Clemens isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Dodgers.

Clemens racked up four hits and four RBI over his first two games out of the All-Star break, but he went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts and a sacrifice fly Monday. He'll now take a seat Tuesday, opening a spot in the lineup for Ty France to start at first base.

The Orioles recalled Carlson from Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Carlson's promotion comes as Luis Vazquez was optioned to Norfolk prior to Tuesday's game. Carlson was demoted July 3 and has gone 8-for-27 with two home runs and six walks across seven games with the Tides. However, he has not managed an OPS over .696 in the majors since his career-high .780 OPS in 2021.

The Astros recalled Hernandez from Triple-A Sugar Land on Tuesday.

With Lance McCullers (finger) headed to the injured list, Hernandez will rejoin the Astros' bullpen to give the Astros an extra relief option. The 27-year-old righty has given up two runs in two MLB innings this year, but he owns an impressive 1.70 ERA and 0.97 WHIP through 37 frames in the minors.

The Astros placed McCullers on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a blister on his right finger, retroactive to Sunday.

McCullers was lit up for four earned runs in just 2.2 innings during his last start Friday, and his move to the IL will ensure that his next outing doesn't come until at least early August. Nick Hernandez was recalled from Triple-A Sugar Land to provide Houston with some extra bullpen depth, though it's currently unclear who will fill the open spot in the rotation.

Pederson (hand) resumed taking live batting practice Tuesday, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Pederson is expected to take another round of batting practice Wednesday, and if everything goes smoothly, he could be sent out on a rehab assignment shortly thereafter. Given that he's been on the shelf since May 25 due to a right hand fracture, Pederson could require multiple games in the minors to get his timing back at the plate, though manager Bruce Bochy said Tuesday that he doesn't expect the 33-year-old's assignment to last very long.

O'Neill isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus Cleveland, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

O'Neill will step out of the lineup Tuesday after going 0-for-3 in Monday's series opener. Jordan Westburg will act as Baltimore's designated hitter instead, and Ramon Laureano will start in right field.

Kim (back) isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the White Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Kim departed Monday's game early due to lower-back tightness, and he'll take an additional day off Tuesday to recover. Taylor Walls will fill in at shortstop, opening up second base for Jose Caballero.

Jansen isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the White Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Jansen will grab a seat on the bench Tuesday after making two consecutive starts, going 2-for-6 with a home run and an additional run scored in the process. Matt Thaiss will take over behind the plate and bat seventh.

The Athletics placed Muncy (hand) on the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Muncy, who was hit by a pitch on the right hand Monday, appeared to have avoided a serious injury when X-rays came back negative, but he'll still need to spend some time on the shelf. The 22-year-old will be eligible to be rejoin the active roster in early August. Luis Urias and Gio Urshela are the likely candidates to man second base while Muncy is out.

Eovaldi (back) said Tuesday that he's good to go for Wednesday's start against the Athletics and does not expect to have any restrictions, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Eovaldi had to be scratched from a scheduled outing Sunday versus the Tigers due to back tightness, but he will return to the mound after simply being pushed back a few days. The veteran hurler has collected a microscopic 1.58 ERA and 0.85 WHIP over 16 outings for the Rangers this season.
