Narvaez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins.

He will rest for just the third time in 12 games since the All-Star break while Connor Wong receives a start behind the dish. Narvaez has gotten off to a slow start to the second half, going just 5-for-35 (.143 average) with one home run, two RBI and three runs.

Vierling is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Vierling had started three of the Tigers' last four games in center field but will hit the bench while Javier Baez gets a day out of the infield and draws a start in center for the first time since June 4. With Parker Meadows (quadriceps) recently landing on the shelf, the Tigers could opt for a loose timeshare in center between Vierling and Baez, neither of whom has produced especially well at the plate over the past month.

Dingler is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Dingler will receive a rest after he was behind the plate for each of Detroit's last three games while going 7-for-13 with one home run, four runs and five RBI. Jake Rogers will form a battery with starting pitcher Chris Paddack on Wednesday in the latter's Detroit debut.

The White Sox recalled Robertson from Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday.

He'll join the 26-man active roster as a replacement for outfielder Austin Slater, who was traded to the Yankees. Robertson went hitless in six plate appearances during a previous stint with the White Sox earlier this season. He could see more action in the final two months, especially if Chicago makes additional trades of their position players leading up to Thursday's deadline.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Wednesday that Crochet won't make his next start until Monday or Tuesday versus the Royals at Fenway Park as part of a workload-management plan, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

Crochet had been lined up to pitch Friday's series opener versus the Astros, but the Red Sox will instead break in a spot starter or treat that game as a bullpen day in order to afford the 26-year-old lefty some extra rest. Though he's maintained excellent health throughout his first season in Boston, Crochet is in his second year as a full-time starter and missed all of 2022 and the early part of the 2023 campaign while recovering from Tommy John surgery. As such, the Red Sox are cognizant of not overextending Crochet, even though he hasn't yet shown any signs of wearing down as he closes in on surpassing his innings total from last season (146). The Red Sox haven't indicated that they plan on having Crochet skip additional turns through the rotation over the rest of the season, though that could become more of a consideration if the team fades from playoff contention.

Correa (illness) is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.

Correa exited Tuesday's 8-5 loss after feeling lightheaded, although it's unclear if that's the reason for his absence from Wednesday's lineup. He is also rumored to be drawing trade interest from the Astros as Thursday's deadline approaches, per Bob Nightengale of USA Today. Brooks Lee will start at shortstop and bat second in Wednesday's series finale.

The White Sox acquired Ziehl from the Yankees on Wednesday in exchange for outfielder Austin Slater, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

Recently promoted to High-A Hudson Valley, Ziehl has spent most of the 2025 season at Single-A Tampa, with whom he's posted a 4.00 ERA and 63:14 K:BB over 74.1 innings covering 14 starts. The 22-year-old was a fourth-round pick of the Yankees in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft.

Mayo is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Mayo will be on the bench for the series finale after he had started in each of Baltimore's last four games while going 4-for-13 with two extra-base hits and a walk. Since getting called up from Triple-A Norfolk on May 31, Mayo has maintained a .749 OPS and has begun to earn more playing time against lefties especially, but Baltimore may need to move another key bat ahead of Thursday's trade deadline in order for the young infielder to gain more of a foothold in the everyday lineup.

Urias is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Urias will hit the bench for the final game of the series after he picked up starts in both halves of Tuesday's doubleheader. Though the Orioles should continue to make room for Urias in the lineup against left-handed pitching on a regular basis, he'll likely have to settle for more of a part-time role in the infield against righties now that Baltimore has all of its key position players available with the exception of Ryan Mountcastle (hamstring), who will likely return from the injured list next week.

The Yankees acquired Slater from the White Sox on Wednesday in exchange for right-hander Gage Ziehl, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Slater has slashed .261/.338/.522 this season against left-handed pitching, so he will give the Yankees an option at all three outfield position versus southpaws. He is making $1.75 million in 2025 and is an impending free agent.
