DeJong went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Reds.
DeJong helped turn around an early deficit by putting St. Louis on the board with a 431-foot solo shot in the third inning. The long ball was his first in nearly a month, with his previous homer coming Aug. 12 against Pittsburgh. It has been a frustrating campaign overall for DeJong, who has slugged 17 homers but is slashing a meager .199/.291/.389 over 100 games.

Mets' Javier Baez: Homers, swipes bag in loss
Baez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, two additional runs scored, a walk and a stolen base in Saturday's 8-7 loss to the Yankees.
Baez homered off Corey Kluber in the third inning to cut the Mets' deficit to one run. In addition, he stole second base in the second inning. It marks the second time in his last three games that he homered and stole a base. Since joining the Mets, Baez is slashing .299/.359/.589 with eight long balls, 16 RBI, 24 runs and four steals in 115 plate appearances.

Story went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 6-1 loss to Philadelphia.
Story produced Colorado's lone run with his sixth-inning blast off Philadelphia starter Zack Wheeler. It's the third time in five games Story has swatted a long ball, and he's added a triple and a double during a modest five-game hitting streak. The shortstop is slashing .249/.327/.476 with 21 homers, 68 RBI, 77 runs scored and 18 stolen bases in 126 contests.

Giants' Brandon Crawford: Exits with wrist soreness
Crawford left Saturday's win over the Cubs with wrist soreness, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Crawford was replaced defensively in the bottom of the fifth inning Saturday, and manager Gabe Kapler revealed after the game that the shortstop is dealing with a wrist issue. He's considered day-to-day and will be evaluated ahead of Sunday's series finale against the Cubs. Prior to his departure, the 34-year-old went 1-for-1 with two runs and two walks.

Rockies' Trevor Story: Reaches 20-homer mark
Story went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Friday's 11-2 win over Philadelphia.
The shortstop had the first of back-to-back homers with C.J. Cron in the seventh inning. Story has now reached the 20-homer mark in all five full-length seasons he's played, and he had 11 in 59 contests during the abbreviated 2020 campaign. In 2021, he's had some struggles at the plate with a .249 batting average, but he's posted a .799 OPS with 67 RBI, 76 runs scored, 18 stolen bases and 32 doubles through 125 games.

Mets' Javier Baez: Stays hot at plate
Baez went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Friday's 10-3 win over the Yankees.
Baez knocked an RBI single in the first inning and an RBI double in the fourth. It was already his fifth multi-hit game in September after producing three in August. Over his last eight games, the slugging infielder has gone 14-for-29 (.483) with six extra-base hits and seven RBI. Baez now owns an .807 OPS with 80 RBI through 472 plate appearances.

Brewers' Willy Adames: Goes through workout
Adames (quadriceps) went through a leg workout on the field prior to Friday's game against Cleveland, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Adames hit the injured list Sunday with a strained left quadriceps. He hit in the batting cage Wednesday and has now resumed leg exercises, which could indicate that he's in line for a short absence, though he doesn't expect to be 100 percent once he returns.

Reds' Jose Barrero: Back in big leagues
Barrero was recalled by the Reds on Friday.
Barrero takes the spot of Kyle Farmer, who was placed on the paternity list. He'll fill in for Farmer at shortstop for Friday's game against the Cardinals and may start there Saturday and Sunday as well, but it's not clear whether or not he'll have a roster spot once Farmer returns.

Dodgers' Trea Turner: Extends hitting streak to 16
Turner went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Thursday's loss to St. Louis.
Turner notched half of the Dodgers' four hits in the contest and knocked in the team's lone run with a third-inning RBI single. The infielder's effort extended his hitting streak to 16 games, a career-best mark and the longest on the team this season. During the streak, he is batting .308 with two home runs, six doubles, nine runs and a pair of stolen bases.
