Arrighetti will undergo an MRI on his injured right foot after exiting Thursday's rehab start, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Arrighetti experienced symptoms similar to the nerve issues he's previously dealt with, according to Zwelling. He's meeting the Blue Jays in Philadelphia and will undergo further testing. "Hopefully just a little pause, not a restart or reset," manager John Schneider said Friday. Arrighetti was acquired from the Astros in exchange for Daulton Varsho at the trade deadline earlier this week.

The Twins placed Ryan on the 15-day injured list Friday with a left glute strain.

Imaging revealed the injury Thursday, and it's unclear at this point if Ryan will need to miss more than the minimum 15 days. With Ryan off to the injured list, Zebby Matthews has been summoned back from Triple-A St. Paul and will start Friday's game against the Brewers. Ryan owns a 3.65 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 138:27 K:BB across 125.2 innings spanning 23 starts this season.

The Guardians placed Cecconi on the 15-day injured list Friday with right arm fatigue, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Cleveland recalled Franco Aleman from Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move. After working exclusively as a starter the first four months of the season, Cecconi was bumped to the bullpen this week following the team's acquisition of Foster Griffin. The transition hasn't gone well for Cecconi, who failed to record an out in Thursday's 13-6 loss to the Mets, while surrendering four runs on three hits and two walks with a wild pitch.

The Rangers activated Montgomery (elbow) from the 60-day injured list Friday.

Montgomery hasn't pitched in the big leagues in nearly 23 months after undergoing UCL surgery in March of 2025. The left-hander worked as a starter on his rehab assignment, but it's unclear what the Rangers' plans are with Montgomery. He could work in long relief, at least initially. Across eight rehab starts, Montgomery logged a 3.75 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 21:3 K:BB spanning 24 innings.

Reds president of baseball operations Nick Krall said Friday that Greene has been diagnosed with a partial UCL tear in his right elbow and will undergo surgery next week, Brian Giesenschlag of Reds Live reports.

The exact nature of the procedure will not be known until the operation is performed. Greene previously had Tommy John surgery in 2019 and underwent surgery in March to have bone chips removed from his elbow. Even if Greene doesn't require another full Tommy John repair, he will be in danger of missing a large portion of the 2027 season. The 27-year-old made only five starts this year after being limited to 19 starts in 2025.

The White Sox recalled Sandlin from Triple-A Charlotte on Friday.

Sandlin will replace Chris Murphy (forearm) on the 26-man roster, as Murphy was placed on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. Sandlin has worked almost exclusively as a starter this season but figures to slide into a long-relief role with Chicago.

The Angels recalled Klassen from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.

Klassen is making the start Friday against the Marlins. He opened the season in the Halos' rotation but was hammered for seven runs (six earned) on seven hits and 10 walks with six strikeouts across 4.2 innings spanning two starts before he was dispatched to Salt Lake. The 24-year-old right-hander pitched to a 3.96 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 88:46 K:BB across 19 starts at Triple-A.

Povich is slated to start Sunday's game against the Rangers at Globe Life Field.

Povich was called up from Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday to make his first big-league start since May 7, and he delivered one of the finest performances of his career. The 26-year-old southpaw struck out seven batters and allowed seven hits and one walk over six scoreless frames in a 3-1 victory over the Angels. He'll be rewarded with another start to close out the week, but Povich may need another strong showing to boost his chances of sticking around in the rotation. Chris Bassitt (back) is slated to make his second rehab start this weekend and could replace Povich in the rotation the next time the Orioles require a fifth starter.

Alvarez is slated to start Saturday's game against the Reds at Nationals Park.

After being called up from Triple-A Rochester on Monday, Alvarez will wind up getting a two-start week. The 27-year-old southpaw delivered a quality start Monday against the Phillies with two earned runs allowed over 6.1 innings, and he's compiled a 3.94 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 63:31 K:BB over 64 innings through his first 16 appearances (eight starts) with Washington. Alvarez should have a good chance at sticking around in the rotation spot for the rest of the season after the Nationals designated right-hander Zack Littell for assignment earlier in the week.

Stock is listed as the Mets' probable starting pitcher for Saturday's game in Pittsburgh.

The 36-year-old righty will be awarded another turn through the rotation after a solid showing last Sunday, when he held the Marlins to one run on three hits and no walks while striking out four over five innings in his first big-league start since 2021. The Mets thinned their starting depth by dealing away Clay Holmes (fibula) and Freddy Peralta at the trade deadline, and with prospects Jonah Tong and Jack Wenninger struggling of late at Triple-A Syracuse, Stock doesn't appear to be facing any imminent threats for his spot in the rotation.
