Joey Estes SP | ATH
Athletics' Joey Estes: Strong relief outing
Estes allowed a hit and no walks with a strikeout over four scoreless innings in Sunday's 11-4 loss to the Mariners.
Estes was called on to eat innings in Sunday's blowout loss and delivered four scoreless frames out of the bullpen. It marked his first big-league appearance since April 6, when he opened the year in the rotation and gave up 12 earned runs over seven innings across two starts. With the Athletics' rotation dealing with injuries, Estes could play his way back into a starting role before season's end.

Bo Bichette 3B | NYM
Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: On base three times Sunday
Bichette went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double and a run scored in Sunday's loss to the Marlins.
The shortstop extended his hitting streak to nine games with the performance, a stretch in which he's batting a sizzling .444 (16-for-36) with five doubles, five RBI and eight runs. Bichette hasn't homered since Aug. 6 and hasn't stolen a base since May 4, but he's racked up plenty of fantasy value all the same, leading the majors with 164 hits while compiling a .304/.348/.471 slash line over 128 contests with 16 home runs, four steals, 70 runs and 83 RBI.

Carlos Vargas RP | SEA
Mariners' Carlos Vargas: Rough stretch continues
Vargas gave up two runs on three hits and one walk in the seventh inning during Sunday's 11-4 win over the Athletics. He struck out one.
Vargas was brought on with the Mariners in possession of a commanding 11-1 lead, so his rough showing didn't play much of a factor in the outcome of the game. The right-hander will likely remain being used primarily as a middle reliever and low-leverage arm, given Vargas owns a 5.57 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 11:6 K:BB over his last 21 innings since the start of July.

Mike Tauchman CF | NYM
White Sox's Mike Tauchman: Scores twice
Tauchman went 2-for-4 with two runs scored Sunday against the Twins.
Tauchman was back in the lineup and led off after missing Saturday's game with lower-body soreness. He singled in both the first and second innings and came around to score on each occasion. The performance also extended Tauchman's hitting streak to six games, during which he's recorded three RBI and five runs scored.

Colson Montgomery SS | CHW
White Sox's Colson Montgomery: Homers in third straight
Montgomery went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Sunday against the Twins.
Montgomery contributed to an early offensive barrage for the White Sox, as his home run came in the second inning and put the team up 7-0. He homered in all three games against the Twins over the weekend, giving him 13 long balls across his first 160 plate appearances in the majors. While his power is prodigious, Montgomery's inability to make consistent contact has persisted, potentially jeopardizing his production in the long term.
-
Edgar Quero C | CHW
White Sox's Edgar Quero: Knocks in three
Quero went 2-for-4 with three RBI on Sunday against the Twins.
Quero has started every other game across the last 10 days, forming an impressive duo with Kyle Teel behind the plate. The sporadic playing time makes it difficult to count on Quero for fantasy production, but he has delivered when in the lineup. In 14 games during August, he has gone 15-for-49 with one homer, eight RBI and four runs scored.
-
Kyle Teel C | CHW
White Sox's Kyle Teel: Stays hot
Teel went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored Sunday against the Twins.
Teel delivered RBI singles in each of the first two innings, continuing his tear at the plate. He's gone 11-for-23 with two homers, eight RBI and seven runs scored across his last six games. Teel has moved up in the White Sox's order as a result of his hot streak, as he's hit third in four of his last five starts and served as the leadoff hitter on the fifth occasion.

Cam Smith RF | HOU
Astros' Cam Smith: Productive despite no hits
Smith went 0-for-3 with a walk, a run and a stolen base Sunday against the Orioles.
Smith has seen his playing time slip against right-handed pitching, though he was in the lineup Sunday with Trevor Rogers on the mound. While it was a peoductive day, Smith wasn't able to end his hitless streak, and he now has failed to tally a hit in five straight starts and seven of his last eight. Smith has had a streaky rookie season, and he could see his playing time continue to decline in the final month of the campaign.
-
Jeremy Pena SS | HOU
Astros' Jeremy Pena: Records 18th steal
Pena went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a stolen base Sunday against the Orioles.
Pena recorded hits in each of his first two at-bats, the latter of which was an RBI single. He was then awarded third base due to an engagement violation, accounting for his 18th stolen base of the year. While a long stint on the injured list in July has muted his counting stats, Pena has a chance to reach 20 home runs for the first time since his rookie season and has a career-best .842 OPS across 432 plate appearances.

Carson Williams SS | TB
Rays' Carson Williams: Swipes first bag
Williams went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and two runs scored Sunday against the Cardinals.
Williams made his second big-league start and continued to flash his fantasy upside. After homering in his debut, Williams tallied his first steal and has attempted a stolen base in each of his first two contests. His ability to make consistent contact remains a concern, but there is considerable power and speed intrigue in his profile that has already been on display.
