Kremer (2-5) took the loss Friday against the White Sox after allowing six runs (five earned) on seven hits and three walks while striking out three over four-plus innings.

Kremer fell into immediate trouble, allowing four runs in the first inning, including a three-run homer to Colson Montgomery. While the Twins' offense fought back and evened things up by the end of the second frame, Kremer surrendered the lead again in the third and allowed another run in the fourth before ultimately exiting after facing one batter in the fifth. Kremer has been inconsistent, allowing at least four earned runs in two of his last three outings and in four of his last seven. He owns a 6.42 ERA in 40.2 innings and eight appearances since the All-Star break.

Castillo allowed four runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out a batter over four innings Friday against the Twins. He didn't factor into the decision.

Castillo gave up multiple homers for a third consecutive start, and he's also failed to complete five innings in any of those outings. He's made five starts since joining the White Sox at the trade deadline, and the numbers have been less than impressive -- he owns a 6.45 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 2.8 HR/9 across 22.1 innings over that stretch. He's tentatively scheduled to make his next start on the road against the Astros.

Quintana (elbow) will throw two simulated innings at the Rockies' complex in Arizona on Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Quintana threw a 45-pitch bullpen session in mid-August and has been ramping up his activity. While he seems to be making clear progress, it's unclear whether he'll be able to return to the mound before the season ends.

Bradford (0-3) took the loss Friday against the Brewers after allowing three runs on nine hits over 5.2 innings, walking two without a strikeout.

Bradford hasn't exactly been a strikeout machine -- he's yet to record more than five punchouts in any of his five outings this season -- but this is his first goose egg in the category. With a 13:6 K:BB and 1.52 WHIP in 26.1 innings across his five starts, it's hard to trust Bradford in most fantasy formats, as he's giving up a lot of traffic on the basepaths and isn't recording enough strikeouts to compensate for that. His next start is projected come at home against the Athletics.

Henderson (9-2) earned the win Friday against the Rangers after allowing one run on one hit with no walks while striking out seven over seven innings.

Henderson has been trending in the right direction of late and has now given up exactly one earned run in each of his last three starts, posting a 1.35 ERA, 0.60 WHIP and 17:3 K:BB over his last 20 innings. Further, he hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in any of his 14 outings this year and owns a 2.06 ERA in eight starts since the All-Star break. His next start should come next week on the road against the Cubs.

Gallen (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Reno on Sunday, MLB.com reports.

Gallen threw three innings and 45 pitches in a bridge game last Tuesday and could push that pitch count to 60 for the Aces. The Diamondbacks are targeting the right-hander's return for sometime during their upcoming series against Kansas City, which runs from Sept. 7-9.

Burnes (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Reno on Saturday, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

Burnes is expected to throw two innings and 35 pitches for the Aces. If all goes well, manager Torey Lovullo will make a decision as to whether the right-hander should rejoin the Diamondbacks for his season debut. Given where he is with his workload, Burnes would likely only be able to give Arizona three innings (45 pitches) at that point, but with an extra roster spot in September, the team would have bullpen coverage.

Drake allowed five runs on four hits, a walk and a hit batsman while striking out four over four innings in a no-decision versus the Giants on Friday.

Drake's first start in the majors since Aug. 6 led to him giving up a season-high five runs. He struggled in two outings for Triple-A during August as well, giving up a total of 10 runs (nine earned) over five innings. Drake is at a 6.53 ERA and 17:7 K:BB through 20.2 innings across his first five starts in the majors. The Diamondbacks have a bit of a patchwork rotation at the moment, which could afford him one more start -- tentatively lined up to be at Houston -- before Michael Soroka (shoulder) and Zac Gallen (elbow) would be ready to return from their respective stints on the injured list.

Lopez allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits, three walks and a hit batsman while striking out six over five innings in a no-decision Friday versus the Orioles.

Lopez continues to be effective at limiting damage, though he was a little inefficient in needing 100 pitches (63 strikes) to cover five frames Friday. Since rejoining the rotation July 19, he's made eight starts and allowed just 13 runs (11 earned) over 43.2 innings. The strong second half has trimmed his ERA down to 4.82 with a 1.46 WHIP and 96:50 K:BB over 99 innings across 22 games (19 starts) this year. Lopez's next start is projected to be on the road versus the Rangers.

Young allowed one run on five hits and a walk while striking out four over seven innings in a no-decision versus the Athletics on Friday.

Young limited the damage to a solo home run by Jonah Heim in the seventh inning. Considering the hitter-friendly venue, this was particularly impressive work for Young, who had seen his performance falter a bit in August. He ends the month with 12 runs allowed (11 earned) over 27 innings across five starts. For the season, Young is at a 3.38 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 103:46 K:BB across 130.1 innings through 23 starts. He'll face another hostile environment in his next start, which is projected to come in Colorado next week.
