Rojas is not in Saturday's lineup against the Padres, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

After starting the last four games at shortstop, Rojas will head to the bench while Mookie Betts handles the six. Rojas is hitting .250 with one stolen base in 10 games this month.

Allen went 3-for-5 with a run in a win over the Rangers on Friday.

Allen's multi-hit effort was his first of the season and snapped an 0-for-13 slump that had encompassed his previous five games. The young shortstop has struggled to a .152 average and .378 OPS across 51 big-league plate appearances thus far in 2023 and could be headed back to Triple-A Las Vegas in coming days if Aledmys Diaz (hamstring) is activated from the injured list Sunday as projected.

Reyes' contract was officially selected from Triple-A Worcester on Saturday, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.

Boston acquired Reyes from Oakland for cash Friday and will quickly bring him up to the majors. The 29-year-old journeyman can play anywhere on the diamond, and it's his defensive versatility that likely appealed to Boston more than his offensive skill set. Reyes has a career .238/.307/.361 slash line with six home runs and five steals in 323 MLB plate appearances.

Bogaerts went 1-for-4 with a double, a run and a stolen base in a loss to the Dodgers on Friday.

Bogaerts helped generate one of two San Diego runs in the seventh inning, hitting a double to center field, swiping third base and subsequently coming around to score. The shortstop has had a slow start to the month, slashing .139/.244/.194 across nine contests. He began the season with four long balls over his first 12 games but has gone deep just twice in 26 contests since.

Lindor went 1-for-5 with three RBI in Friday's 3-2 win over the Nationals.

The shortstop accomplished one of the rarest feats in baseball, as he drove in three runs with a bases-loaded single -- with two outs and the count full in the sixth inning, Brandon Nimmo got a fantastic jump off first base and caught CJ Abrams napping after the Nats shortstop received the relay throw from center field. Lindor is finding ways to be productive, but his overall numbers remain a little sluggish. Through 12 games in May, he's slashing .234/.308/.383 with two homers, two steals, five runs and nine RBI.

Volpe went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Friday's 6-5 win over the Rays.

The rookie shortstop socked a solo shot off Josh Fleming in the fifth inning before adding an RBI single in the seventh. Volpe has two homers in the last three games, giving him five on the season, but he's still looking for some consistency in the majors -- through 11 games in May, he's batting just .191 (9-for-47) with a 2:12 BB:K.

Smith went 1-for-1 with a solo home run in Friday's 9-7 victory over Texas.

Smith's 433-foot shot to left-center tied the game at 3-3 in the fourth inning. This marks just the sixth homer of the shortstop's career, and he still hasn't batted over .200 in a big-league season.

Franco went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts Friday against the Yankees.

Franco exited Thursday's game against the Yankees with a neck injury but was able to immediately return to the lineup. He had a subpar performance Friday and struck out multiple times in a game for the sixth time this season. That's hardly a reason for concern, however, as he has a .307/.363/.536 slash line across 168 plate appearances on the campaign.

DeJong went 0-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 8-6 win over the Red Sox.

DeJong also created a run when he grounded into a double play in the sixth inning. The shortstop has posted just two hitless efforts across his seven games in May. He's up to a .340/.404/.596 slash line with three home runs, six RBI, eight runs scored, three doubles and a steal through 14 contests this season. He'll likely continue to play on the short side of a platoon at shortstop, with Tommy Edman shifting over there against right-handed pitchers to allow Nolan Gorman to start at second base.

Reyes will have his contract selected by Boston from Triple-A Worcester on Saturday, Julian McWilliams of The Boston Globe reports.

It's already been reported that Bobby Dalbec is being sent down to Worcester before Saturday's game against the Cardinals, so this will be the corresponding transaction. Reyes was traded from Oakland to Boston on Friday, and the 29-year-old will provide some utility depth with the ability to play all over the diamond.
