Chris Owings SS | LAD
Diamondbacks' Chris Owings: Brings hit streak up to 12 games
Owings went 2-for-3 with a double, walk and two runs in Monday's 6-1 win over the Phillies.
The pair of knocks improved Owings' hit streak to a season-best 12 games, but the 25-year-old hasn't seen a dramatic spike in his fantasy production as a result. He's recorded multiple hits in only two of those 12 contests and is batting .292 over that span, which is right on par with his season-long average.

Corey Seager SS | TEX
Dodgers' Corey Seager: Still out of lineup, should avoid disabled list
Seager (hamstring) remains out of the lineup Monday against the Angels but is not expected to go on the disabled list, SBNation.com reports.
Seager is at roughly 80 percent, manager Dave Roberts said. He was able to do agility drills and running on the field, but for now, he will be held to pinch hit duties alone. He is not out of the woods yet, but the Dodgers are working hard to ensure a disabled list is not necessary for their star shortstop.

Allen Cordoba SS | CIN
Padres' Allen Cordoba: Hand injury not deemed serious
X-rays on Cordoba's injured hand came back negative, and he is available off the bench during Sunday's game against the Tigers.
Cordoba departed after being plunked on the hand by a pitch during Saturday's contest. It appears that the injury isn't anything overly serious, but the Padres will play it safe and likely keep him on the bench during Sunday's series finale against the Tigers. The team has an off-day Monday, so Cordoba could make his return to the lineup Tuesday against the Braves.

Corey Seager SS | TEX
Dodgers' Corey Seager: Resting but feeling better Sunday
Seager (hamstring) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.
Though he will again be held out of the starting lineup, manager Dave Roberts announced Seager is "feeling considerably better" and has a chance to make a pinch-hit appearance Sunday. It certainly sounds like the star shortstop won't require a trip to the disabled list. Enrique Hernandez will draw the start in his stead.

Trevor Story SS | BOS
Rockies' Trevor Story: Sits out Sunday
Story is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.
Story continues to scuffle at the plate this season, slashing just .224/.309/.414 on the season. He'll get the day off with Pat Valaika drawing the start at shortstop.

Dee Strange-Gordon SS | WAS
Marlins' Dee Gordon: Heads to bench Sunday
Gordon is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs.
Gordon has started the Marlins' previous 11 games -- raising his average from .279 to .291 during that stretch -- but will head to the bench for a day of rest ahead of the series finale against lefty Mike Montgomery and the Cubs. Derek Dietrich takes over at second base, batting seventh.

Allen Cordoba SS | CIN
Padres' Allen Cordoba: Exits game after HBP
Cordoba left Saturday's game after he was hit in the left wrist by an Anibal Sanchez pitch during his first at-bat.
Cordoba appeared to be in considerable pain as he left the field and was diagnosed with a contusion by trainers, though further evaluations will likely come to light in due time. Chase d'Arnaud took over at shortstop upon the 21-year-old's departure.

Corey Seager SS | TEX
Dodgers' Corey Seager: Diagnosed with Grade 1 hamstring strain
Manager Dave Roberts said an MRI revealed Seager has a Grade 1 hamstring strain and will be day-to-day moving forward, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Fantasy owners can breathe a sigh of relief it's nothing more serious, though the young slugger may be out through the weekend as he recovers. Look for Enrique Hernandez to see the majority of time at shortstop while Seager is on the mend.

Corey Seager SS | TEX
Dodgers' Corey Seager: Out of lineup Saturday
Seager (hamstring) is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rockies.
Seager was lifted from Friday's game with a hamstring injury, and while the preliminary diagnosis was a cramp, the Dodgers did schedule an MRI to determine the full extent of the issue. The results have not yet been disclosed. Enrique Hernandez will fill in at shortstop Saturday.

Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU
Cardinals' Aledmys Diaz: Heads to bench Saturday
Diaz is not in the lineup Saturday against the Pirates, Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com reports.
Diaz is just 1-for-8 with three strikeouts over his last three games, so he'll head to the bench for a breather. Paul DeJong will slide over to start at shortstop for Diaz, allowing Greg Garcia to notch a start at the keystone.
