The Padres recalled Hart from Triple-A El Paso to start Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Hart will fill Michael King's (shoulder) spot in San Diego's rotation after King was placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday. Hart made the Padres' Opening Day rotation, but he was demoted to Triple-A after logging a 6.00 ERA in five starts. The 32-year-old has made three starts at El Paso, tallying a 3.07 ERA and 12:12 K:BB over 14.2 innings. Omar Cruz was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Megill (4-4) picked up the win Tuesday, giving up two runs on four hits and four walks over 5.2 innings in a 6-4 victory over the White Sox. He struck out six.

The right-hander ran out of gas in the sixth inning, loading the bases on a single and two walks before getting the hook after 100 pitches (64 strikes), but Jose Butto got out of the jam without adding any runs to Megill's ledger. While he fell short of his second quality start of the season, Megill did collect his first win since April 21, snapping a five-start winless streak that had seen him stumble to a 6.17 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 36:12 K:BB over 23.1 innings. The 29-year-old lines up for a tough test in his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road early next week against the Dodgers.

Quintana (shoulder) gave up three earned runs on six hits and one walk while striking out three over four innings in a rehab start Tuesday with High-A Wisconsin.

Quintana wasn't especially sharp in the rehab outing, but he built up to 71 pitches and should be ready to return from the 15-day injured list to make his next start with the Brewers on Sunday in Philadelphia. He'll likely return to Milwaukee on Wednesday for further evaluation and will presumably throw another bullpen session before the Brewers lock him in to start Sunday. Before being shelved earlier this month with a left shoulder impingement, Quintana had gone 4-1 with a 2.65 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 24:11 K:BB across 34 innings.

Priester (finger) is listed as the Brewers' probable starting pitcher for Friday's game against the Phillies in Philadelphia.

Priester contended with a blister on his right middle finger during his previous start last Saturday, but the Brewers were apparently satisfied with how he looked during his between-starts bullpen session and have cleared him for his next turn through the rotation. The 25-year-old pitched well last weekend in spite of the blister and owns a 2.53 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 15:7 K:BB in 21.1 innings over his last four outings. Despite his strong form of late, Priester could be at risk of losing his starting role if the Brewers elect to keep a five-man rotation in place once both Jose Quintana (shoulder) and Brandon Woodruff (ankle) return from the injured list.

Suarez (4-0) picked up the win in Tuesday's 2-0 victory over Atlanta, allowing four hits and three walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out eight.

The eight Ks were a season high for the southpaw as he reeled off his fourth straight win and fourth straight quality start, while extending his scoreless streak to 13.2 innings. Suarez got a late start to the campaign due to back trouble and had a rough 2025 debut against Arizona on May 4, but since then he's been impressive, producing a 1.01 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 25:8 K:BB in 26.2 innings during his win streak. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home this weekend against the Brewers.

Singer (6-3) got the win Tuesday over the Royals, allowing two runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out three over seven innings.

The Royals picked up a pair of runs in the second inning against Singer but he otherwise shut down his former club while reaching seven innings for the first time since his season debut. None of the hits Singer allowed went for extra bases and it was his second consecutive outing not allowing a home run. However, Singer has not had more than four strikeouts in an outing since April 23 and has a 17:14 K:BB over his last six starts. He'll look to make it two wins in a row when the Brewers come to town to begin next week.

Strider (0-3) took the loss Tuesday, allowing one run on one hit and four walks over 4.2 innings as Atlanta was downed 2-0 by the Phillies. He struck out seven.

The right-hander was inefficient, tossing 50 of 90 pitches for strikes, and one of the pitches that got away from him resulted in Bryce Harper taking a 95.3 mph fastball off the elbow. Strider has failed to last five innings in either of his first two starts since recovering from a hamstring strain, posting a 10:5 K:BB in nine innings as he searches for his prior command and velocity. He lines up to make his next trip to the mound at home this weekend against the Red Sox.

Civale allowed one run on three hits and a walk while striking out four in five innings Tuesday against the Red Sox. He did not factor into the decision.

Civale blanked the Red Sox through five innings while tossing 75 pitches. He returned for the sixth and was met with a ground-rule double from Ceddanne Rafaela, which ended his night. Rafaela would come around to score for the game's first run and leave Civale in line for the loss. Still, it was a needed bounce-back outing for Civale, who came in having allowed seven runs and four homers in seven innings this season. Civale lines up to make his third road start of the campaign next week against the Reds.

Burnes allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out six over seven innings in a no-decision versus the Pirates on Tuesday.

Burnes was excellent aside from allowing a two-run home run to Henry Davis in the sixth inning. The Diamondbacks' bullpen then butchered the outing for Burnes, allowing a seven-run eighth inning to cost the right-hander a win. He's rattled off five straight quality starts and has gone seven innings three times in that span. He's at a 2.72 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 57:25 K:BB over 59.2 innings across 10 starts this season, as his slightly elevated walk rate (3.8 BB/9) hasn't come back to bite him too often yet. Burnes' next outing is projected to be at Atlanta next week.

Burrows allowed five runs (four earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out two over 3.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

Burrows' second major-league start was a little worse than his first. He gave up a solo home run to Corbin Carroll in the first inning and then ran into trouble in the fourth. Burrows would have taken a second loss were it not for the Pirates' offense rallying ahead in a massive eighth inning. Burrows has given up nine runs (eight earned) with a 5:4 K:BB across 8.1 innings over his first two starts. Should he stay in the rotation, he is tentatively projected to make his next appearance at home versus the Astros.
