Vest worked around a hit to toss a scoreless inning of relief and earn the save in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Rays. He struck out three.

Vest continued his strong recent stretch of play, as he's now rattled off seven straight scoreless appearances, and he's struck out 11 batters during that time. The veteran righty is starting to pull away as Detroit's top closing option, as he has a team-high 15 saves compared to nine for Tommy Kahnle. Kahnle only has two saves since the beginning of June, while Vest has compiled seven saves over that stretch. Both players have pitched well and deserve attention in fantasy leagues, but Vest is the preferred target at the moment.

Flaherty allowed just two runs on seven hits across 6.1 innings but settled for a no-decision in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Rays. He walked one and struck out eight.

Over his last two starts, Flaherty has allowed five runs across 11.1 innings while striking out 17, but he's settled for no-decisions both times. It's at least a step in the right direction for the veteran righty, who was tagged for 18 runs across 13 innings in his previous three outings. Overall, it's been an up-and-down year for Flaherty, and his ERA is sitting at 4.70, up from the 3.17 mark he posted during the 2024 regular season for the Tigers and Dodgers. He'll look to keep building momentum in his next scheduled start, which is currently lined up for Sunday against the Mariners at home.

Rafaela went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double and two RBI in Tuesday's 10-2 win over the Rockies.

Rafaela's three-game home-run streak ended, but he maintained an extra-base hit streak that reached six games. His two-run double in the sixth inning was part of a four-run frame that broke open a scoreless tie. Rafaela is 10-for-24 with six doubles, three homers and eight RBI during his extra-base hit streak. A ninth-place batter for much of the season, Rafaela was moved up to sixth in the order for the night.

Keith went 2-for-3 with a walk, a home run and three RBI in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Rays.

With Detroit trailing 2-1 entering the bottom of the fifth inning, Keith singled home a run to tie the game. He then had an even bigger hit two innings later, breaking the tie with a two-run home run, his eighth long ball of the season and second in as many days. Keith has been dialed in lately, recording a .441 batting average and 1.281 OPS over his last 10 contests. The 23-year-old has also settled in as Detroit's main leadoff option recently, and he's responded well in the role.

Torkelson went 1-for-2 with two walks and a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Rays.

Torkelson mashed his 21st home run of the season in the fourth inning to help the Tigers increase their league-leading win total to 59. The slugger has now gone deep four times over his last eight games, and his career high of 31 long balls, which he recorded back in 2023, is within reach if Torkelson can stay healthy. To date, he's played in 87 of Detroit's 93 contests and is second on the team in homers and RBI, trailing All-Star starter Riley Greene in both categories.

Carter went 1-for-4 with a walk, a double, three RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 13-1 win over the Angels.

Carter's ground-rule double produced two runs, and he walked with the bases loaded for a third RBI. Knocking in runs has been a rarity for Carter, who entered the contest with just one RBI over the previous 17 games. The outfielder has just 14 RBI through 37 games this season.

Seager went 2-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 13-1 win over the Angels.

Seager went deep for the second consecutive game with his solo shot in the sixth inning. It was the shortstop's 13th of the season and sixth in the last 11 contests. The two-hit night extended a hit streak to 13 games, during which he's 16-for-48 (.333) with nine extra-base hits, 12 walks, 12 RBI, one steal and 15 runs scored.

Rocchio went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 10-6 extra-inning win over the Astros.

Rocchio connected for his first homer of the season in the fourth inning, which gave the Guardians a 6-1 lead. The shortstop didn't do much initially after being recalled July 1, but he's gone 4-for-6 with two doubles, a home run and three RBI in two games to start the series against Houston. Rocchio will continue to get the majority of the starts at shortstop while Gabriel Arias (ankle) recovers on the 10-day injured list.

Ramirez went 1-for-3 with two walks, a home run, two RBI, two steals and two additional runs scored in Tuesday's 10-6 extra-inning win over Houston.

Ramirez got the night started with a two-run home run in the first inning to give the Guardians an early lead. It was his second straight game with a homer and his third long ball in the last four games -- it's safe to say Ramirez has moved beyond the 0-for-21 slump he endured last week. He's up to 16 home runs and 24 steals for the season.

Soriano (6-6) took the loss Tuesday against the Rangers, giving up five runs on three hits and five walks in four innings. He struck out four.

The fourth inning was a rather disastrous one for Soriano, who allowed five runs on three hits (two doubles) and three walks in that frame alone after firing three hitless innings to begin his outing. The five walks set a season high as well. While Soriano has logged at least six frames and allowed one run or fewer in five of his last eight outings, he's now yielded at least five runs in the other three appearances during that span. With a 4.00 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 95:52 K:BB through 108 innings for the year, he'll be hard to trust this weekend in a difficult assignment at home versus the Diamondbacks.
