Diaz started at third base and went 1-for-2 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 3-0 win over Seattle.

Diaz was a late addition to the lineup after the Astros scratched shortstop Carlos Correa with what was described as lower-back tightness. Alex Bregman moved to short while Diaz took Bregman's usual spot at third base. Houston manager AJ Hinch downplayed Correa's injury, but it's likely Diaz will be a regular in the starting lineup over the final week of the season.

Fletcher went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in a win over Oakland on Tuesday.

Fletcher's trio of singles accounted for his third three-hit performance in his last six games. The Angels' leadoff man is finishing his second season in emphatic fashion, batting .341 (28-for-82) while scoring 12 runs over 20 games in September.

Correa was scratched from Tuesday's lineup against the Mariners with a sore back, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.

Correa apparently came to manager AJ Hinch and let him know that his back was a little tight, while Hinch said Correa probably could have played (he took normal batting practice) if the Astros needed to win this game. Aledmys Diaz will enter the lineup at third base and Alex Bregman will slide over to shortstop.

Adames went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in a win over the Red Sox on Monday.

Adames launched the second of two fourth-inning homers for the Rays, with the shortstop's round tripper, which came with Kevin Kiermaier aboard, snapping a 4-4 tie. Adames is carrying a five-game hitting streak and has come alive at the plate in the second half overall, slashing .278/.340/.477 across 239 plate appearances since the All-Star break.

Bichette has yet to pass through concussion protocol and may be done for the year, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.

Bichette was lifted from Thursday's matchup with Baltimore after a pitch skimmed the brim of his helmet, and the rookie has yet to pass through concussion protocol. Manager Charlie Montoyo stated that Bichette is still aiming to return for the final few games of the season, though the skipper also acknowledged that the 21-year-old might be done for the year with only six contests remaining.

Bogaerts is not in the lineup Monday against the Rays, Steve Hewitt of the Boston Herald reports.

Bogaerts will head to the bench for what appears to be a routine day off following a string of 10 consecutive starts. Through 18 games this month, the shortstop is slashing .274/.338/.411 with two home runs and four doubles. Chris Owings is starting at shortstop in place of Bogaerts in this one.

Wendle went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks and two runs in a loss to the Red Sox on Sunday.

Wendle's 354-foot shot to left in the third marked his first time leaving the yard at Tropicana Field since Aug. 5, 2018, making it 59 games and 189 at-bats between round trippers on his home turf. The utility man's bat has heated up at the right time of the season after an extended slump, as he's now hitting .297 with four extra-base hits (two doubles, one triple, one home run) and six RBI in September to boost his season average 25 points to .234.

Diaz went 3-for-4 with a homer, three RBI and three runs scored in Sunday's 13-5 win over the Angels.

Diaz's three-run homer in the sixth inning was his eighth of the season and first since Aug. 2. The 29-year-old infielder owns a .794 OPS as a strong depth option for Houston.

Mondesi has been ruled out for the season and will visit a team physician Monday as the Royals look to determine the severity of his shoulder injury and identify a treatment plan, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.

Mondesi exited Sunday's game against the Twins in the first inning after his left shoulder popped out of its socket while he made a diving stop in the field. He dislocated the same shoulder back in July and will need to take some time off to heal, though it's not yet known if offseason surgery will be in the works. Despite being limited to just 102 games due to health issues, Mondesi wraps up a banner campaign with nine home runs, 62 RBI, 58 runs and 43 stolen bases to go with a .263/.291/.424 slash line.

Chang is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

Chang went 1-for-10 with a double while starting at third base in each of the Tribe's last three games, with Cleveland opposing left-handed pitching in each of those contests. He'll bow out of the lineup in favor of platoon mate Ryan Flaherty in the series finale, but both players should be headed for permanent bench roles during the upcoming week with top third baseman Jose Ramirez (hand) on track to return from the injured list ahead of Tuesday's series opener versus the White Sox.
