Triple-A Buffalo placed Martinez on its 7-day injured list Wednesday due to an unspecified injury.

Martinez hadn't played since Aug. 31 due to the injury before Buffalo deactivated him. The 23-year-old had a brief cup of coffee in the majors last summer, but after being issued an 80-game suspension shortly after his promotion, Martinez hasn't resurfaced in Toronto. He's spent the entire 2025 season at Buffalo and hasn't made much of a case for a call-up while slashing just .176/.288/.348 with a 28.5 percent strikeout rate across 393 plate appearances.

Arias was removed from Monday's game against the Royals due to right wrist inflammation, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Stebbins notes that Arias was lifted from the matchup as a precaution, so it's fair to consider him day-to-day until more information on the injury comes to light. Angel Martinez could be in line for opportunities at shortstop if Arias is forced to sit for a few days.

Schneemann went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 10-2 victory over Kansas City.

The 28-year-old posted his fourth three-hit game of the season in this contest and notched his 18th double. Schneemann entered Monday mired in a cold spell, slashing .094/.171/.219 in 35 plate appearances over his 10 previous games. He continues to play regularly in a strong-side platoon role, producing a .682 OPS with 11 homers, nine steals, 44 runs scored and 38 RBI across 115 total games.

Rocchio went 3-for-4 with a walk, one RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 10-2 rout of the Royals.

The 24-year-old notched his second three-hit performance of the season, with the first coming July 8 at Houston. Rocchio, who entered the season with a .213 career batting average, has been much improved at the plate since the All-Star break, hitting .272 (43-for-158) with three homers, four steals, 28 RBI and 16 runs scored across 48 contests. Overall, the Venezuelan is now slashing .236/.294/.342 with 40 RBI and 27 runs scored in 317 total plate appearances.

Cecconi (6-6) earned the win Monday against the Royals, allowing one hit and three walks over eight scoreless innings with three strikeouts.

The Cleveland right-hander turned in his second scoreless outing of the season -- with the first coming June 22 against the Athletics -- as he picked up his 10th quality start. This dazzling performance was a welcome sight for Cecconi, who had struggled with a 6.19 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 35:8 K:BB across 52.1 innings in nine post-All-Star break starts. Through 115.1 total frames, the 26-year-old now sports a 4.45 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 94:29 K:BB. He currently lines up to make his next start at home against the White Sox this weekend.

Bergert (2-2) allowed eight runs on 11 hits and three walks over 3.1 innings to take the loss Monday against Cleveland. He struck out three.

Despite not conceding a homer, Bergert was absolutely lit up in this 77-pitch appearance, coughing up eight runs and 11 hits -- both setting career worsts. The rookie right-hander completely unraveled in the fourth inning, when he gave up six runs on six hits before being relieved by Daniel Lynch. Thanks to this performance, Bergert's ERA ballooned from 2.61 to 3.48 across 72.1 total frames with the Royals and Padres. The 25-year-old projects for tough matchup in his next start, which is currently scheduled to come at Philadelphia this weekend.

Wantz (elbow) threw a scoreless inning and struck out one during Saturday's game against Triple-A Gwinnett.

Wantz was officially activated from the 60-day injured list Sept. 1 after recovering from right elbow surgery. He's looked sharp in three appearances since his return to Triple-A, firing three scoreless frames while registering two strikeouts and one walk.

Martinez (undisclosed) was released by Baltimore on Sept. 4.

Martinez appeared in 16 games at Triple-A Norfolk this season, recording a 4.96 ERA and 1.99 WHIP with 21 strikeouts across 16.1 innings. He missed a good chunk of the season while on the mend from an undisclosed injury and hadn't yet returned from a rehab assignment before being handed his release.

Rivas will start at second base and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Since being called up from Triple-A Tacoma when the Mariners' active roster expanded from 26 to 28 men, Rivas has gone 3-for-10 with a pair of extra-base hits and two walks. Though the sample has been small, Rivas' performance appears to have at least temporarily allowed him to overtake Cole Young as Seattle's preferred option at the keystone. The switch-hitting Rivas will be included in the starting nine for the third time in four games, including a second straight matchup versus a right-handed starting pitcher (Miles Mikolas).

Adell has been scratched from Monday's game against the Twins due to vertigo, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Adell was initially penciled in to man right field in Monday's series opener, but he's been unable to put this issue behind him after also experiencing the illness Sunday, resulting in his removal from the matchup. He'll continue to be considered day-to-day moving forward. Matthew Lugo will draw the start in right field and bat seventh in Adell's absence.
