Corey Seager SS | TEX
Dodgers' Corey Seager: No longer using crutches
Seager (elbow/hip) resumed walking without the assistance of crutches earlier this month, Ken Gurnick of ESPN.com reports.
While on the mend from the Tommy John surgery he required in early May, Seager elected to undergo another procedure in August to repair a torn left hip labrum and shave a misshaped bone. The elbow operation carries the longer recovery timetable of the two, but the shortstop is optimistic that he'll be fully recovered from both surgeries before spring training commences. He's on track to begin a throwing program at some point in early October, which will provide the first real test for the health of his right elbow.

Giants' Brandon Crawford: Comes off bench
Crawford (knee) drew a walk off the bench in Saturday's loss to the Brewers.
Crawford was out of the lineup for the third consecutive day due to a sore knee. The shortstop was completely unavailable over the past two games, but his usage as a pinch hitter opens up the possibility of a return in Sunday's series finale against the Brewers.

Brandon Crawford SS | STL
Giants' Brandon Crawford: Out again Saturday
Crawford is out of the lineup for the third straight game Saturday against the Brewers.
Crawford's absence could be tied to the sore knee which caused him to miss the previous weekend's series against the Mets. Abiatal Avelino will make his major-league debut at shortstop in his absence.

Diamondbacks' Nick Ahmed: Not starting Saturday
Ahmed is not in the lineup Saturday against Atlanta.
Ahmed sits after starting 10 of the last 11 games. Ketel Marte will slide over to shortstop in his absence, with Daniel Descalso starting at second base.

Cubs' Javier Baez: Not in Game 1 lineup
Baez is out of the lineup for Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader versus the Nationals.
Baez will receive a breather following eight straight starts as Addison Russell gets the nod at shortstop for the matinee. Look for Baez to rejoin the starting lineup in Game 2.

Braves' Johan Camargo: Homers, doubles twice
Camargo went 3-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, two runs and two RBI in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Diamondbacks.
Hitting from the second spot in the order for the first time since Aug. 30, Camargo was a bright spot for Atlanta's offense. He now has home runs in back-to-back games to give him 17 on the season, to go along with a .280 batting average and 68 RBI.
