Abrams has gone 5-for-15 with three home runs, nine RBI, six runs and two stolen bases in three games since being sent down to Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday.

Abrams made the big club out of spring training but struggled against big-league pitching, slashing .182/.270/.273 over 65 plate appearances. The Padres consequently sent him down for his first stint at the Triple-A level, and the 21-year-old responded by slamming two long balls in his first game and another in his second. It wouldn't be surprising to see Abrams back with San Diego at some point during the campaign.

Swanson went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in Friday's 11-6 loss to the Padres.

His three-run blast off Robert Suarez in the sixth inning briefly gave Atlanta its only lead of the game. Swanson continues to turn things around at the plate, slashing .278/.341/.500 through 11 games in May with two of his three homers on the season, two steals, seven RBI and nine runs.

Edman went 0-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 8-2 loss to the Giants.

Edman got aboard with a walk, stole second and scored on a Paul Goldschmidt groundout in the first inning. Friday's 0-fer ended a modest three-game hitting streak for Edman, but he was able to pick up his first steal since May 7. The speedy second baseman is slashing .277/.372/.420 with eight steals, three home runs, 16 RBI and 21 runs scored through 130 plate appearances.

Ahmed isn't starting Friday against the Cubs.

Ahmed has hit just .091 with three runs, two RBI, two walks and six strikeouts over his last seven games, and he'll take a seat for the third time in the last four matchups. Geraldo Perdomo will start at shortstop and bat ninth.

Turner went 3-for-4 with two runs in Thursday's loss to the Phillies.

The speedy shortstop was one of two Dodgers (along with Will Smith) to collect three hits in the contest. Turner scored in the sixth and eighth innings and got to third base in the ninth but was stranded there. He has seven multi-hit games so far this season, including two three-hit performances. Turner is slashing .276/.338/.379 with a home run, 21 RBI, 15 runs and five stolen bases in his first full season with Los Angeles.

Wendle was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain Friday, retroactive to May 12, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Wendle was removed from Wednesday's win over the Diamondbacks with a right hamstring injury, and he'll be forced to spend time on the IL after being diagnosed with a strain. The 32-year-old had gotten off to a strong start in 2022, slashing .304/.368/.456 with two homers, 12 runs, 10 RBI and four stolen bases over 25 games. It's not yet clear whether he'll need to spend more than the minimum of 10 days on the shelf, but Brian Anderson is starting at third base Friday and should see additional playing time while Wendle is sidelined.

Rojas (illness) is starting Friday against the Brewers, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Rojas exited Wednesday's win over the Diamondbacks due to dehydration, but he'll start at shortstop and bat eighth in Friday's series opener against the Brewers. Over his last five games, he's gone 6-for-19 with a double, a run, a stolen base, a walk and five strikeouts.

Strange-Gordon is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Astros.

The 34-year-old started three straight games and four of the past five, but he'll return to the bench Friday with Alcides Escobar (finger) rejoining the lineup. Strange-Gordon should continue to see sporadic playing time in a utility role.

Camargo went 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in a 9-7 win against the Dodgers on Thursday.

Camargo gave the Phillies a four-run lead with a two-run homer to left field in the second inning, and he produced another run with a sacrifice fly in the fourth. The long ball was the third of the campaign for the veteran and marked just his third hit over his past 12 games. Over the cold stretch, Camargo is slashing .091/.162/.273 with two homers and five RBI.

Castillo isn't starting Thursday against the Reds.

Castillo started in the last seven games and hit .200 with a home run, a double, two runs and an RBI. Rodolfo Castro will start at shortstop while Josh VanMeter takes over at second base.
