  • Ben Lively SP | CLE

Phillies' Ben Lively: Cruises to third victory of 2017

Lively (3-5) held the Mets to a single run on four hits and three walks over seven innings en route to the win Tuesday. He struck out four.

The rookie even supported his own cause with a 2-for-4 effort at the plate that included a two-run single and a two-run homer. Lively's been a bit of a hit-or-miss fantasy play, but the hits have been more common since his return from Triple-A, as he's now tossed three quality starts in four outings. However, he'll draw a tough matchup on the road against the Nationals on Sunday.

  • Jacob deGrom SP | TEX

Mets' Jacob deGrom: Crushed in loss to Phillies

DeGrom (14-9) was bombarded for nine runs -- six earned -- on 10 hits and a pair of walks over just 3.2 innings in a 9-1 loss to the Phillies on Tuesday.

The Mets' only ace left standing has been having a rough time of it lately, having been tagged for 24 runs (20 of those earned) over 31 innings spanning his last five starts -- four of which have resulted in defeat. This was deGrom's shortest outing of the season, and it certainly came at an inopportune moment for his fantasy owners. He'll start for the second time this week Sunday against the Reds with an eye on redemption.

  • Kyle Hendricks SP | LAA

Cubs' Kyle Hendricks: Allows two runs in no-decision versus Pirates

Hendricks allowed two runs on five hits and no walks across 6.2 innings in a no-decision Tuesday against the Pirates. He recorded two strikeouts.

Hendricks allowed just four men past first base on the day, with his only real mistake coming on a two-run home run by Jordan Luplow in the second inning. He threw first-pitch strikes to 19 of 25 batters faced and induced a whopping 13 groundball outs. Hendricks has clearly hit his stride of late, delivering five consecutive quality starts and allowing two runs or fewer in four of those. His good form has lowered his ERA back down to a tidy 3.29 ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Brewers.

  • Jordan Lyles RP | KC

Padres' Jordan Lyles: Set to continue on in rotation

Lyles will start Friday against the Diamondbacks.

The Padres are planning to deploy a six-man rotation the rest of the way, with Lyles following Clayton Richard in the series opener in Arizona. Lyles held the Dodgers to two runs over 4.1 innings in his first start of the season last week, but he had more walks (4) than strikeouts (3). Further, he gave up 11 homers in 46.2 innings with the Rockies earlier this year, so it could get ugly in a hurry against the Diamondbacks.

  • Rockies' Antonio Senzatela: Moving to bullpen

Senzatela will be available out of the bullpen Tuesday against the Braves, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Senzatela hasn't pitched in a week and would have been available to start either of the first two games of the series, but Rockies manager Bud Black ultimately decided to move the rookie to a relief role and reinsert Tyler Chatwood back into the rotation. After Senzatela reeled off a 9-2 record and 4.10 ERA through his first 14 starts of the season, it's been nothing but downhill ever since, with the right-hander submitting a 5.83 ERA and 1.49 over 41.2 innings in his subsequent 13 appearances. Senzatela could prove to be more of an asset out of the bullpen, but it appears at least for now, the Rockies will see if Chatwood or one of their other options can provide an upgrade at the back end of the rotation.

  • Max Fried SP | NYY

Braves' Max Fried: To stick in six-man rotation

Fried will remain a member of a six-man rotation going forward, David O'Brien of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. He will start Saturday against the Marlins.

The Braves are moving Lucas Sims to the bullpen with Luiz Gohara getting promoted, and will stick with a six-man rotation. Fried struggled this season after making the jump from Low-A to Double-A, but as a member of the 40-man roster, he was pushed a bit more aggressively than he would have been under ideal circumstances. With that in mind, it would not be surprising to see the Braves give him a longer leash in the rotation than the typical 23-year-old with his lack of success in the upper levels. If he impresses down the stretch, he could enter 2018 as a favorite to break camp in the rotation.

  • Julio Teheran SP | BAL

Braves' Julio Teheran: Start pushed to Wednesday

Teheran's next start was pushed to Wednesday against the Rangers, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

He was scheduled to start Tuesday, but the Braves are promoting one of their top pitching prospects, Luiz Gohara, to make that start. Teheran will be pitching on two extra days of rest as a result. It is unclear if the Braves will go with a six-man rotation the rest of the way or if someone will be bumped in favor of Gohara.

  • Dodgers' Walker Buehler: Joins Dodgers on Wednesday

Buehler will be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

He is one of the top pitching prospects in baseball, and reached Triple-A after starting the year at High-A. Buehler has a 3.35 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 125:31 K:BB in 88.2 innings across three levels. Unfortunately, it seems he is poised to occupy a bullpen role in his big-league debut, as his last nine appearances have come out of the Oklahoma City bullpen. He could be dominant in such a role, thanks to a plus-plus curveball and a fastball which serves as another 70-grade offering, especially in short bursts.

  • Chase Anderson RP | TEX

Brewers' Chase Anderson: Earns no-decision Monday

Anderson allowed four runs -- three earned -- on seven hits and three walks while striking out four batters over 5.1 innings Monday against the Reds. He didn't factor into the decision.

Anderson has now failed to complete six innings in three of his four starts since returning from the disabled list, a stretch over which he owns a 3.80 ERA and 20:10 K:BB across 21.1 innings. Despite his slow return from an oblique injury, the 29-year-old still owns a career-best 3.06 ERA and 8.5 K/9 in 111.2 innings this season. His next start is scheduled for Saturday against the Cubs.

  • Robbie Ray SP | SD

Diamondbacks' Robbie Ray: Strikes out 14 to reach dozen wins

Ray (12-5) struck out 14 batters and gave up just three hits over 7.2 innings to earn the victory Monday against the Dodgers.

Ray has now struck out double-digit batters in consecutive starts and has recorded a ridiculous 33 strikeouts over just 19.1 innings in his past three outings. After a slow start to the season, Ray has been one of the league's elite starting pitchers. In his past 15 starts, Ray now owns a 1.94 ERA with an absurd 125 strikeouts over 92.2 innings.
