  • Nick Ahmed SS | TEX

Diamondbacks' Nick Ahmed: Out of Sunday's lineup

Ahmed is not in the lineup Sunday versus Seattle.

Ahmed went 1-for-4 with a double during Saturday's contest and will receive a day off after starting the past nine games. Josh Rojas will take over at shortstop while Andrew Young starts at the keystone.

  • Willy Adames SS | SF

Brewers' Willy Adames: Moves to injured list

Adames was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday with a strained left quadriceps.

Adames aggravated the quadriceps injury during Saturday's game against the Cardinals after starting the contest 3-for-3, and he'll now be sidelined for at least the next 10 days. It's unclear how long the 26-year-old is expected to be sidelined, but the Brewers are figure to be cautious with his return since a potential playoff run is on the horizon, especially since he already missed some time after originally suffering the injury in late August.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Plays hero in Saturday matinee

Lindor went 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and four RBI in an 11-9 win over the Nationals during the first game of Saturday's doubleheader.

The shortstop bailed the Mets out after they squandered a 9-0 lead in the matinee, taking Kyle Finnegan deep for a game-winning two-run shot in the top of the ninth inning. Lindor's long ball was his 12th of the year and first since July 11, although he missed much of the intervening time with an oblique strain, and since returning to action he's slashing just .205/.200/.385 through 11 games.

  • Javier Baez SS | DET

Mets' Javier Baez: Clubs 27th homer

Baez went 2-for-5 with a double, a solo home run and a second run scored during an 11-9 win over the Nationals in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader.

The infielder didn't start the nightcap but went 0-for-1 as a pinch hitter. Baez took Erick Fedde deep in the second inning to help the Mets build a 7-0 lead through three frames, but the New York bullpen squandered that cushion and the matinee wound up going to extra innings. Baez is batting .250 (11-for-44) with three of his 27 homers on the season in 12 games since returning from a back injury.

  • Miguel Rojas SS | LAD

Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Registers another three-hit effort

Rojas went 3-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI in Saturday's 3-2 win over Philadelphia.

Rojas followed his 3-for-3 effort Friday with another three hits Saturday, and he has collected eight hits and five RBI over his past 11 at-bats overall. The scorching stretch has pushed his season slash line to .279/.338/.417.

  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Dodgers' Corey Seager: Connects on eighth homer

Seager went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Saturday's 6-1 triumph over San Francisco.

Seager brought a run home with his first-inning sacrifice fly and later provided an insurance run with a solo blast in the ninth. After hitting four home runs in April, Seager now has another four since Aug. 10 to give him eight on the season. He is slashing an excellent .282/.372/.466 despite the lack of power, part of which can be attributed to injuries limiting him to only 260 at-bats this season.

  • Trea Turner SS | PHI

Dodgers' Trea Turner: Launches 21st homer

Turner went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a strikeout in a 6-1 victory over the Giants on Saturday.

Turner ignited a three-run first inning with a leadoff home run against San Francisco starter Jay Jackson but failed to produce in his other three at-bats. He's now strung together an 11-game hitting streak, though he has a single hit in all but one of those contests and is batting 13-for-43 with two doubles and long balls apiece during the streak.

  • Willy Adames SS | SF

Brewers' Willy Adames: Aggravates quad injury

Adames aggravated his quadriceps injury in Saturday's win over the Cardinals, Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports.

Adames went 3-for-3 to begin Saturday's game, but he was replaced defensively in the top of the seventh inning. Manager Craig Counsell said after the contest that the shortstop will be re-evaluated Sunday to determine the extent of his injury.

  • Giants' Brandon Crawford: Resting Saturday

Crawford will hit the bench Saturday against the Dodgers.

Crawford will rest after starting 18 of the Giants' last 19 games. He'd got cold at the plate recently, grabbing just two hits over a seven-game stretch, but he appeared to be snapping out of the slump with a three-hit performance Friday. Mauricio Dubon will take over at shortstop.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Not starting night game

Lindor will sit for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against Washington, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Lindor looked great in the first game of the day, going 3-for-4 with a homer, four RBI and a pair of runs scored. He won't be asked to play two games in one day, with Jonathan Villar taking over at shortstop.
