Springs allowed two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out two over five-plus innings in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks on Monday.

Springs last held an opponent to two runs or less in his May 17 start versus the Giants. He cruised for five frames but was tagged for a game-tying two-run home run by Ketel Marte in the sixth. Springs has a 5.96 ERA with a 1.42 WHIP and 86:38 K:BB through 102.2 innings over 20 starts this season. The veteran southpaw is lined up to make his next start in Minnesota.

Flaherty did not factor into the decision of Monday's extra-inning win, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks over four innings against the Cubs. He struck out four.

The right-hander was hurt by the long ball, surrendering back-to-back homers to Seiya Suzuki and Michael Busch in the third inning. Flaherty was pulled before facing the top of the Cubs' lineup for a third time, departing after throwing 82 pitches (47 strikes). Leahy allowed one run on three hits and struck out four without walking a batter over six innings in a no-decision versus the Angels on Monday.

Leahy limited the damage to a Jo Adell solo home run in the third inning, but the Cardinals' bullpen let him down. Leahy has allowed just two runs with a 20:7 K:BB across 25.1 innings over his last five starts. For the season, he has produced a 3.59 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 79:33 K:BB across 95.1 innings through 19 starts, which already puts him above the 88 innings he threw as a full-time reliever in 2025. That could put him at risk of some workload management as the campaign continues, but he's showing little reason for concern at this time. Leahy's next start is projected to be at home versus the Reds.

Wacha allowed one run on three hits and two walks while striking out five batters over six innings in a no-decision versus San Francisco on Monday.

Wacha ended the first half of the campaign on a sour note, giving up 10 runs over 10.2 frames in losses to the Phillies and Mets. The veteran hurler seemed to benefit from the All-Star break, as he looked much better in twirling a quality start Monday. The only run Wacha allowed came on a Heliot Ramos fourth-inning homer, and the right-handed pitcher was in line for the win upon his exit, though he had to settle for a no-decision when closer Alex Lange blew the lead in the ninth. Despite that disappointment, Wacha appeared to get back on track, and he'll look to get back into the win column in his next start, which lines up to be a road matchup in Detroit.

Soriano allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out seven over seven innings in a no-decision versus the Cardinals on Monday.

Soriano didn't have a strikeout in his last start, but he bounced back well in his longest outing since May 10 versus the Blue Jays. The Cardinals got to him for two runs in the second inning, but Soriano was able to get back on track, ending with 64 of his 95 pitches going for strikes. The right-hander now has a 3.43 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 122:54 K:BB through 118 innings over 21 starts this season. His next start is projected to be at San Francisco.

Abbott (5-6) allowed one unearned run on four hits and two walks while striking out six over six innings to take the loss versus the Mariners on Monday.

Abbott was almost as sharp as opposing starter George Kirby for the first six innings, but the Reds' bullpen buckled as soon as the southpaw exited. This was Abbott's second quality start in four outings in July, and he's allowed a total of 10 runs (nine earned) over 21 innings this month. He's at a 3.89 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 90:50 K:BB through 111 innings on the season. He's projected to make his next start at St. Louis.

Kirby (8-8) allowed three hits and a walk while striking out six over six shutout innings to earn the win over the Reds on Monday.

Kirby kept his hot stretch going, racking up his sixth straight quality start with one of his best outings of the campaign. During that six-start span, he's given up just 12 runs (11 earned) over 38 innings. He now has a 3.57 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 104:25 K:BB through 116 innings over 19 starts this season. Kirby is lined up to make his next start on the road versus the Rangers.

Freeland (2-9) took the loss Monday, allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings against the Nationals. He struck out four.

Freeland was tagged early, surrendering a three-run homer to Andres Chaparro before recording an out in the first inning. The southpaw was able to grind through six innings, though he couldn't avoid being charged with his ninth loss of the season. Freeland has allowed multiple runs in each of his past 15 starts dating back to April. The veteran hurler will take a 7.28 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 83:20 K:BB across 94 innings (18 starts) into his next outing, tentatively scheduled for Sunday against the Brewers.

Alvarez did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing three runs on six hits and three walks over 4.1 innings against Colorado. He struck out two.

The southpaw ran into trouble in the third inning, loading the bases before Willi Castro cleared them with a double. Alvarez has been a steady part of Washington's rotation since the end of May, operating as both a starter and bulk reliever, but he has completed five-plus innings just once. Across 14 appearances spanning 53.1 innings, the 27-year-old owns a 2-3 record with a 4.22 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 55:25 K:BB this season. He's tentatively lined up to pitch Sunday against Arizona.

Junk (4-6) took the loss Monday, allowing six runs on five hits and three walks over four innings against Houston. He struck out three.

Junk was tagged in the second inning, surrendering all six of his runs in the frame, including a grand slam to Jeremy Pena. Monday marked Junk's second start since returning from a right shin injury, with his previous outing July 9 against Seattle going considerably better while he allowed one earned run across five innings to earn the win. The right-hander will take a 5.09 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 51:20 K:BB across 69 innings (13 starts) into his next outing, tentatively scheduled for Sunday against San Diego.
