Steven Matz RP | TB
Mets' Steven Matz: Dealing with nerve issue
Matz will travel back to New York to have a nerve issue in his left forearm examined, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
Matz turned in a solid performance in his last start Friday against the Brewers, but he evidently didn't feel quite right and will head back to New York to get checked out by the team doctors. His next outing is slated for Wednesday in San Diego, although there's a good chance he'll remain in New York if the medical staff is at all concerned about his health.

Kevin Gausman SP | CHC
Braves' Kevin Gausman: Scheduled to start Monday
Gausman will start Monday against the Dodgers, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan Atlanta reports.
Gausman will pitch on two days' rest after being ejected for throwing behind Jose Urena just 28 pitches into his previous start Friday against the Marlins. He'll bump Max Fried back to Tuesday and Mike Foltynewicz back to Wednesday.

Chris Flexen RP | CHC
Mets' Chris Flexen: Optioned after allowing walkoff
Flexen was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday after giving up a walkoff single in Saturday's loss to the Brewers.
Flexen worked around a leadoff double to Ryan Braun to keep the score tied in the 17th inning, but Braun got him again in the 18th with a bases-loaded one-out single to send the Brewers home victorious. The Mets need fresh arms after the marathon, so Tim Peterson and Tyler Bashlor were called up to take the place of Flexen and Ryan O'Rourke.

Mike Soroka SP | ARI
Braves' Mike Soroka: Delivers seven strong innings
Soroka (3-1) earned the win against the Marlins on Saturday by allowing two unearned runs on three hits. He struck out six and walked two.
Soroka pitched well for the fourth straight start since his promotion, with a pair of errors during the second inning helping to account for the Marlins' only runs of the evening. The 21-year-old has a 1.14 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 27:8 K:BB across 23.2 innings and will look to keep things rolling Thursday at Arizona.

Joey Lucchesi RP | LAA
Padres' Joey Lucchesi: Shaky in no-decision
Lucchesi gave up three runs on five hits and two walks across five innings during Saturday's loss to the Dodgers. He struck out two batters and did not factor into the decision.
Lucchesi gave up just one run through five innings before the Dodgers did some damage in the sixth frame. He allowed the first two batters of the inning to reach base before getting the hook. Brad Wieck entered and immediately gave up a three-run shot to Max Muncy. Lucchesi has now been drilled for 20 runs in 25.2 innings over his last five starts. He'll look to get his ERA back under 5.00 in Colorado next Friday.

Rich Hill SP | KC
Dodgers' Rich Hill: Lasts just four innings
Hill yielded three runs on seven hits and a walk across four innings in Saturday's win over the Padres. He struck out three batters and allowed two homers but did not factor into the decision.
Hill has allowed eight runs across 10 innings in his first two starts this season, though only four have been earned. During Saturday's outing, Manny Machado took him deep for a pair of solo blasts. He'll carry a 3.60 ERA and 9:1 K:BB into next Thursday's tilt against Washington.
-
Zack Wheeler SP | PHI
Mets' Zack Wheeler: Whiffs 10 in no-decision
Wheeler allowed two earned runs on six hits and one walk while striking out 10 across seven innings Saturday against the Brewers. He did not factor into the decision.
Wheeler excelled in a tough matchup, generating 20 called strikes and 19 swinging strikes. By not allowing the Brewers to take him deep, Wheeler has now gone three consecutive starts without allowing a home run, spanning 20 innings. Another encouraging part of his performance was Wheeler's one walk surrendered, just the third time in seven starts this season that he has walked three or fewer batters. He'll look to build off this start in his next outing, likely to come Friday against Miami.

Trevor Williams RP | TEX
Pirates' Trevor Williams: Battles back for no-decision
Williams allowed four runs on eight hits with three strikeouts and one walk across six innings in a no-decision against the Athletics on Saturday.
The Athletics scored three runs against Williams in the first inning, but the right-hander mostly settled down after that. Before Saturday, Williams was lights out in first innings this year, but he has sometimes struggled the second time through the order, so it was nice to see him make the proper adjustments to avoid a loss Saturday. Williams is 1-1 with a 3.74 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 32 strikeouts in 43.1 innings this year. His next scheduled start is Friday in St. Louis.

Patrick Corbin SP | TOR
Nationals' Patrick Corbin: Turns in quality start
Corbin allowed three runs on six hits with six strikeouts and three walks across six innings in a no-decision against the Phillies on Saturday.
The two bullpens yielded 12 combined runs Saturday, as neither starter factored into the decision. Corbin looked better in this outing than his last one, where he yielded a season-high six runs, but he still walked three batters. Corbin has allowed seven free passes in his last 11 innings. Overall, he is 2-1 with a 3.71 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 50 strikeouts in 43.2 innings.

Kyle Freeland SP | COL
Rockies' Kyle Freeland: Crushed for eight runs
Freeland (2-5) threw six innings in a loss to Arizona on Saturday, yielding eight runs on nine hits and two walks and striking out just one.
Freeland was taken deep three times in this contest, the most he's allowed in one outing all season. He coughed up two homers in the second inning before giving up a three-run shot to David Peralta in the third. The 25-year-old southpaw has had trouble replicating his 2018 success as he now owns a rough 5.90 ERA in 39.2 innings. Freeland will look to get back in the win column next Friday against the Padres.
