Rodriguez went 1-for-3 with two RBI, a walk and a run scored in Sunday's 11-4 win over the Athletics.
It's been a strong month so far for Rodriguez, who's batting .294 with 13 extra-base hits, 17 RBI, 13 runs scored and three RBI over 85 at-bats in August. The All-Star center fielder also has at least one hit in 15 of his last 21 outings. Dating back to the start of June, Rodriguez is hitting a healthy .272 with 35 extra-base knocks, 41 RBI, 46 runs scored and 16 steals across his last 74 contests.

Tigers' Spencer Torkelson: Goes deep again Sunday
Torkelson went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 10-8 loss to the Royals.
Torkelson launched his 28th home run of the season and second in as many days in the seventh inning. The Detroit first baseman is closing in on his career high of 31 home runs, which he tallied in 159 games back in 2023. He's recorded his 28 long balls this year in just 126 games, giving Torkelson a good chance at setting a new highwater mark if he stays healthy.

Tigers' Riley Greene: Homers again Sunday
Greene went 1-for-2 with a walk, a solo home run and three total runs scored in Sunday's 10-8 loss to the Royals.
While Greene's batting average hasn't been great in recent weeks, he is in the middle of a power surge. The outfielder is just 11-for-47 over his last 14 games, but five of those hits have left the yard. Greene is now up to 31 home runs and 95 RBI for the season, both of which lead the team and are among the top 10 in the majors.

Blue Jays' Daulton Varsho: Goes deep in loss
Varsho went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Marlins.
Varsho provided all of the Blue Jays' offense with a 424-foot blast in the seventh inning. It continued a scorching August for the 29-year-old, who has seven homers, 20 RBI and 12 runs scored over 19 games this month. On the season, he's slashing .234/.288/.591 with 15 long balls, 40 RBI, 26 runs and one steal across 170 plate appearances.

Blue Jays' Kevin Gausman: One rough inning in loss
Gausman (8-10) took the loss against the Marlins on Sunday, allowing four runs on seven hits and one walk with seven strikeouts over six innings.
Gausman was locked in a pitcher's duel with Eury Perez before giving up a bases-loaded triple in the fifth. It marked only the second time in seven outings since the All-Star break that the 34-year-old allowed more than two earned runs, a stretch that includes four quality starts and a 3.07 ERA. He'll carry a 3.87 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 149:43 K:BB across 153.2 innings this season into a home matchup with the Brewers next weekend.

Angels' Taylor Ward: Reaches 30-homer mark
Ward went 2-for-4 with a homer, a double, two RBI and an additional run scored in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Cubs.
Ward opened the game's scoring with a 400-foot solo shot off Chicago starter Jameson Taillon in the first. With the long ball, the Los Angeles outfielder became the 43rd Angel all-time to notch a 30-HR season while being the first since Shohei Ohtani accomplished the feat in 2023. Through 551 total plate appearances, Ward is slashing .233/.316/.488 with 94 RBI and 72 runs scored across 128 games.

Angels' Kyle Hendricks: Saddled with ninth loss
Hendricks (6-9) took the loss Sunday against the Cubs, allowing four runs on five hits and three walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out two.
The Angels right-hander conceded three or more free passes for the sixth time this season in his first ever appearance against his former club. Hendricks limited the Chicago lineup -- yielding two doubles and three singles -- but wound up being tagged with three or more runs for the third consecutive outing. The 35-year-old remains difficult to roster in fantasy thanks to a 5.04 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 87:37 K:BB over 130.1 total frames while giving up 21 homers. Hendricks is currently in line to make his next start at Houston next weekend.

Rangers' Wyatt Langford: Swipes two bases in win
Langford went 1-for-4 with two steals, two RBI and a walk in Sunday's 5-0 victory versus Cleveland.
The 23-year-old notched his fifth career multi-steal performance, as he pilfered both second and third off Guardians starter Gavin Williams in the opening frame. Langford has been on a tear this month, batting .284 (21-for-74) with four homers, three steals, 14 runs scored, 11 RBI and 15 walks across 21 games. Overall, the University of Florida product has 19 homers, 18 steals, 60 runs scored and 54 RBI with a .248/.338/.437 slash line through 473 plate appearances.

Rangers' Rowdy Tellez: Slugs 15th long ball
Tellez went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer and two walks in Sunday's 5-0 victory over Cleveland.
The Texas first baseman went deep for the second consecutive game with a 426-foot, two-run shot off Guardians starter Gavin Williams in the fourth. Since joining the Rangers on July 18, Tellez has been a surprisingly dependable bat, hitting .283 with four long balls, 13 RBI and eight runs scored across 25 contests while playing in a strong-side platoon role. Through 253 total plate appearances, the 30-year-old is slashing .227/.277/.459 with 40 RBI and 28 runs scored with Texas and Seattle.

Rangers' Merrill Kelly: Cruises to 10th win
Kelly (10-7) tossed seven scoreless frames while allowing four hits and two walks to pick up the win Sunday against the Guardians. He struck out eight.
The veteran righty was masterful in this 96-pitch appearance to notch his third consecutive quality start, as he limited the Cleveland lineup to just four singles. Kelly has been dependable since joining the Rangers at the trade deadline, pitching to a 3.10 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 26:8 K:BB across 29 frames. In 157.2 total innings with Texas and Arizona, the 36-year-old now sports a 3.20 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 147:46 K:BB while tallying 16 quality starts. The free-agent-to-be is currently scheduled to make his next start on the road at the Athletics next weekend.
