Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo confirmed that Burnes (shoulder) has been cleared to make his next start Saturday versus the Dodgers at Chase Field, Alex D'Agostino of SI.com reports. "As we anticipated, Saturday's looking really, really good," Lovullo said of Burnes' status.

Burnes wasn't able to start Monday's series opener against the Mets as initially planned after he was diagnosed with a right shoulder inflammation following an MRI on Friday. Though Burnes looked to be at risk of landing on the 15-day injured list, his shoulder responded well to a cortisone injection, and Lovullo relayed that the right-hander checked off the final box in his recovery by completing a bullpen session Wednesday. Despite Burnes receiving a clean bill of health, fantasy managers in shallower leagues may want to tread carefully with him during his upcoming start. In addition to drawing a tough matchup versus a potent Dodgers lineup, Burnes' underlying numbers (4.64 SIERA, career-low 7.9 K-BB%) through his first six starts of the season have been far from the ace-level production that the Diamondbacks would have hoped for after signing him to a $210 million contract this winter.

Greene was removed from his start Wednesday against Atlanta due to a right groin injury, Charlie Goldsmith of the Dayton Daily News reports.

Greene made it through three innings with six strikeouts and zero runs scored against him, but he seemingly injured himself while warming up ahead of the fourth. The Reds' training staff will take a closer look at him to determine the severity of his injury, and there should be an update on his status in the near future. As of now, the 25-year-old righty is lined up to make his next start against the White Sox on Tuesday.

Kelly (3-2) took the loss Wednesday against the Mets, allowing three runs on six hits over 6.1 innings. He struck out six.

After leaving his last start early with a hamstring cramp, Kelly certainly appeared healthy Wednesday as he held the Mets scoreless on just two hits through his first five innings. However, the right-hander would give up a homer to Juan Soto in the sixth before New York tacked on two more runs in the seventh. The loss is Kelly's first since April 3 -- he hadn't allowed more than two runs in his previous four starts coming into Wednesday. Kelly's ERA now sits at 4.09 through his first 44 innings this year with a 1.05 WHIP and 33:12 K:BB. He's currently lined up to face the Giants on the road in his next outing.

Senga (4-2) earned the win Wednesday over the Diamondbacks, allowing two hits and six walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out four.

Senga's command was shaky early, as he issued five walks in the first three innings. He'd manage to keep the Diamondbacks off the board, however, before settling in and retiring 11 of the 12 batters he faced over his final three frames. Senga's now held opponents scoreless in four of his seven starts this year. His ERA is down to a minuscule 1.16 with a 1.16 WHIP and 35:17 K:BB across 38.2 innings. Senga will look to keep his stellar run going in his next outing, currently slated for next week at home against the Pirates.

Rockies manager Bud Black said that Gordon will be called up form Triple-A Albquerque to start the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Tigers, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

After the Rockies' series opener with the Tigers on Tuesday was postponed due to inclement weather, the two teams will wrap up the three-game set with a doubleheader Thursday. Kyle Freeland will get the ball for the first game of the day, while Gordon will presumably be designated as the 27th man for the twin bill and will take the hill for the nightcap. Gordon made eight starts for the Rockies in 2024, going 0-6 while posting an 8.65 ERA and 1.72 WHIP over 34.1 innings. He's enjoyed more success across his six starts at Triple-A this season with a 4.82 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 22:6 K:BB across 28 innings.

Miley (elbow) is scheduled to resume his rehab assignment with High-A Dayton on Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Currently on Triple-A Louisville's 7-day injured list while he works his way back from the hybrid UCL surgery he underwent on his left elbow last May, Miley has already made two rehab starts with Dayton, but he didn't make it out of the first inning in his most recent outing April 27 due to a groin injury. The veteran southpaw appears to have responded well after resting up for the last week and a half and will slot back into the Dayton rotation this weekend. Miley will eventually report to Triple-A, and if he pitches well with the Reds' top affiliate, he could get a look in the big-league rotation at some point later this summer.

Brown (3-3) took the loss Wednesday against the Giants, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out nine.

Brown was solid Wednesday, setting a season high with nine punchouts. However, the Cubs failed to provide enough run support against Robbie Ray in an eventual 3-1 defeat. The results have been mixed for Brown in his first eight appearances this year. Overall, the 25-year-old right-hander sports a 4.95 ERA with a 1.65 WHIP and 44:16 K:BB across 36.1 innings. Brown's tentatively lined up for a home matchup with the Marlins in his next outing.

Ray (5-0) earned the win Wednesday over the Cubs, allowing one run on three hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out five.

Ray was sharp again Wednesday, delivering a third straight quality start -- the veteran southpaw has posted a stellar 1.80 ERA over his last four outings (25 innings). Overall, Ray's ERA is down to 2.84 on the season with a 1.20 WHIP and 46:23 K:BB through eight starts (44.1 innings). He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, currently lined up for next week against the Diamondbacks.

Gray (4-1) picked up the win Wednesday, scattering two hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings in a 5-0 victory. He struck out eight.

In his best performance of the season so far, Gray only allowed one baserunner to get into scoring position, and that came when a catcher's interference call put Andrew McCutchen on board after what would have been strike three in the fourth inning. Gray racked up 30 called or swinging strikes over 89 pitches (60 total strikes) in his fourth quality start of the year, and he'll take a 3.50 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 47:11 K:BB through 46.1 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road early next week in Philadelphia.

Woodruff (shoulder) allowed two earned runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out six in his latest rehab start at Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday.

Making the fifth start of his rehab assignment, Woodruff built up to 83 pitches (60 strikes) and displayed a fastball that topped out at 94.4 miles per hour. He's in the final stages of his recovery from September 2023 right shoulder capsule surgery, which kept him out for the entire 2024 season. Per Adam McCalvy of MLB.com, Woodruff will either make one more rehab start with Nashville or return from the 15-day injured list to make his 2025 debut with the Brewers, which would likely fall next week in Cleveland.
