Chang went 2-for-3 with a triple, walk and two runs Sunday in the Indians' 9-8 loss to the Royals in 10 innings.

Called up from Triple-A Columbus earlier in the day, Chang immediately stepped into the lineup as a replacement for the injured Jose Ramirez (hand) and ensured the Cleveland offense didn't miss a beat. It's worth noting the Indians were facing a left-handed starting pitcher (Eric Skoglund) in the contest, so the righty-hitting Chang won't necessarily see the overwhelming share of action at the hot corner while Ramirez is sidelined for at least multiple weeks. Manager Terry Francona could opt for a platoon at the position, with the lefty-batting Mike Freeman instead seeing the bulk of the starts in such a scenario.

Swanson (foot) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Monday.

Swanson wound up missing over a month with a bruised foot. He was in the middle of a career year prior to the injury, hitting .265/.330/.468 with 17 homers in 100 games. His return will push Adeiny Hechavarria to the bench, with outfielder Adam Duvall optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett to clear a roster spot.

Wendle (wrist) went 1-for-4 in a loss to the Orioles on Sunday, his first game back from the injured list.

Wendle started and played a full game at third base, a position that Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports will be the one he most often fills the rest of the season with Eric Sogard playing well at second base. Topkin adds that Wendle will also cut down on pregame swings and likely play no more than two games in a row the rest of the way in an effort to manage the workload on his right wrist, which still has some soreness.

Crawford batted ninth and went 1-for-4 with a run scored in Sunday's 5-4 win over Oakland.

Crawford stuck in the lineup against a southpaw, but that could have been a result of manager Bruce Bochy's unofficial rule of rewarding players who homer with a start the next day. The 32-year-old needs to pick things up at the plate or run risk of losing playing time not only against southpaws, but also starts against righties in favor of hot-hitting Donovan Solano. Crawford's line sits at .231/.301/.364, making him virtually unusable in most formats this season.

Edman went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI, a run scored and a walk in Sunday's 11-4 win over Colorado.

The rookie utility man collected three multi-hit games during the Cardinals' four-game sweep of the Rockies. Edman owns a .749 OPS with 31 runs scored since being called up in early June.

Diaz (head) is trending toward a return from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's series opener against the Rays, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Diaz was placed on the IL a week ago after experiencing dizziness and lightheadedness following the Astros' Aug. 17 game in Oakland. He was cleared to resume baseball activities only a few days later and kicked off a rehab assignment with Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday, when he went 0-for-4 while playing seven innings at first base. He started at shortstop for Round Rock on Sunday and is expected to play half the game at the position before moving over to third base. If Diaz comes out of the contest symptom-free, the Astros will sign off on his return from the IL when he's first eligible.

Correa (back) completed light running on the field Sunday, Hunter Atkins of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Manager AJ Hinch noted that Correa was "in great spirits" following the session, but the shortstop's workout wasn't overly intense, as he didn't partake in any hitting or throwing. Correa's ability to resume activities was encouraging in any case and adds to the growing optimism that he'll avoid an extended stay on the injured list. General manager Jeff Luhnow has previously hinted that the Astros are hoping to bring Correa back in the second week of September.

Bichette went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Sunday's 3-1 loss to Seattle.

The superstar rookie simply can't be stopped right now. With his two hits Sunday, Bichette finished the three-game series against Seattle going 8-for-14 (.571) with two extra-base hits and four runs scored. The 21-year-old might've been in the AL Rookie of the Year discussion had he debuted earlier in the year and kept up this pace.

Berti went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored Sunday against the Phillies.

Berti got the Marlins on the board in this one with an RBI single to right center. The 29-year-old put together a solid weekend at the dish, going 5-for-13 with a home run and three RBI over the three-game series.

Swanson (foot) could be activated off the 10-day injured list for Monday's game at Colorado, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Swanson began his rehab assignment with Low-A Rome on Thursday and is 4-for-10 with three walks in three games. The 25-year-old has been sidelined since July 23 and would provide a major boost for the Braves as the regular season reaches its final month. Per Bowman, Swanson traveled to Denver on Sunday but isn't guaranteed to be activated immediately. He has a .265/.330/.468 slash line with 17 homers through 100 games.
