Casey Schmitt DH | SF
Giants' Casey Schmitt: Breather Tuesday
Schmitt will take a seat Tuesday versus the Rockies, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Twins' Carlos Correa: Returns at shortstop Tuesday
Correa (heel) is back in the lineup Tuesday against the Rays.
Correa will start at shortstop and bat third versus the Rays and right-hander Zach Eflin after missing another stretch of games due to plantar fasciitis in his left foot. It's something he might have to manage the rest of the way, and his .207/.299/.372 slash line for the season leaves plenty to be desired.

Xander Bogaerts SS | SD
Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Out again Tuesday
Bogaerts (wrist) remains out of the lineup Tuesday against the Mariners.
This is the third straight absence for Bogaerts as he works through some nagging soreness in his left wrist. It has apparently been an issue since the spring. Ha-Seong Kim will play shortstop and bat leadoff for the Padres on Tuesday, with Rougned Odor covering second base and hitting eighth.

Pablo Reyes RF | SD
Red Sox's Pablo Reyes: Not starting Tuesday
Reyes isn't starting for Boston on Tuesday against the Guardians, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.
Reyes holds a .544 OPS across his last five games and will sit Tuesday. Enrique Hernandez will take his place at shortstop and bat sixth, marking his third start at short in Boston's last four games.

Nick Allen SS | HOU
Athletics' Nick Allen: Demoted to Triple-A
Allen was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Allen has made more starts at shortstop than any other Athletic this season, but even Oakland wasn't willing to put up with his .476 OPS any more. Kevin Smith has been recalled to take Allen's spot on the roster and should see ample time at shortstop along with Aledmys Diaz.

Kevin Smith DH | NYY
Athletics' Kevin Smith: Back in Oakland
The Athletics recalled Smith from Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.
Smith was optioned to Las Vegas on May 14 after recording just a .521 OPS in the majors through 82 plate appearances. Since returning to the minors, he's slashing .268/.302/.488 with two homers and eight RBI and figures to start primarily at shortstop while in Oakland. Nick Allen was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Joey Wendle 2B | ATL
Marlins' Joey Wendle: Double, two hits in win
Wendle went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in Monday's win over the Royals.
Wendle is starting to come around after a dreadful start to the year-- he's gone 7-for-15 (.467) with four doubles in five games to start June. Despite his early-season struggles, Miami has stuck with Wendle as its primary starting shortstop. He's now slashing .235/.316/.382 with five RBI and nine runs scored through 78 plate appearances.

Wander Franco SS | TB
Rays' Wander Franco: Two hits in return
Franco went 2-for-4 with a double in Monday's 4-1 win over the Red Sox.
Franco picked up where he left off Monday after missing Tampa Bay's previous two games with a hamstring injury. The 22-year-old shortstop has hits in nine straight contests, going 17-for-35 (.486) with a 1.176 OPS in that span. Franco has emerged as an elite fantasy option this season -- he's slashing .308/.372/.498 with seven homers, 21 stolen bases, 29 RBI and 37 runs scored through 253 plate appearances.

Guardians' Brayan Rocchio: Sent down to Triple-A
Rocchio was optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Monday.
Josh Bell is expected back from paternity leave Tuesday against the Red Sox, so Rocchio is headed back to the minors. The rookie infielder has had a few stints in the big leagues but hasn't been given much of an opportunity to this point.
