Kyle Hendricks SP | LAA
Cubs' Kyle Hendricks: Could return before All-Star break
Manager Joe Maddon said Hendricks (shoulder) "possibly" will return from the injured list before the All-Star break, which begins July 8, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Hendricks completed a 30-pitch bullpen Wednesday and felt no issues, per Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com, and he'll ramp up to 45 pitches in another bullpen session Saturday before the Cubs determine the next step in his rehab. The right-hander has been sidelined since June 15 with a shoulder impingement.

Kyle Wright SP | CHC
Braves' Kyle Wright: Back to Triple-A
The Braves optioned Wright to Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday.
Wright's demotion clears a spot on the active roster for Bryse Wilson, who was recalled from Triple-A ahead of his scheduled start Thursday against the Cubs. The Braves merely brought Wright up earlier this week to provide an extra arm in the bullpen, but he ultimately went unused during his brief stint in the big leagues. Wright will slot back into the rotation at Gwinnett, with whom he's produced a 6.08 ERA and 1.38 WHIP across 50.1 innings on the season.

Adrian Houser SP | SF
Brewers' Adrian Houser: Charged with loss
Houser (2-2) was charged with the loss Wednesday after a two-inning start against the Mariners in which he recorded four strikeouts and allowed three runs on four hits and three walks.
Houser struck out the side in the first inning, although he allowed a pair of runs along the way. The Mariners continued to get to him in the second frame with another pair of walks and a run courtesy of their second triple of the night. In all, it took Houser 64 pitches to get through three innings. The 26-year-old had been dominant in a high-leverage reliever role this season, but he's now filling in for Jimmy Nelson while the latter works out his mechanics in the bullpen. Over 33.1 innings, Houser owns a 2.94 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 40:15 K:BB. He'll look to extend his efficiency during his next start Monday against Cincinnati.

Yu Darvish SP | SD
Cubs' Yu Darvish: Gives up five runs in loss
Darvish (2-4) gave up five runs on five hits and two walks while striking out eight through five innings to take the loss against the Braves on Wednesday.
Darvish ran into trouble early, as he gave up all five runs in his first three innings. The loss broke a streak of 10 consecutive no-decisions for the 32-year-old, one short of an MLB record. The right-hander continues to struggle with a 4.98 ERA through 17 starts this season. Darvish will make his next start Tuesday against the Pirates at PNC Park.

Dallas Keuchel SP | MIL
Braves' Dallas Keuchel: Gives up three runs in win
Keuchel (1-1) gave up three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out two through 5.2 innings to take the win over the Cubs on Wednesday.
Keuchel surrendered two home runs and allowed plenty of baserunners, but he did enough to keep the Braves in the game and earn his first win of the season. The left-hander also recorded his first hit in the major leagues since 2015. Keuchel has a 1-1 record with a 5.06 ERA through two starts this season, and he'll next take the mound Tuesday against the Phillies at SunTrust Park.

Zac Gallen SP | ARI
Marlins' Zac Gallen: Whiffs eight
Gallen (0-1) allowed three earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking eight across five innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Nationals.
Gallen cruised through five frames, with the only hit he surrendered coming on an infield single by Adam Eaton. However, he allowed three consecutive singles to begin the sixth inning before being lifted having allowed one earned run. He was ultimately charged with two additional runs after Wei-Yin Chen yielded a three-run homer, allowing the inherited runners to score. Though that soured Gallen's effort, he still generated 15 swinging strikes on 91 total pitches and didn't allow an extra-base hit. While dealing in a small sample, Gallen has lived up to the hype since earning the call to the major leagues, allowing four earned runs across 10 innings while whiffing 14. He'll look to keep things going in his next start, currently scheduled as a rematch against the Nationals on Tuesday.

Patrick Corbin SP | TOR
Nationals' Patrick Corbin: Whiffs nine
Corbin (7-5) allowed one earned run on three hits and a walk while striking out nine across seven innings to earn the win Wednesday against the Marlins.
Corbin was dominant, allowing only three singles and a walk to the 25 batters he faced. He backed his nine punchouts -- his highest mark in six starts -- with 16 swinging and called strikes apiece on 100 total pitches. While he took advantage of an easy matchup, Corbin has completed 14 innings across his last two starts, allowing only two earned runs while striking out 17. He'll look to keep the strong run going in his next outing, currently scheduled as a rematch with Miami on Tuesday.

Adam Wainwright SP | STL
Cardinals' Adam Wainwright: Fans nine in tough loss
Wainwright (5-7) took the loss Wednesday against the Athletics after giving up two runs on seven hits across 6.2 innings. He struck out nine and walked one.
Wainwright pitched well Wednesday but was pulled during the seventh inning following a two-out homer from Matt Chapman. The Cardinals rewarded their veteran right-hander for his effective performance by not recording an extra-base hit until the ninth inning, saddling him with the loss. The 37-year-old has a 4.35 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 76:33 K:BB over 82.2 innings this season and should pitch at Seattle next week.

German Marquez SP | SD
Rockies' German Marquez: Grabs eighth win
Marquez (8-3) picked up the win in Wednesday's 6-3 victory over the Giants, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits and two walks over five innings while striking out two.
A high pitch count kept Marquez from a quality start -- he needed 98 pitches (64 strikes) to record his 15 outs -- but he still notched his fifth win in his last six decisions. The right-hander will take a 4.29 ERA and 113:26 K:BB through 115.1 innings into his next outing Tuesday, at home against the Astros.

Tony Gonsolin RP | KC
Dodgers' Tony Gonsolin: Poor debut against D-backs
Gonsolin (0-1) took the loss Wednesday, coughing up six runs (four earned) on six hits over four innings while striking out three as the Dodgers were downed 8-2 by the Diamondbacks.
While some shaky defense behind him didn't help, Gonsolin also showed plenty of jitters in his big-league debut, getting tagged for four runs before he could even record an out, with the big blow being a three-run homer by Eduardo Escobar. It's not yet clear whether the 25-year-old will head back to Triple-A Oklahoma City after this outing or shift to a bullpen role with the Dodgers, but he didn't do much to encourage the front office to keep him around.
