Meadows went 3-for-5 with a home run, two total runs scored and three RBI in Tuesday's 12-2 win over the Yankees.

Meadows hit his second home run in his last three games and fourth of the season in the fifth inning with a runner on against New York starter Will Warren. The outfielder added an RBI single in the seventh. While Meadows is slashing just .216/.291/.351 overall this season, he's been better lately with a .276/.364/.552 line across his last 10 contests, which date back to July due to him missing time with a strained right quad. The 25-year-old should continue to start regularly in center because of his strong defensive play, and increased production at the plate would be an added bonus.

Gomez allowed four runs on five hits and a walk while striking out five in five innings Tuesday against the Rays. He did not factor into the decision.

Three of the four runs against Gomez came via the long ball -- a two-run homer by Josh Lowe in the second and a solo shot by Richie Palacios in the fourth. It marks Gomez's first time in 18 appearances this season allowing multiple home runs. Gomez's strikeout numbers remain solid, as he has a 10.6 K/9 in his last four outings and he's issued only two walks in his last two starts after having some command and control issues to end August. Gomez lines up to complete a two-start week against the Guardians this weekend.

Fairbanks picked up the save Tuesday against the White Sox, throwing a perfect ninth inning. He did not record a strikekout.

Fairbanks snapped a streak of five consecutive outings allowing at least one hit. During that stretch, he surrendered four runs on nine hits, including three home runs, with eight strikeouts across five innings. Wednesday's save was Fairbanks' 25th of the campaign, tying his most saves in a season during his seven-year career. He has a 3.15 ERA in 54.1 innings this season.

Mize (14-5) allowed two runs on four hits across six innings of work to earn the win in Tuesday's 12-2 victory over the Yankees. He struck out eight.

Mize allowed a solo home run to Aaron Judge in the first inning and then allowed another solo shot to Cody Bellinger in the fourth, but that was all New York could muster against the righty, who cruised to the win with plenty of run support. After giving up five runs across just 3.1 innings in an Aug. 27 start, Mize has responded by allowing only three total runs in 11 innings over his last two appearances, earning the win both times. The righty will take a 3.83 ERA and 1.27 WHIP into his next outing, which is scheduled for Sunday against the Marlins on the road.

Teel went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to the Rays.

Teel opened up the scoring with a first-inning solo home run, his third home run over his last six games. He's been red hot in the second half and one of the most productive players at his position, slashing .313/.391/.515 with seven homers, 23 RBI, 22 runs, two steals and a 15:30 BB:K across 151 plate appearances.

Houser didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the White Sox, allowing three runs on four hits and no walks across 5.1 innings. He struck out nine.

Houser has now set a season high in strikeouts in back-to-back appearances, after previously not fanning more than six hitters in a start. The 32-year-old hasn't taken a loss in five outings, posting a 3.90 ERA and 29:6 K:BB across his last 27.2 innings. Houser is on track to face the Cubs on Sunday for his next start.

Gelof went 2-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's 6-0 loss to the Red Sox.

The steal was Gelof's first of the season. The second baseman has hit .300 (9-for-30) to begin September, but he's also racked up 12 strikeouts over eight games in that time. For the season, he's batting .195 with a .553 OPS, two home runs, seven RBI and 11 runs scored across 83 plate appearances.

Wilson went 3-for-4 with a double in Tuesday's 6-0 loss to the Red Sox.

Wilson has logged four games of three hits over his last nine contests. He was responsible for the Athletics' lone extra-base hit Tuesday, which was his first since a Sept. 1 double versus the Cardinals. The shortstop has a .319/.360/.451 slash line with 12 home runs, 56 RBI, 55 runs scored, five stolen bases and 21 doubles over 110 contests. While he doesn't walk a lot with a 5.2 percent walk rate, his 7.6 percent strikeout rate has enabled him to remain effective throughout the season through pure contact skills.

Springs (10-11) allowed five runs on eight hits and struck out six without walking a batter over five innings to take the loss Tuesday versus the Red Sox.

Springs gave up two home runs and four total runs in the first inning, and the Athletics weren't able to battle back from that. This is the first time the left-hander has allowed multiple home runs in a start since July 13 versus the Blue Jays, and it was Springs' third consecutive loss. The 32-year-old is now at a 4.28 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 132:49 K:BB through 162 innings over 30 appearances (28 starts) this season. Springs is tentatively projected for a road rematch in Boston next week.

Refsnyder went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 6-0 win over the Athletics.

Refsnyder stretched Boston's early lead to 4-0 in the first inning. The outfielder has gone 6-for-20 (.300) over six games in September while continuing to play primarily in a short-side platoon role. He's been strong with that kind of usage throughout the season, supplying a .281/.361/.500 slash line with eight homers, 27 RBI, 27 runs scored, three stolen bases and 11 doubles over 183 plate appearances this season.
