Mikolas (4-6) took the loss against the Cubs on Friday, allowing eight runs on 10 hits and no walks with four strikeouts over six innings.

Mikolas surrendered a staggering six home runs over the first three innings but did manage to complete six frames. The 36-year-old has now allowed at least one long ball in six consecutive outings, a stretch that includes two quality starts but also three in which he's given up six or more earned runs. He'll take a 5.26 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 60:20 K:BB across 87.1 innings into a home matchup with the Nationals next week.

Rea (6-3) earned the win against the Cardinals on Friday, allowing one run on one hit and two walks with four strikeouts over 6.2 innings.

Rea surrendered just one hit, a solo home run in the fourth inning, despite generating only six swinging strikes on 97 pitches. The 35-year-old notched his fourth quality start of the season and second in his last four outings, though that stretch also includes a seven-run blowup against Seattle on June 22. He'll carry a 4.13 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 60:21 K:BB across 85 innings into a road matchup with the Twins next week.

Padres manager Mike Shildt said Friday that Darvish (elbow) is "probably not" going to start for the Padres on Sunday, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

With the Padres in the midst of playing 10 games in 10 days and having a hole in their rotation for Sunday, there was some speculation that Darvish -- who hasn't pitched in the big leagues yet this year -- could be activated off the IL to make his season debut. However, that doesn't appear to be in San Diego's plans despite the fact that Darvish tossed 64 pitches in his most recent simulated game Tuesday. The Padres may instead want the veteran right-hander to make at least one minor-league rehab start before returning him to the big club, but it remains uncertain how the team will handle Sunday's open rotation spot. Cassavell suggests that a starter could be called up from the minors, but the situation remains nebulous.

Abbott did not factor into the decision in Friday's 9-6 win over the Phillies, allowing four runs on nine hits and no walks with two strikeouts over 3.1 innings.

Abbott surrendered three runs in the first inning and labored throughout his shortest outing of the season, departing after just 66 pitches. While the southpaw has allowed one earned run or fewer in 12 of his 15 starts this season, he has given up at least four earned runs in each of the other three. He'll carry a 2.15 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 78:22 K:BB across 83.2 innings into a home matchup with the Marlins next week.

Luzardo (7-5) took the loss against the Reds on Friday, allowing six runs (five earned) on six hits and three walks with four strikeouts over two innings.

Luzardo was spotted a 3-0 lead in the first inning but unraveled in the third, failing to record an out while ultimately being charged with five runs in the frame. The southpaw had allowed just seven total earned runs over his previous four starts after reportedly correcting a pitch-tipping issue, but he's now surrendered at least four earned runs in four of his past seven outings. On the year, he owns a 4.44 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 115:35 K:BB across 97.1 innings and will try to rebound in a road matchup with the Giants next week.

Feltner (back) was activated from the 60-day injured list and optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque after Thursday's game.

Feltner struggled with his command and control during his rehab assignment, allowing two homers and issuing nine walks in 10.2 innings with Albuquerque. He will effectively continue his rehab for the time being, but Feltner figures to be back in the majors eventually after he made 30 starts for Colorado last season, pitching to a 4.49 ERA and 1.34 WHIP over 162.1 innings.

Megill (elbow) has been cleared to restart a throwing program, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander has been shut down since landing on the injured list in mid-June due to an elbow sprain, but he recently underwent an MRI that showed reduced inflammation and has been cleared to start throwing on flat ground. Megill will need some time to ramp up his arm strength and may not be ready to come off the IL until early August, but he's hoping for a quick buildup.

Soroka (3-6) took the loss against the Red Sox on Friday, allowing seven runs on nine hits and two walks with six strikeouts over four-plus innings.

Soroka allowed two runs in the second inning and was then charged with five more in the fifth after failing to record an out in the frame. The 27-year-old generated 14 whiffs on 93 pitches while yielding only two extra-base hits, but he gave up a season-high nine hits overall and surrendered more than four earned runs for the first time in 12 starts this season. He'll carry a 5.40 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 70:17 K:BB across 63.1 innings into a road matchup with the Cardinals next week.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said that Senga (hamstring) will aim to throw around 60 pitches in his rehab start Saturday for Double-A Binghamton, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports.

If all goes well, Senga could return from the 15-day injured list and rejoin the big-league rotation next weekend in Kansas City. He would seemingly be in line to take the hill July 11 or July 12 on five or six days' rest, as normal rest would have the right-hander taking the mound July 10 in Baltimore. Senga had a 2.15 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 28:12 K:BB in 29.1 innings over the five starts prior to straining his right hamstring June 12.

Blackburn (shoulder) will be shut down from throwing until early next week, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports.

The veteran right-hander landed on the injured list Thursday due to a shoulder impingement, but the Mets don't seem concerned about the severity of the issue. Blackburn could be ready to rejoin the roster in late July, but he may not have a rotation spot waiting for him if Kodai Senga (hamstring) and Sean Manaea (elbow/oblique) beat him back from the IL.
