Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU
Astros' Aledmys Diaz: Launches first home run
Diaz went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Tuesday's victory over the Angels.
Diaz followed Kyle Tucker's lead, going back-to-back with a long ball against Dylan Bundy in the second inning to even up the score. It was the first homer of the season for the 30-year-old, who has been filling in for Michael Brantley (wrist) since he was hit by a pitch Saturday.

J.P. Crawford SS | SEA
Mariners' J.P. Crawford: Struggling to start season
Crawford, who went 1-for-4 in a loss to the Giants on Monday, is hitting .154 (2-for-13) over his first four games.
The 26-year-old also has a walk and a run, but overall, his start to the 2021 campaign largely mirrors his forgettable Cactus League slate. Crawford hit just .128 (5-for-39) with no extra-base hits and three RBI across 52 plate appearances this spring, and although there'd been talk of the shortstop still seeing some leadoff duty this season, he's operated out of the No. 9 hole in his first three games while Mitch Haniger has thrived at the top of the order.

Willy Adames SS | SF
Rays' Willy Adames: Scuffling to open season
Adames went 1-for-3 with a double and a walk in a loss to the Red Sox on Monday, but he's hitting just .182 (2-for-11) over his first three games.
The 25-year-old only had an Opening Day single to his name prior to Monday's two-bagger. Adames' slow start, albeit over what is still a very modest sample, is a disappointment after he was the Rays' most consistent offensive player throughout spring training, posting a .390/.457/.805 slash across 46 Grapefruit League plate appearances.

Xander Bogaerts SS | SD
Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Four hits in Monday's rout
Bogaerts went 4-for-5 with a double, a run scored and an RBI in Monday's 11-2 win over the Rays.
The shortstop led the charge for the Red Sox and was one of six Boston players with multiple hits on the evening. Bogaerts had only one hit in 12 at-bats coming into Monday, but the 28-year-old dismissed any thoughts of an early season slump in one fell swoop.

Tim Anderson 2B | LAA
White Sox's Tim Anderson: Awaiting MRI results
Anderson (hamstring) is awaiting the results of an MRI on Monday, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.
Anderson left Sunday's game against the Angels with a tight left hamstring. Initial reports indicated that he wasn't expected to miss time, but manager Tony La Russa now says the team will be happy to have him back by Thursday. Scott Merkin of MLB.com notes that Anderson was feeling better Monday and was able to do some running, but the team has yet to receive the shortstop's test results.

White Sox's Tim Anderson: Not starting Monday
Anderson (hamstring) isn't starting Monday's game against the Mariners.
Anderson is considered day-to-day after he left Sunday's loss to the Angels with left hamstring tightness. Leury Garcia will take over as the starting shortstop for Monday's series opener against Seattle, batting seventh.

White Sox's Tim Anderson: Considered day-to-day
The White Sox are listing Anderson as day-to-day after he departed Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Angels with left hamstring tightness.
Anderson went hitless in his lone at-bat before being pulled with the injury in the bottom of the first inning in favor of Leury Garcia. Per Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times, manager Tony La Russa said after the game that he doesn't believe that Anderson's hamstring pull is serious, but even if he avoids a trip to the injured list, the shortstop would seem unlikely to be available for Monday's series opener versus the Mariners.

Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Astros' Carlos Correa: Dropped to sixth in order
Correa batted sixth and went 1-for-4 in Sunday's 9-2 win over the Athletics.
Correa opened the season as the fifth-place hitter but was dropped to sixth Sunday. That seems to run counter to expectations, as Houston was without two-hole hitter Michael Brantley (wrist). Instead, both Yordan Alvarez and Yuli Gurriel jumped above Correa.

White Sox's Tim Anderson: Unlikely to miss much time
Anderson left Sunday's game against the Angels with a tight hamstring but isn't expected to miss much time, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Anderson exited after hurting himself while trying to beat out a grounder, but he seems to have avoided a serious injury. Leury Garcia replaced him at shortstop and could start there for a game or two, but Anderson isn't expected to require a trip to the injured list.
