Witt went 3-for-6 with three walks, one RBI, one stolen base and three runs scored across both games of Tuesday's doubleheader versus the White Sox.

Witt did most of his damage with a 3-for-3 performance in the matinee game, as he was held hitless in the nightcap. The shortstop has cooled off just a bit in September, going 11-for-42 (.262) over his first 10 games this month. He's at a .275/.317/.494 slash line with 28 home runs, 42 steals, 87 RBI and 83 runs scored through 142 contests for the year.

Correa is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Rays.

It looks to be a rare day off for the veteran Correa after he went 1-for-8 at the plate in the first two games of the series. Kyle Farmer is at shortstop and batting ninth Wednesday.

The Giants released Camargo on Tuesday.

Camargo will hit the open market after a one-month stint in the Giants organization. The utility player appeared in eight games for the big club last month but has spent nearly all of 2023 at the Triple-A level with three different organizations.

Turner went 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 7-6 loss to Atlanta.

The 30-year-old continued his torrid play Tuesday, swiping his 27th base and launching his 26th homer -- a game-tying solo shot in the ninth inning off Atlanta closer Raisel Iglesias. Turner has been a hit machine lately, recording multi-hit efforts in 12 of his last 15 games, including four straight. In 34 games since Aug. 4, the five-tool shortstop has posted a slash line of .388/.430/.820 with an incredible 16 home runs, 10 doubles, one triple, 41 RBI, 34 runs and six steals across 151 plate appearances. Turner's batting average has risen from a paltry .236 to a respectable .272 during that same time frame.

Swanson went 2-for-3 with a walk, a triple and two runs scored in Tuesday's loss to the Rockies.

Swanson delivered his fourth straight multi-hit effort and also tallied just his third triple of the season. The shortstop is heating up at the right time as the Cubs look to chase down a playoff spot. Swanson is batting .327 this month with nine runs scored in 13 games.

Seager went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 6-3 victory over Toronto.

Seager hit his AL-leading 38th and 39th doubles in Tuesday's contest. The nine-year veteran has played his role in keeping the Rangers afloat in the playoff race by swinging a hot bat since returning from a sprained thumb Aug. 2. Over that span, Seager has hit .324 with 10 doubles, 15 home runs, 31 RBI and 32 runs in 145 at-bats.

Anderson isn't in the White Sox's lineup for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Royals, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.comreports.

After a 2-for-3 performance in Game 1, Anderson will get a breather to close out Tuesday's twin bill. Zach Remillard will replace Anderson at shortstop and bat ninth.

Rojas is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Padres.

Enrique Hernandez will start at shortstop and bat ninth versus the Padres and right-hander Michael Wacha. Rojas has shown more life lately, but he's slashing just .233/.291/.311 across 384 total plate appearances this season with the Dodgers.

Volpe isn't in the Yankees' lineup for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Red Sox.

Volpe finished Game 1 having gone 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout, and he'll now take a seat after mustering just two hits across his last seven games. Oswald Peraza (knee) will draw the start at shortstop while Isiah Kiner-Falefa gets the nod at third base.

Reyes (elbow) was activated from the 10-day injured list and is starting at second base while hitting seventh in Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Yankees.

We already knew Reyes was going to be activated midway through Tuesday's twin bill. He missed a little over two weeks with left elbow inflammation. Prior to the injury, Reyes had been playing pretty regularly, logging a .303/.340/.408 slash line, two home runs and five steals in 51 games.
