seven days to close out their first-half schedule, so Boyle could be called upon to make a spot start during the final week before the All-Star break.

Taylor went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run, a double and a second run scored Saturday against the Rockies.

Taylor suffered a bruise that caused him to exit Wednesday's game against the Dodgers and he sat out the next day's contest, but he hasn't missed any additional time. He currently has a three-game hitting streak, and he also has four RBI and two runs scored in that span. Saturday was a particularly strong performance, as he slugged his fifth home run and 12th double of the season.

Montgomery went 3-for-5 with a triple and an RBI on Saturday against the Rockies.

Montgomery has started two straight games since being recalled for his big-league debut, hitting seventh and fifth. He recorded the first hits of his big-league career Saturday, including an RBI triple in the first inning. Montgomery has seen his stock as a prospect dip in the last two seasons, but he is still an interesting name to monitor across the second half of the season.

Hurter tossed a scoreless inning of relief to record a hold in Saturday's 1-0 win over the Guardians.

After starter Casey Mize dazzled over seven scoreless innings, Hurter worked the eighth for his third hold of the year before Tommy Kahnle closed things out in the ninth. Hurter has been a bit rocky recently, allowing 12 runs (six earned) across seven innings in his last eight appearances. However, the lefty's numbers on the season are still strong, as he's sitting with a 2.72 ERA and 45 strikeouts through 43 innings out of Detroit's bullpen.

Munoz struck out two in a perfect ninth inning to earn the save Saturday against the Pirates.

The right-hander was called upon to close out a 1-0 game and did so with ease, inducing five whiffs and retiring the side in order on just 10 pitches. Munoz continues to be one of the most reliable closers in MLB and hasn't given up an earned run in his past eight outings. Overall in 2025 he's gone 20-for-25 in save chances with a 1.09 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 44:13 K:BB across 33 innings.

Castillo (5-5) picked up the win Saturday against the Pirates, striking out eight and giving up just two hits and no walks across seven scoreless innings.

The eight punchouts are a season high for Castillo, who got back in the win column for the first time since May 19 against the White Sox. The veteran right-hander has seen his strikeout numbers take a dip in 2025 with a career-low 7.6 K/9, but he's still been plenty effective through 18 starts with a 3.31 ERA and 1.22 WHIP over 103.1 innings.

Sosa went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, four RBI and two runs in Saturday's 10-3 win against the Rockies.

Sosa entered the game in a bit of a slump with just four hits in his previous 22 at-bats, but he delivered his fourth three-hit game of the campaign Saturday while launching his seventh homer. The 25-year-old has been decently productive in a bad lineup through 73 games this year with a .275 average, 27 RBI and 24 runs, though his minuscule 2.6 percent walk rate has resulted in a .294 OBP and .713 OPS.
