The Orioles optioned Povich to Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.

The move comes one day after Povich held the Rockies to one run over five innings in a spot start Monday at Coors Field. Povich will rejoin the Norfolk rotation but could get another look in the majors later this month, depending on where the Orioles are in the playoff hunt.

The Blue Jays acquired Rodriguez from the Dodgers on Tuesday in exchange for Sebastian Rodriguez.

Jose Rodriguez, 25, has logged a 3.38 ERA and 36:18 K:BB across 29.1 innings this season with Triple-A Oklahoma City. The right-hander figures to report to Triple-A Buffalo for now, but the Blue Jays could give him a look at some point this month.

The Reds activated Williamson (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

Williamson is slated to make a spot start Wednesday versus the Padres, and he will be used in a piggyback role with Chase Burns afterward. The left-hander held a 6.11 ERA and 19:20 K:BB over 28 frames in six starts for the Reds earlier this season and has missed a chunk of the year with a shoulder issue.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday on the "Talkin' Yanks" podcast by Jomboy Media that Warren could be used in a piggyback role behind starter Max Fried on Saturday in San Diego.

Warren is coming off one of his best starts of the season, having tossed seven innings of one-run ball with seven strikeouts against the Red Sox. However, he is slated for a bullpen role in the postseason and the Yankees might be making that transition now. If Warren is shifted to the bullpen, Elmer Rodriguez would likely remain in the Yankees' rotation.

The Red Sox recalled Rivera from Triple-A Worcester and placed him on the 60-day injured list Tuesday due to a lumbar strain.

The left-hander landed on Worcester's 7-day injured list in late August due to the injury, and his transition to the MLB 60-day IL will bring an end to his 2026 season. Rivera made his first four big-league appearances and recorded a 6.30 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 10:6 K:BB in 10 innings.

The Cardinals selected Rincon's contract from Triple-A Memphis on Tuesday.

Rincon has collected a 4.04 ERA and 88:31 K:BB over 71.1 innings this season at Memphis. The 24-year-old can provide some length in the Cardinals' bullpen and will be making his major-league debut when he enters a game.

Arrighetti is expected to be deployed as a bulk reliever in Tuesday's game against the Guardians, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Spencer Miles will open the game for the Blue Jays before Arrighetti assumes the bulk of the workload. Arrighetti has made one traditional start and one bulk relief appearance so far for Toronto, allowing seven runs (six earned) with an 8:4 K:BB over 7.1 frames.

Pfaadt (7-2) allowed two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out one batter over six innings in a loss to Philadelphia on Monday.

Pfaadt didn't have his swing-and-stuff going, as he notched only five whiffs and one punchout. Nonetheless, he was able to keep the Phillies mostly in check en route to his eighth quality start of the campaign. Despite that achievement, Pfaadt saw his streak of 21 outings without a loss come to an end -- prior to Monday, his only other defeat came April 11 in his third appearance of the season. He'll try to start a new win streak the next time he takes the mound, which is lined up to be on the road in Houston.

Nola (6-10) earned the win over Arizona on Monday, allowing one run on five hits and two walks while striking out four batters over five innings.

Nola yielded just one extra-base hit -- a third-inning double that also produced the only run against him. The right-hander did rack up a hefty 104 pitches over his five frames, but he mostly held Arizona in check and extended his streak of allowing two or fewer runs to five straight starts. Nola entered August with a 3-9 record and a 5.61 ERA, but he turned things around considerably during the month, going 3-1 with a 2.65 ERA and a 41:12 K:BB across 34 innings spanning six starts. The veteran hurler will look to continue building momentum the next time he takes the mound, which is scheduled to be a home tilt against Atlanta.

Rodriguez (0-3) took the loss against the Angels on Monday, allowing four runs on four hits and three walks while striking out five batters over 3.2 innings.

Rodriguez had pretty good strikeout stuff, notching 13 whiffs among his 91 pitches and fanning five batters. Aside from that, however, he endured a rough outing, and he was pulled with two outs in the fourth after giving up three runs on two singles and two hit-by-pitches in that frame. The pair of hit batsmen and three walks highlight a major control issue for Rodriguez this season -- he's walked 16 batters and plunked six across his first 26.2 big-league innings. That's not a recipe for success, and there's a good chance Rodriguez will be sent back to the minors or moved to the bullpen following Monday's defeat.
