  • Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Back in walking boot Thursday

Bogaerts (ankle) was seen wearing a walking boot again Thursday, Bill Koch of the Providence Journal reports.

It was reported Tuesday that Bogaerts no longer required a walking boot, but he was again spotted wearing one Thursday. It's unclear if he's experienced some sort of setback or if he is simply exercising additional caution. As it stands, the shortstop projects to be roughly a week or so away from returning to the field.

  • Indians' Francisco Lindor: Drives in three Thursday

Lindor went 2-for-4 with a double, home run, three RBI and three runs scored in Thursday's win over the Tigers.

Lindor led off the game with a solo shot and followed that up with a two-run double in the second inning. The star shortstop has now tallied four hits in his last two games after collecting just seven hits in his first 44 at-bats this season. It's been a frustratingly slow start for Lindor, but he may finding his groove as we enter the third week of the season.

  • Bo Bichette 3B | NYM

Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Multi-hit streak reaches five games

Bichette is hitting .393 and is 3-for-3 on stolen-base attempts through six games with Double-A New Hampshire.

No matter where he is or who he's facing, all Bichette does is hit. He is currently rocking a five-game streak of two or more hits, but is still looking for his first home run of the season. The early speed is exciting, but he only projects as a 10-to-20 steal threat initially in the big leagues.

  • Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Ankle already improving

Bogaerts (ankle) is out of his walking boot and experiencing less pain Tuesday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Bogaerts is expected to be out 10-to-14 days with a small crack in his ankle. The crack was too small to be picked up by an X-ray but was noticed on an MRI. Brock Holt is the primary candidate to pick up starts at shortstop while Bogaerts remains out.

  • Carlos Correa SS | HOU

Astros' Carlos Correa: Ends slide in cold Minnesota

Correa went 2-for-4 with a double and scored both runs in Monday's 2-0 win over the Twins.

It wasn't a good night for the hitters as the temperature dipped to 35 degrees by the first pitch, but Correa managed to break an 0-for-12 slide with a sixth-inning double. He's scored a team-high nine runs, which puts him in a tie for ninth in MLB. Those are the perks of hitting in the middle of a stacked lineup. The Astros will have another night game Tuesday before an afternoon game (presumably with warmer weather) on getaway day Wednesday.

  • Joey Wendle 2B | ATL

Rays' Joey Wendle: Mashes home run in Monday's victory

Wendle went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Monday's 5-4 victory against the White Sox.

Wendle continued his excellent display of hitting Monday, as he hit his first home run of the season and extended his streak of games with at least one hit to four. After appearing in nine games this season, Wendle has posted a .348 batting average and has scored a run in three consecutive contests.

  • Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Out 10-14 days with cracked bone

Bogaerts was officially placed on the 10-day disabled list after being diagnosed with a small crack in the talus bone of his left ankle, Ryan Hannable of WEEI.com reports.

The evaluation Monday actually revealed a small fracture, though the team only expects their young shortstop to miss 10-to-14 days. Brock Holt seems like a good bet to take on a bigger role in his stead.

  • Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Expects to land on DL

Bogaerts (ankle) will likely be placed on the disabled list Monday, Evan Drellich of NBC Sports Boston reports.

Bogaerts was removed from Sunday's contest after sliding awkwardly into a protective railing by the dugout, and it seems like Monday's evaluation didn't go as well as the Red Sox would've hoped. No official word has come out as to how severe the issue is or how long he expects to be out, but that should come forth sometime before Tuesday's matchup with the Yankees. Brock Holt could see additional playing time in his stead.

  • Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: DL decision looming

Bogaerts was sent for tests on his injured left ankle Monday, Evan Drellich of NBC Sports Boston reports.

Bogaerts suffered the ankle injury during Sunday's game against the Rays after sliding into the protective netting near the Tampa Bay dugout. While it's encouraging that the shortstop wasn't immediately sent to the disabled list, he's set to undergo treatment Monday to determine whether a stint on the shelf is ultimately necessary. If Bogaerts is ultimately forced onto the DL, Brock Holt would likely step into the starting lineup in his place (whether it be at short stop or second base). More should be known once the results from Monday's examinations are disclosed.

  • Tim Anderson 2B | LAA

White Sox's Tim Anderson: Swipes fifth bag Sunday

Anderson went 1-for-3 and stole a base in Sunday's 1-0 loss to the Tigers.

Anderson has successfully pilfered all five bases he's attempted to steal through the first 10 games. By comparison, he didn't register his fifth steal in 2017 until June 8, his 51st game. In addition to his increased larceny, Anderson has been a bit more patient at the plate to start the season. He's walked four times in 33 plate appearances (12.1 percent), compared to 13 free passes in all of 2017.
