Assuming Anderson's assessment of his injury aligns with the opinion of Chicago's team doctors, the shortstop could be in store for a minimum-lengthy stay on the 10-day injured list after he was deactivated Wednesday. He'll still have a few hurdles to clear in the recovery process before the White Sox reinstate him from the IL, including running the bases and playing the field with no visible limitations. As long as Anderson remains on the shelf, the White Sox will likely turn to Leury Garcia and Danny Mendick to fill in at shortstop.

Owings (hamstring) isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against Arizona.

The club initially announced that Owings was lifted for Sam Hilliard in the top of the sixth inning due to right leg soreness, but Black provided more information about the utility man's injury after the contest. Black was careful to note that Owings isn't dealing with a strain, so his early exit is being labeled precautionary. Before departing, Owings went 3-for-3 with a triple, two doubles, two RBI and a run, strengthening his case for continuing to receive steady at-bats moving forward. Owings has started in four of the Rockies' first six games.

Bogaerts has only plated two runs and only has one extra-base hit in six games, but he seems to be turning things around and is now trending in the right direction. He's riding a three-game hitting streak.

Perdomo is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game at Colorado.

Perdomo is 1-for-9 with one run, two walks and two strikeouts through his first three big-league games, and he will take a seat Wednesday. Josh Rojas is starting at shortstop while Eduardo Escobar and Asdrubal Cabrera start at second and third base, respectively.

Edman went 3-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base Wednesday against the Marlins.

Edman recorded his first multi-hit game of the season, though has now reached base in all six of his starts. He also swiped his second base in an as many contests, coming around to score in the same inning on a single from Paul Goldschmidt. Edman has now collected seven hits in 25 at-bats this season, but only one has gone for extra bases.

Turner went 2-for-7 with a two-run home run and a double during Wednesday's doubleheader against the Braves.

The 27-year-old did all his damage during the Game 1 loss and went deep off Max Fried during the first inning to put Washington on the board. Turner is 3-for-11 with two home runs, one double and four RBI through the first three games of the season.
