Crawford went 1-for-4 in Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Yankees.

Crawford is slashing a disappointing .207/.277/.228 with just two extra-base hits and two RBI through 27 games. The 32-year-old's .288 BABIP is not far off his career average of .298, so his slow hitting start can't be attributed to bad luck. On a positive note, the shortstop's medium (47 percent) and hard contact (34.8 percent) rates are in line with recent years, but he is failing to put those hard balls in the air (career-worst 2.06 GB/FB). It sounds like Crawford's issues may be mechanical rather than a total drop-off in skill, but fantasy owners may not want to wait around for him to figure things out.

Story went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 9-5 win over Atlanta.

His ninth-inning blast off Dan Winkler didn't affect the outcome -- the Rockies had already come back to take a 6-5 lead in the ninth before Story stepped to the plate -- but it gave them more than enough insurance. The shortstop is now slashing .292/356/.547 through 27 games with seven homers and 19 RBI.

Baez went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double and two runs scored in Saturday's 9-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

Baez continued his torrid pace to begin the season, as he's now batting .333 with a 1.045 OPS and 23 runs scored. The Cubs' lineup can be awfully dynamic, and that should only help Baez produce elite counting stats the rest of the year.

Swanson is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Rockies.

Swanson heads to the bench after starting the last nine games and going 8-for-34 with one home run and three RBI. Johan Camargo will start at shortstop and bat sixth in his absence.

Turner now has a 4-to-8 week timetable to return from his broken finger, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.

Turner had an estimated 4-to-6 week timetable when he suffered the injury, though nothing had come from the team directly. May 1 will be the end of four weeks and, according to GM Mike Rizzo, Turner will be evaluated at that point to determine when he can return. Given the vagueness of Rizzo's estimate, it's possible Turner isn't back in the lineup until late May.

Seager is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Cubs, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

With a lefty (Jon Lester) on the mound for Chicago and the Dodgers and Cubs playing a day game after a night game, manager Dave Roberts decided it was a good time to give the lefty-hitting Seager a break. Unless he makes an appearance off the bench, Seager will put his five-game hitting streak on hold while Chris Taylor checks in as the Dodgers' starting shortstop for the afternoon.

Ahmed went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs in an 11-2 victory against the Pirates on Wednesday.

The veteran shortstop was hitting just .167 in the five games prior to Wednesday, and he didn't have a single extra-base hit during that stretch. A strong start to the year, though, has kept Ahmed's numbers at more than respectable levels. He doesn't walk much and the lack of homers has capped his slugging percentage, but Ahmed is slashing .269/.300/.409 with nine extra-base hits, 11 RBI, 18 runs and two steals this season.

Baez went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 7-6 win over the Dodgers.

Baez hit his second home run in as many nights and eighth through 22 games this season. He set a career high with 34 long balls in 2018, and the dynamic 26-year-old is on pace to easily surpass that figure this year.

Story went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, a walk and three runs in the Rockies' 9-5 win over the Nationals on Wednesday.

It was an active day for the shortstop, who reached base three times and scored three of his team's nine runs. The multi-hit game boosts Story's slash line up to .292/.361/.500 with five homers and 15 RBI over 96 at-bats to go along with six stolen bases in eight attempts.

DeJong went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Tuesday against the Brewers.

DeJong took Alex Wilson deep in the eighth inning to provide the go-ahead run for the Cardinals. It was his fifth home run of the season and brought his extra-base hit total to 17 for the campaign. With an excellent .337/.394/.632 line through 104 plate appearances, DeJong has gotten off to a quick start.
