Kim (back) isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the White Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Kim departed Monday's game early due to lower-back tightness, and he'll take an additional day off Tuesday to recover. Taylor Walls will fill in at shortstop, opening up second base for Jose Caballero.

Jansen isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the White Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Jansen will grab a seat on the bench Tuesday after making two consecutive starts, going 2-for-6 with a home run and an additional run scored in the process. Matt Thaiss will take over behind the plate and bat seventh.

The Athletics placed Muncy (hand) on the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Muncy, who was hit by a pitch on the right hand Monday, appeared to have avoided a serious injury when X-rays came back negative, but he'll still need to spend some time on the shelf. The 22-year-old will be eligible to be rejoin the active roster in early August. Luis Urias and Gio Urshela are the likely candidates to man second base while Muncy is out.

Eovaldi (back) said Tuesday that he's good to go for Wednesday's start against the Athletics and does not expect to have any restrictions, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Eovaldi had to be scratched from a scheduled outing Sunday versus the Tigers due to back tightness, but he will return to the mound after simply being pushed back a few days. The veteran hurler has collected a microscopic 1.58 ERA and 0.85 WHIP over 16 outings for the Rangers this season.

The Athletics recalled Cortes from Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Cortes has put up a 1.017 OPS with 17 home runs at hitter-friendly Las Vegas and the Pacific Coast League this season. The 28-year-old can play both corner outfield spots and will be making his major-league debut when/if he gets into a game.

The Athletics recalled Thomas from Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Thomas didn't play much during his first stint in the majors, but it's possible he'll get a longer look due to Denzel Clarke (adductor) getting shelved. The 24-year-old Thomas has slashed .291/.366/.529 with 18 home runs this season with Las Vegas and is worth scooping up in fantasy leagues if it looks like he will play regularly.

The Athletics placed Clarke on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a Grade 2 right adductor strain.

Clarke suffered the injury during Sunday's game against the Guardians. There's no word yet on how long Clarke might be sidelined, but given the nature of the injury, it would be a surprise if it's a minimum absence. Lawrence Butler slid over to center field to cover for Clarke on Monday in Texas and could continue to play the position while the latter is sidelined.

Robert is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rays.

Robert has come out of the All-Star break hot, going 7-for-14 with a homer, three stolen bases, five RBI and seven runs in four games, but he'll take a seat for Tuesday's contest. Michael Taylor will receive the nod in center field and bat ninth against Tampa Bay righty Drew Rasmussen.

Dominguez is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game in Toronto.

The Blue Jays are starting right-hander Max Scherzer, marking the first time over the Yankees' last eight contests versus righties that the switch-hitting Dominguez has been out of the lineup. Cody Bellinger will patrol left field and Trent Grisham will be in center field for the Yankees.

The Royals designated Gentry for assignment Tuesday.

The 26-year-old has been at Triple-A Omaha all season and has now lost his place on the 40-man roster. Gentry went 0-for-5 over three games in his first taste of the majors last season and struggled to a .642 OPS in 249 plate appearances this year at Triple-A.
