Kellon Lindsey SS | LAD
Dodgers' Kellon Lindsey: Sidelined at Single-A
Single-A Rancho Cucamonga placed Lindsey on the 7-day injured list Saturday with an undisclosed injury.
The No. 23 overall pick in last year's draft, Lindsey is a premium athlete who also played quarterback in high school and possesses 70-grade speed. It's not a given that he'll stick at shortstop long term, but Lindsey hasn't played another position yet in 2025. He slashed .280/.394/.390 with two home runs, 10 steals, a 15.5 percent walk rate and a 31.7 percent strikeout rate in 28 games before landing on the shelf.

Brady House 3B | WAS
Nationals' Brady House: Strong start at Triple-A
House went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI for Triple-A Rochester on Saturday.
The 21-year-old third is more than holding his own in his second crack at Triple-A. Through 42 games this season for Rochester, House is slashing .282/.344/.497 with eight homers, and he's more than doubled his walk rate from 3.0 percent in 2024 to 8.3 percent. The Nationals have struggled to find a solution at the hot corner in the majors, and with House needing to be added to the 40-man roster this coming offseason anyway, a big-league debut in the second half isn't off the table.

Nick Allen SS | HOU
Braves' Nick Allen: Swipes sixth bag
Allen went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's win over the Red Sox.
The 26-year-old shortstop swiped his sixth bag of the year, although it's taken him 10 attempts to get there. Allen has taken over the starting job for Atlanta primarily due to his defense -- he ranks in the 100th percentile in fielding range, per Statcast -- but he's providing a smidge of fantasy value in deeper formats with a .260/.324/.293 slash line, 10 RBI and 11 runs over 40 games.

Geraldo Perdomo SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Swipes bag in win
Perdomo went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in Sunday's 1-0 win over Colorado.
Perdomo extended a hit streak to six games with a second-inning single, after which he stole his 11th base over 46 games. That's two more than the shortstop had in 98 games last year, and he's threatening the career-high 16 swipes he posted in 2023 across 144 games. Perdomo is enjoying his most productive season since becoming a full-time starter in 2022.
-
Zachary Neto SS | LAA
Angels' Zach Neto: Smashes leadoff home run
Neto went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Sunday's 6-4 win over the Dodgers.
Neto started the scoring Sunday, launching a home run on the third pitch of the game. It was the shortstop's seventh long ball on the season and his third in his last six appearances. During that stretch, Neto is 8-for-24 (.333) with seven RBI and seven runs scored.
-
C.J. Abrams SS | WAS
Nationals' CJ Abrams: Homers twice in win
Abrams went 3-for-5 with two solo home runs, a double and an additional run scored in Sunday's 10-4 win over the Orioles.
Abrams led off the game with a home run and added another in the second inning. The shortstop has been locked in over his past 10 games, logging five multi-hit performances with eight extra-base hits, four RBI, eight runs scored and a steal. On the season, he's slashing .312/.368/.574 with eight home runs, 18 RBI, 24 runs scored and nine stolen bases across 156 plate appearances.
-
Jacob Wilson SS | ATH
Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Picks up third steal
Wilson went 2-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Giants.
Wilson had a two-homer game Tuesday versus the Dodgers, but he followed that up with an 0-for-14 slump over the next four games. He shook off that dry spell with a multi-hit effort Sunday, and he also picked up his third steal of the season, though the 23-year-old continues to be more a contact hitter than a speedster. He's up to a .337/.369/.478 slash line with five home runs, 26 RBI, 25 runs scored and 10 doubles across 45 contests in 2025.

Xavier Edwards 2B | MIA
Marlins' Xavier Edwards: Placed on IL
Miami moved Edwards to the 10-day injured list Sunday due to a left mid-back strain.
Edwards sat out both Friday and Saturday due to the back issue, and he's now going to need to rest for at least eight more days before potentially returning to action for Miami. In positive news for the Marlins, the team got another starting middle infielder back, Otto Lopez (ankle) was activated from the 10-day IL in a corresponding move. While Edwards is sidelined, Javier Sanoja will likely serve as the team's primary option at shortstop.
-
Josh H. Smith 2B | TEX
Rangers' Josh Smith: Receiving day off vs. lefty
Smith is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.
Smith started the previous four games after missing a couple contests due to a back injury, and he'll take a seat Sunday after going 3-for-16 with an RBI and a run scored during that span. Ezequiel Duran will step in at shortstop against Houston southpaw Framber Valdez.
-
Jeremy Pena SS | HOU
Astros' Jeremy Pena: Receiving first day off
Pena is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Pena has played every inning of all 45 games for the Astros in 2025, so he's getting a well-deserved day off after going 0-for-7 with two walks and a run in the first two games of the series at Texas. Mauricio Dubon will take over at shortstop while Isaac Paredes moves up to the leadoff spot.
