White Sox's Tim Anderson: Still battling wrist issue
Anderson (wrist) remains out of the lineup for the third straight game Monday against the Royals, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Anderson was listed as a starter initially in each of the previous two games before eventually being scratched, but he's on the bench from the beginning on this occasion. Jose Rondon remains the shortstop in his absence. Per Scott Merkin of MLB.com, Anderson's wrist continues to improve, but he's not counting on returning Tuesday.

Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Astros' Carlos Correa: Gets holiday off
Correa will sit Monday against the Cubs, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Correa played every game in April and sits for just the second time in May. He's bounced back from a poor 2018 campaign to hit .295/.360/.547 through 50 games. Alex Bregman slides over to shortstop in his absence.

Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU
Astros' Aledmys Diaz: Lands on injured list
Diaz (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Diaz left Sunday's game against the Red Sox with left hamstring discomfort and will now sit for at least 10 days. Jack Mayfield will replace him on the roster and will temporarily be the starting second baseman, though Jose Altuve is just days away from returning from a hamstring injury of his own.

David Fletcher 2B | ATL
Angels' David Fletcher: Collects three hits, stolen base
Fletcher contributed to a victory over Texas on Sunday by going 3-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored.
Fletcher's trio of singles extended his hitting streak to five games and raised his average to a healthy .310 on the season. It was his fourth three-hit game of 2019 and second in the last five games. After opening the season in a reserve role, he continues to thrive as an everyday starter.

Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Astros' Carlos Correa: Plates team's lone run
Correa went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a walk in Sunday's loss to Boston.
Correa kicked off the scoring in this one with an RBI single to left field, though it was the Red Sox who would emerge victorious. He's slashing .295/.360/.547 with 11 homers and 35 RBI over 50 games in 2019.

Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU
Astros' Aledmys Diaz: Expected to land on injured list
Diaz will likely require a stint on the 10-day injured list after departing Sunday's game against Boston with left hamstring discomfort, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.
Diaz dealt with a hamstring issue nearly a week ago and it caused him to miss three games, so the Astros are expected to place him on the 10-day injured list in an effort to ensure the injury doesn't linger further into the season. Assuming Diaz does get sent to the shelf, look for Yuli Gurriel and Tony Kemp to benefit in terms of playing time at second base, at least until Jose Altuve recovers from his own hamstring strain.

Dee Strange-Gordon SS | WAS
Mariners' Dee Gordon: Still waiting on second opinion
Gordon underwent a second opinion on his bruised right wrist Saturday, but the Mariners have yet to provide an update on his condition, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
The team should provide additional word on Gordon's condition Monday, when Seattle kicks off its homestand with a series against the Rangers. Should Gordon's injury prove more significant than originally thought, Shed Long could be in store for an extended run as the Mariners' everyday second baseman.

Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU
Astros' Aledmys Diaz: Diagnosed with hamstring discomfort
Diaz was diagnosed with left hamstring discomfort after exiting Sunday's game against the Red Sox in the bottom of the first inning, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Diaz aggravated the injury he suffered about a week ago, which resulted in him missing three games. The Astros will likely take a similarly cautious approach with Diaz this time around, potentially opening the door for Yuli Gurriel or Tony Kemp to see more time at the keystone. Once he's healthy again, Diaz could be headed back into a full-time utility role with everyday second baseman Jose Altuve (hamstring) trending toward a mid-week return from the 10-day injured list.

Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU
Astros' Aledmys Diaz: Departs with injury
Diaz exited Sunday's game against the Red Sox after the first inning due to an apparent hamstring injury, Hunter Atkins of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Diaz singled in his lone at-bat and came around to score the Astros' first run, but looked to have tweaked his hamstring while crossing home plate. Tyler White entered the game in Diaz's stead, stepping in at first base while Yuli Gurriel shifted over to the keystone. The Astros should provide an update on Diaz's condition later in the day.

Tim Anderson 2B | LAA
White Sox's Tim Anderson: Scratched for second straight day
The White Sox scratched Anderson (wrist) from the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
The White Sox included Anderson in their initial lineup before scratching him for the second straight day with his sore right wrist apparently still proving bothersome. Jose Rondon will again step in at shortstop in his stead, but the White Sox haven't indicated that the wrist issue is anything that will put Anderson at risk of landing on the 10-day injured list. The team's tune could change, however, if Anderson continues to miss action during the White Sox's three-game series with the Royals that begins Monday.
