Manager Dave Roberts said Wednesday that Sasaki will be shut down from throwing for a while, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

The Dodgers skipper didn't offer any more details as to what "a while" could mean, but it seems the team is going to see how Sasaki responds to a period of rest before it considers administering any sort of medical treatment. The 23-year-old landed on the injured list Tuesday with a right shoulder impingement, and he's likely to be sidelined beyond the 15-day minimum if the no-throw period lasts more than a few days.

Snell (shoulder) played catch from 60 feet out Wednesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports

Some shoulder discomfort prevented Snell from beginning his throwing program over the weekend as originally planned, but he now has the green light from a doctor to begin playing catch. A better idea of when the 32-year-old will return to the mound for Los Angeles might emerge as he progresses further in his rehab, but he seems to be at least several weeks away.

Bellozo will transition to the bullpen in the wake of the Marlins reinstating Ryan Weathers (forearm) from the 15-day injured list Wednesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

The 25-year-old Bellozo started in his first five MLB appearances of the season, and he pitched well with a 3.27 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 16:11 K:BB across 22 innings. The performance was enough to retain his spot on the major-league roster, and the right-hander will be a prime candidate to re-enter the rotation should Miami suffer an injury to another starting pitcher.

Williams did not factor into the decision Wednesday, giving up two runs on four hits and one walk over five innings in a 9-5 loss to the Brewers. He struck out six.

The right-hander allowed a run on two hits and a walk during the second inning and a solo homer in the fifth, but he was otherwise able to keep Milwaukee in check. Williams has surrendered just two runs with a 14:5 K:BB in his past two starts, but he covered five frames in both outings and hasn't pitched into the sixth inning since April 21. He has a 4.29 ERA and 1.64 WHIP through nine starts this year and lines up to face the Twins on the road early next week.

Fedde allowed three hits and four walks while striking out three over 5.2 scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Phillies in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader.

Fedde's control issues returned Wednesday after he pitched a six-hit shutout with no walks versus the Nationals last Friday. The right-hander didn't pay for his wildness in this start, which he finished with 93 pitches (51 strikes). Fedde lowered his ERA to 3.44, but his WHIP is elevated at 1.30, and he's not inspiring much confidence with a 32:25 K:BB over 52.1 innings. He's never been particularly reliant on strikeouts, but he's historically had trouble being any better than mediocre when carrying a BB/9 over 4.0. He's lined up for a tough matchup at home versus the Tigers next week.

Luzardo (4-0) allowed a run on five hits and two walks while striking out six over seven innings to earn the win in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Cardinals.

Luzardo gave up the opening run of the game, a Jordan Walker RBI single, in the seventh inning, but the Phillies answered with two runs of their own a half-inning later. This was Luzardo's third time completing seven innings this season, and he's yet to pitch less than five frames. He's also given up no more than three runs in all nine of his starts this year, which puts him at a 2.00 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 57:15 K:BB across 54 innings. Luzardo's next start is projected to be at Colorado.

The Red Sox placed Houck on the 15-day injured list Wednesday, retroactive to Tuesday, with a right flexor pronator strain, Rob Bradford of WEEI.com reports.

Houck was shelled for 11 runs in just 2.1 innings during his last start against Detroit on Monday, and his injury may have been a contributing factor to his poor performance. He'll now spend at least a couple of weeks on the shelf to ensure he gets back to 100 percent for his next outing; meanwhile, Cooper Criswell will come up from Triple-A Worcester to claim the open spot on the big-league roster, and potentially the Sox's rotation.

The Marlins reinstated Weathers (forearm) from the injured list prior to his start against the Cubs on Wednesday.

A forearm strain has kept Weathers on the injured list since the beginning of the season. After making three rehab starts in the minors and turning in a 1.69 ERA across 10.2 innings, the 25-year-old southpaw is now ready to make his season debut for Miami. He'll be welcomed back to the big leagues by a Cubs offense that currently ranks fourth in MLB with a .768 OPS, and he isn't expected to pitch very deep into Wednesday's contest after throwing just 57 pitches during his final rehab outing. Anthony Veneziano was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville in a corresponding move.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Wednesday that Henderson (2-0) will remain in the majors for now, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. The right-hander earned the win Wednesday in Cleveland after giving up two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out seven over five innings.

Henderson delivered a quality start in his MLB debut in April, and he pitched well again in a spot start Wednesday. Murphy did not fully commit to Henderson making another start, but it seems likely he'll stick in the rotation and take the mound next week at home versus the Orioles.

Civale (hamstring) tossed five shutout innings in his second rehab start with Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday.

Civale allowed two hits, walked one and struck out two while getting his pitch count up to 60. Per Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Brewers manager Pat Murphy said the team will get together and make a decision on whether Civale will make another rehab start or rejoin the big-league rotation next week. The veteran righty has been out since late March with a strained left hamstring.
