Indians premier shortstop prospect Francisco Lindor will make his starting debut Monday against the host Cubs. He is batting second.

Lindor was 1-for-2 Sunday coming off the bench. He struck out in his first major league at-bat before lining a single to right. He intended to roll into second with a double, but fell down rounding the bag.

Diamondbacks second baseman Chris Owings came up big during his team's 4-0 win over the Giants on Sunday.

Owings doubled to deep center field in the fifth inning, bringing in two crucial runs in the win.

''A lot of guys had good at-bats,'' Owings said. ''It was easy to go out there and compete with [Rubby De La Rosa] pitching his butt off.''

Owings is hitting .238 with two home runs and 17 RBI in 206 at-bats this year.

Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts went 0 for 4 in Sunday's loss to Toronto. 

The hitless day was the first for Bogaerts since June 3, snapping a nine-game hitting streak. 

Diamondbacks outfielder Ender Inciarte returns to the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants after taking a day off on Saturday. 

Inciarte will bat first and play right field. 

Shortstop Nick Ahmed will get the day off after six consecutive starts in a row. 

The Indians announced that they have called up infielder Francisco Lindor to the 25-man roster from Triple-A Columbus. 

This move is in response to designated hitter Nick Swisher heading to the disabled list due to knee inflammation. Lindor was hitting .279 this season with Columbus and has totaled five triples. 

The Mets will also second baseman Ruben Tejada back in the lineup on Sunday against the Braves after missing the past three games due to paternity leave. Tejada has been activated and will start.

Outfielder Michael Cuddyer is not in Sunday's starting lineup, though this appears to be a day off. Filling in for Cuddyer will be Darrell Ceciliani out in left field. 

The Indians have confirmed that shortstop prospect Francisco Lindor will be promoted from Triple-A Columbus for Sunday's series-finale in Detroit. 

Lindor, MLB.com's No. 4 prospect in all of baseball, owns a .279/.346/.398 batting line through 57 games with Columbus this season. 

Meanwhile, Indians shortstops have combined to hit just .204 and one home run this year.  

Diamondbacks infielder Aaron Hill gets a start at second base on Saturday. Hill replaces Chris Owings at second. 

Hill starts at second for the first time in 16 games, dating back to May 26. Hill wlll bat sixth in the lineup. 

The Astros will put a shuffled lineup up against the Mariners on Saturday, the team announced.

Right fielder George Springer will return to the leadoff role after teammate Jose Altuve, who hit leadoff in Friday's game, hurt his hamstring. Rookie shortstop Carlos Correa will bat second, despite not hitting any higher than fifth in the lineup since being called up to the majors.

Jake Marisnik will make his first start in left field, giving Preston Tucker a day off. He will bat sixth in the lineup.

First baseman Chris Carter, who hit a home run out of the ninth spot on Friday, will bat in the cleanup spot on Saturday.

Marwin Gonzalez will fill Altuve's void at second base and bat eighth.

Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts went 2 for 5 in Friday's loss to Toronto. 

Bogaerts hit in his eighth straight game. He hit a double, his ninth of the year, and drove in his 23rd run.
