Perez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rays.

Zach McKinstry will step in as the Tigers' right fielder Monday while Perez heads to the bench after starting in each of the last six games. Perez's season got off to a delayed start after he missed the first two months of the campaign due to a lumbar spine inflammation, but he's provided Detroit with another impact bat since making his return. Through 34 games, the 25-year-old has cobbled together a .261/.312/.539 slash line with seven home runs, one stolen base, 19 RBI and 19 runs.

The Tigers optioned Horn to Triple-A Toledo on Monday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

He's clearing out to free up a spot on the roster for the addition of Keider Montero, who was called up from Triple-A to start in Monday's game against the Rays. Horn has made three relief appearances for the Tigers this season, yielding one run with a 3:1 K:BB over 2.2 innings.

Torres (neck) will start at second base and bat second in Monday's game against the Rays.

Torres will rejoin the starting nine after he was held out of Sunday's 7-2 win over Cleveland for precautionary purposes due to the bruised neck he sustained on a hard slide into second base Saturday. Recently named to his third All-Star team and announced as an All-Star starter for the first time, Torres will look to close the Tigers' first-half slate on a high note after slashing .278/.387/.422 with nine home runs, four steals, 44 RBI and 47 runs through his first 78 games of the season.

Mayer is again absent from the lineup for Monday's contest against the Rockies.

The Red Sox are facing a lefty (Austin Gomber) for the third straight day. The lefty-swinging Mayer has been out of the lineup for all three contests, though he did receive two plate appearances off the bench in Sunday's win over the Nationals. Mayer is 4-for-22 with a 7:0 K:BB early on versus southpaws at the big-league level. Nate Eaton is again at third base Monday.

Duran is absent from the lineup for Monday's game against the Rockies.

The Red Sox are facing a left-hander (Austin Gomber) for the third day in a row, and while Duran started the first two of those contests, he will begin Monday's game on the bench. Rob Refsnyder will start in left field while Wilyer Abreu will get the nod in right field as he makes a rare start versus a lefty. Duran is hitting .216/.245/.336 with a 29.3 percent strikeout rate against southpaws this season.

Gonzalez will start at second base and bat second in Monday's game against the Rockies, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

Gonzalez will stick in the No. 2 spot in the order for the third game in a row while the Red Sox oppose their third consecutive left-handed starter (Austin Gomber). The 28-year-old is coming off a big weekend series in Washington, where he went 5-for-9 with two doubles, three RBI and two runs between his two starts. Gonzalez should continue to occupy a prominent spot in the lineup versus southpaws, but his playing time against righties looks to be more sporadic.

Eaton will start at third base and bat leadoff in Monday's game against the Rockies, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

The right-handed-hitting Eaton will set the table for the third game in a row, with the Red Sox having opposed left-handed starters in each of those contests. Eaton was effective in the table-setting role over the Red Sox's final two contests of the weekend against the Nationals, going a combined 2-for-7 with a double, a stolen base and three runs between those games.

High-A Quad Cities reinstated Mitchell (wrist) from the 7-day injured list Monday.

Mitchell has been cleared to make his 2025 debut in the Midwest League after he broke his right wrist in late February and required surgery, which kept him on the shelf for the first three months of the season. The catching prospect received the green light to join Quad Cities after he slashed .286/.487/.464 with one home run and three stolen bases in 39 plate appearances during his rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League.

Montero will be called up from Triple-A Toledo to start Monday's game against the Rays, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Montero will be in line for a traditional start Monday, after he had previously made six starts and five bulk relief appearances for the Tigers this season while collecting a 4.02 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 39:20 K:BB over 56 frames. With an off day looming Thursday prior to next week's All-Star break, Montero could be headed back to Triple-A after Monday's start.

The Rays recalled Englert from Triple-A Durham on Monday.

Englert has made 13 appearances out of the Rays' bullpen in 2025, posting a 4.84 ERA but a more promising 22:4 K:BB over 22.1 innings. He's absorbing the roster spot vacated by Mason Montgomery, who was sent down to Durham.
