Arcia (wrist) began taking dry swings Thursday, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

It's a significant step forward for Arcia, who had been limited to throwing and running over the last few weeks but is now getting into a fuller range of baseball activities. There is still no exact timetable on his return from a microfracture in his left wrist, an injury he suffered April 12, but the middle of May seems like a reasonable target as things stand with his ongoing rehab.

Berti is starting at shortstop and batting leadoff Thursday versus Atlanta, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Jazz Chisholm has the day off and Joey Wendle (intercostal) is still out on a rehab assignment, so Berti will make get another turn out of the leadoff spot -- his second in the Marlins' last four games. The 33-year-old speedster figures to move back into more of a utility role once Wendle returns.

Anderson is absent from the White Sox's lineup for Thursday's game against the Twins.

Anderson had three hits Wednesday, but the team just wants to ease him back into things after he returned from a knee injury earlier this week. Elvis Andrus will play shortstop and Lenyn Sosa will handle second base.

Neto (finger) is in the Angels' lineup for Thursday's game versus the Cardinals, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Neto had to leave Wednesday's game when a finger got hit during a bunt attempt, but he's ready to roll a day later. He will bat leadoff and play shortstop against Jack Flaherty.

Marcano is starting at shortstop and batting leadoff Thursday against the Rays, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

This is Marcano's second turn at leadoff in the last week. Ke'Bryan Hayes, who continues to struggle offensively, is hitting seventh for Pittsburgh in Thursday's matinee. Rodolfo Castro is on the bench.

Neto (finger) said in an interview on MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM on Thursday that he "woke up this morning feeling like a brand new person."

It doesn't necessarily mean Neto will be ready to return to the lineup Thursday in St. Louis, but it's certainly an encouraging sign he'll be back soon. Neto suffered a right finger contusion on a bunt attempt Wednesday.

Lindor went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a loss to the Tigers during the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader.

His fifth-inning shot deep to left field off Joey Wentz gave the Mets a 5-4 lead, but Adam Ottavino coughed it up in the eighth. Lindor snapped a 13-game homer drought with the blast during which he hit just .180 (9-for-50), so his bat may be emerging from its slumber. After a 1-for-4 performance in the nightcap, the shortstop is slashing .217/.321/.443 through 31 contests with five homers, four steals, 21 runs and 24 RBI.

Texas manager Bruce Bochy said Wednesday that Seager (hamstring) is seven-to-10 days from returning to the lineup.

That time frame presumably includes a short rehab assignment for Seager, who was seen this week taking grounders with infielders and performing other baseball-related activities. Until his return, Ezequiel Duran should continue to hold down shortstop.

Witt went 1-for-4 with a triple, two runs, an RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 6-0 victory versus Baltimore.

A day after hitting his fifth homer of the season, Witt's speed was on display Wednesday. He reached on a fielder's choice in the sixth inning, stole second and subsequently came around to score. He added an RBI triple in the seventh before crossing the plate again. Witt has three thefts over his past five games and is tied for 12th in the league with eight steals on the campaign.

Baez went 2-for-7 with a solo home run and three runs scored across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Mets.

Baez's two games Wednesday were a good representation of his time in Detroit. He looked good in Game 1, going 2-for-3 with the home run, which was his first of the year, and three runs scored. The shortstop then went 0-for-4 and left five runners on base in the nightcap. Baez is now batting .237 overall in 2023 and has been largely disappointing for fantasy managers dating back to last season, though he's shown flashes of promise.
