Adalberto Mondesi SS | BOS
Royals' Adalberto Mondesi: Nearing rehab assignment
Royals general manager Dayton Moore said Monday that Mondesi (oblique) could begin a rehab assignment next week, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
Mondesi has been progressing well in his recovery, and he recently began taking batting practice at the Royals' alternate training site. The 25-year-old will now join the team to participate in pregame activities such as work in the infield and batting practice, and he could see game action in the minors on a rehab assignment in the near future.

Xander Bogaerts SS | SD
Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Records three more hits
Bogaerts went 3-for-4 with a home run and an additional run scored in Sunday's loss against the Rangers.
Bogaerts went deep for the fifth time this season and delivered another multi-hit performance -- he has done that nine times already in 2021. The star shortstop has been one of Boston's most reliable weapons on offense this season and is hitting an impressive .349 with a .969 OPS across 112 plate appearances.

J.P. Crawford SS | SEA
Mariners' J.P. Crawford: Stays hot in Saturday's loss
Crawford went 2-for-3 with an RBI double, a walk and a run in a loss to the Angels on Saturday.
Crawford continues to shrug off his typical slotting at the lowest rungs of the lineup to generate solid production, with Saturday's multi-hit effort pushing his season average and on-base percentage to a solid .264 and .330, respectively. Crawford has also managed a respectable eight RBI despite his unfavorable spot in the order by slashing .318/.348/.500 over 23 plate appearances with men in scoring position.

Yu Chang SS | TB
Indians' Yu Chang: Back on bench
Chang is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.
Chang had started at first base in each of Cleveland's last three games, but two of those starts came against left-handed pitchers. He'll take a seat Sunday with a righty (Lucas Giolito) on the hill for Chicago, allowing Jake Bauers to pick up a turn at first base. Chang looks like he'll remain in a short-side platoon role for the foreseeable future.

Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU
Astros' Aledmys Diaz: Adding RF to resume
Houston manager Dusty Baker plans to work Diaz into right field, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Diaz was mostly a shortstop and third baseman prior to joining the Astros, who have expanded his positional competency. He's filled in at first base, second base and left field during his time in Houston. The addition of right field to his portfolio would give Baker an option to the struggling Kyle Tucker, whose 0-for-4 effort on Saturday dropped his season average to .173.

Yu Chang SS | TB
Indians' Yu Chang: Two-RBI day
Chang went 1-for-3 with two RBI in Cleveland's 7-3 loss to Chicago on Saturday.
The fourth-inning single came with the bases loaded and snapped a five-game hitless stretch for Chang. He's seeing semi-regular playing time, but until he can string together quality at-bats, it's difficult to see Chang as a viable option.

Tim Anderson 2B | LAA
White Sox's Tim Anderson: Early grand slam
Anderson went 1-for-4 with a grand slam and a strikeout as Chicago beat Cleveland 7-3 on Saturday.
Anderson took Cleveland starter Triston McKenzie deep on 1-2 fastball with the bases juiced to give Chicago all the run support it would need on the day. The blast nearly doubled Anderson's RBI total on the season to nine.

J.P. Crawford SS | SEA
Mariners' J.P. Crawford: Multi-hit effort in win
Crawford went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a run in a win over the Angels on Friday.
Crawford found a way to make an impact out of the No. 8 spot in the order, extending his on-base streak to nine games. The 26-year-old has yet to leave the yard this season through 96 plate appearances, but he does have four doubles and sports a favorable 8.3 percent walk rate and 17.7 percent strikeout rate.
