Atlanta is expected to option Waldrep to Triple-A Gwinnett following Sunday's 8-6 loss to the Rays, Gabe Burns of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

After he yielded seven earned runs and walked four batters in just 3.2 innings in his MLB debut last Sunday in Washington, Waldrep was given another chance to prove he belonged in Atlanta's rotation. Unfortunately for the 22-year-old righty, he was sent back to the minors after displaying shaky command and control for a second straight outing. He was once again pulled midway through the fourth inning Sunday, needing 71 pitches (42 strikes) to record 10 outs while allowing six earned runs on five hits -- including two home runs -- and four walks. The long-term outlook remains bright for Waldrep, but he'll need further seasoning in the upper levels of the minors before he gets another look in the Atlanta rotation.

The Dodgers placed Yamamoto (triceps) on the 15-day injured list Sunday.

Yamamoto struck out a batter over two scoreless innings before he was lifted from his start in Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Royals after he had experienced tightness in his right tricep while warming up prior to the game. Manager Dave Roberts hinted after the game that Yamamoto was likely to land on the IL, and the Dodgers have made the move official prior to Sunday's series finale. According to David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports, Roberts suggested that Yamamoto will be sent in for further testing Sunday before an official diagnosis for the injury and a timeline for his return is provided.

The Giants placed Harrison on the 15-day injured list Sunday with a right ankle sprain.

Harrison had been scheduled to start Sunday's game against the Angels, but his ankle injury will prompt the Giants to go with an impromptu bullpen day for the series finale, with left-hander Erik Miller serving as the team's opening pitcher. The severity of Harrison's ankle sprain isn't clear, but he'll be eligible to return from the IL as soon as June 28. After getting off to a rough start to the season through his first five outings, Harrison had rebounded with a 2-2 record, 3.40 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 44:17 K:BB in 50.1 innings across his subsequent nine starts.

The Cardinals placed Gibson on the bereavement list Sunday.

Gibson has left the team following a death in the family. Per MLB rules, players placed on the bereavement list have to be deactivated for a minimum of three days and a maximum of seven days, making it unclear if Gibson will be ready to rejoin the team ahead of his next scheduled start. The Cardinals had confirmed Gibson as their starting pitcher for Wednesday's game in Miami, though that announcement was made prior to his placement on the bereavement list.

Atlanta recalled Ynoa from Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday and placed him on the 60-day injured list with a right elbow stress reaction, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Ynoa was optioned to Gwinnett coming out of spring training and made two starts in the minors before landing on the club's 7-day IL on April 23 with what was termed as right elbow inflammation. The 26-year-old's injury is now being classified differently, and since he's already been out of action at Triple-A for nearly two months, his move to Atlanta's 60-day IL won't affect his timeline for a return to the mound. Instead, the transaction temporarily removes Ynoa from Atlanta's 40-man roster and opens up a spot for right-hander Grant Holmes, whose contract was selected from Gwinnett ahead of Sunday's series finale with the Rays.

Jones (4-6) took the loss against the Rockies on Saturday, allowing six runs on six hits and four walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out six.

Jones struck out three of the first four batters he faced on the night before allowing two batters to reach in the second, though he managed to escape the inning unscathed thanks to a double-play ball. However, that luck did not continue as the right-hander went on to surrender at least one run in each of the next three frames while issuing a season-high four walks in the contest. Jones has now surrendered five or more runs in two of his last four starts and has issued multiple free passes in five straight. It also marked the second time in his last four outings that he was unable to make it through five innings.

Blach (3-4) picked up the win over the Pirates on Saturday, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out five over 5.2 innings.

Blach was effective early, striking out the first two batters he faced in the contest and going 1-2-3 through the first two frames. He would go on to surrender a solo homer to Nick Gonzales in the fourth and a second run in the sixth, but the lefty was able to hang on to earn his fourth win of the season and his first in the month of June. Blach has gone at least five innings in five straight outings, issuing multiple walks only one time over that stretch. However, he's also given up at least seven hits in three consecutive starts.

Henry allowed five runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three over four innings in Saturday's 9-2 loss to the White Sox.

The left-handed Henry was slated to be the bulk pitcher but was not brought into the game until the sixth inning, as Chicago loaded its lineup with all right-handed batters. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo sent a slew of righties to the mound before Henry, who entered with the Diamondbacks still in the game, down 4-2. He got through his first inning before giving up two walks and a three-run home run in the seventh. Two innings later, the third batter he walked trotted home on another home run. Henry has allowed seven runs on eight hits and five walks over 6.1 innings since being called up for his second stint in the majors.

Mazur (0-2) took the loss against the Mets on Saturday, allowing two runs on three hits and six walks while striking out four batters over 3.2 innings.

Mazur has struggled to find the strike zone through his first three big-league outings, racking up 13 walks over 12.2 frames. Surprisingly, none of Mazur's career-high six free passes Saturday resulted in a score -- the rookie managed to wiggle out of a constant stream of baserunners until a pair of Mets doubles in the fourth inning resulted in New York's first run. Nonetheless, Mazur isn't likely to find major-league success if he continues to issue free passes at his current rate, and he could be pushed out of San Diego's rotation if Yu Darvish (groin) is able to return to action next week.

Quintana (2-5) earned the win over San Diego on Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and two walks while striking out six batters over six innings.

The only run Quintana allowed in the outing came on a fifth-inning Jackson Merrill solo homer. In fact, that was the only hit Quintana surrendered aside from a Fernando Tatis double in the first frame. This marked the fourth time Quintana has given up fewer than two runs in a start this season, though it was the first instance in which such a performance resulted in a victory. The veteran's six strikeouts Saturday marked a season high.
