Jose Quintana SP | COL
Cubs' Jose Quintana: Pitches well in no-decision
Quintana did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 2-1, 11-inning loss against the Pirates. He allowed one run on four hits and two walks over five innings, while striking out four.
Quintana pitched better than he did in his last two starts, when he allowed a combined 10 earned runs, but the Chicago offense didn't do enough to get the lefty his 11th win of the season. Quintana actually looked like he'd go even deeper in the game, but he started the sixth inning by allowing a single, a walk and a double before getting the hook. This was nonetheless a step in the right direction for the 29-year-old, and he'll look to build on it his next outing, which is scheduled for Saturday against the Reds.

Yu Darvish SP | SD
Cubs' Yu Darvish: MRI on tap
Darvish will undergo an MRI on his shoulder after leaving his rehab start Sunday after just one inning, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Darvish had made one rehab appearance back in late June but was shut down after experiencing similar discomfort. He hopes that he'll pitch again this season, but that's suddenly a doubt after it looked like he was finally back on the right track. His prognosis should become clearer following the MRI.

Yu Darvish SP | SD
Cubs' Yu Darvish: Lasts just one inning in rehab appearance
Darvish (shoulder) was removed after just one inning in his rehab start for Low-A South Bend on Sunday, Bruce Levine of 670TheScore.com reports.
Darvish was supposed to throw at least 50 pitches but left after throwing just 19, motioning as if something was wrong while warming up for the second inning. It's unclear what exactly went wrong, but this appears to be the latest in a string of setbacks for the veteran starter.

Stephen Strasburg SP | WAS
Nationals' Stephen Strasburg: Scheduled to return Wednesday
Strasburg (neck) is scheduled to come off the disabled list Wednesday and start against the Phillies, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.
Strasburg will wind up missing just over a month with a pinched nerve in his neck. He was expected to pitch Tuesday after his latest bullpen session went well Saturday, but the team instead decided to give him one extra day of rest, slotting him in behind Tanner Roark in the rotation.

Michael Wacha SP | KC
Cardinals' Michael Wacha: Struggles in first rehab turn
Wacha (oblique) allowed three earned runs on a hit and two walks over two-thirds of an inning in High-A Palm Beach's loss to Charlotte on Saturday. He also recorded a strikeout.
Wacha couldn't get into any type of groove during his brief time on the mound, with three stolen bases by the Stone Crabs contributing to his misery. Wacha only gave up one run -- courtesy of a sacrifice fly -- while on the mound, but he was charged with two more after the bullpen allowed them to score following his exit. The right-hander is slated for multiple rehab appearances, so he should have an extended opportunity to atone for Saturday's rocky outing.

Kolby Allard RP | CLE
Braves' Kolby Allard: Sent back to minors
The Braves optioned Allard to Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday.
Allard rejoined the Braves last week but made just one appearance during his latest stint with the big club, giving up three runs on four hits and a walk over an inning of relief Friday against the Rockies. He'll presumably rejoin the Gwinnett rotation with the Braves reinstating Sam Freeman (shoulder) from the 10-day disabled list in a corresponding move.

Antonio Senzatela RP | MIL
Rockies' Antonio Senzatela: No-decision in return from DL
Senzatela didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 5-3 extra-inning win over the Braves, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks over five innings while striking out one.
The right-hander threw 82 pitches (49 strikes) in his first start since Aug. 2 due to shoulder inflammation, and while Senzatela was fairly effective, he was on the hook for his fourth loss of the season until the Rockies scored their first runs of the game in the ninth inning. He'll take a 4.47 ERA into his next start Friday at home against the Cardinals.

Rich Hill SP | KC
Dodgers' Rich Hill: Settles in after rough first inning
Hill allowed four runs on four hits and five walks while striking out eight over six innings in a no-decision against the Mariners on Saturday.
His night began: walk, groundout, infield single, single, homer. After that, the lefty was quite good, allowing just one hit over his final five frames. Hill made a mechanical adjustment while on the disabled list earlier in the season that helped him rediscover the spin rate on his curveball, and the results have been stellar since (2.82 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, 73:22 K:BB over his last 12 starts). He lines up for a home start against the Padres next weekend.

Brett Graves SP | ATH
Marlins' Brett Graves: Picks up first career save
Graves pitched a scoreless 10th inning Saturday to record his first career save in Saturday's 7-5 win over the Nationals.
After Drew Steckenrider blew the save in the ninth inning, Marlins manager Don Mattingly didn't have any other likely closer candidates available once the team regained the lead in the top of the 10th, but Graves was able to get the job done despite throwing only seven of his 14 pitches for strikes. Given his 6.23 ERA on the season, don't look for the 25-year-old rookie to get many future save chances.

Joe Musgrove SP | SD
Pirates' Joe Musgrove: Fans seven in win over Cubs
Musgrove (5-7) picked up the win in Saturday's 3-1 victory over the Cubs, allowing one run on five hits over seven innings while striking out seven.
It's his fifth straight quality start, although limited run support has saddled Musgrove with a 2-3 record during that stretch despite a 2.12 ERA and 0.88 WHIP. The right-hander will try to keep things rolling Friday in Milwaukee.
