  • Jon Gray SP | TEX

Rockies' Jon Gray: Stuck with loss Saturday

Gray (9-6) allowed three runs on eight hits and two walks over five innings in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Diamondbacks. He struck out four and took the loss.

Gray needed 97 pitches (64 strikes) to get through his five-plus innings, exiting after allowing a tie-breaking two-run homer to Jake Lamb. Gray now owns a 3.92 ERA and 1.38 WHIP with 115 strikeouts over 108 innings this season, but the loss snapped a four-start winning streak for the right-hander. Gray is projected to start the Rockies' first game back from the All-Star break, at home versus Cincinnati on Friday.

  • Robbie Ray SP | SD

Diamondbacks' Robbie Ray: Fans eight in win

Ray (6-6) earned the win Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and five walks over six innings. He struck out eight in the 4-2 win over the Rockies.

Ray was strong but also a bit wild, as Saturday marks the fourth time he's issued five free passes in a game this year. It's still one of the better starts of the year for the 27-year-old. He lowered his ERA to 3.96 with the one-run performance, and he takes a 1.35 WHIP and 137:54 K:BB into his next scheduled start, which is expected to be on the road versus the Cardinals on Saturday.

  • Max Fried SP | NYY

Braves' Max Fried: Gives up 11 hits in loss

Fried (9-4) surrendered five runs on 11 hits across five innings to take the loss Saturday against the Marlins. He struck out seven and walked one.

Fried was in pretty good shape until the fifth inning, when Miami tallied three runs on four hits. The 25-year-old has a 4.29 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 97:29 K:BB over 98.2 innings and will head into the All-Star break on a sour note.

  • Brewers' Adrian Houser: Struggles again in rotation

Houser allowed five runs on seven hits with three walks and five strikeouts across four innings while taking a loss against the Pirates on Saturday.

The 26-year-old moved back into the rotation in late June, and the results of the decision haven't been particularly good. In three starts since transitioning back to the rotation, Houser is 0-2 with a 9.00 ERA. Overall, he is 2-3 with a 4.01 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 47 strikeouts in 42.2 innings across 19 appearances -- including five starts -- this season.

  • Reds' Anthony DeSclafani: Provides quality start

DeSclafani gave up two runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings during Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Indians. He struck out six and did not factor in the decision.

Francisco Lindor provided Cleveland's only offense against DeSclafani, as he hit a pair of solo home runs to right field. The 29-year-old finished the first half on a strong note Saturday and has a 4.26 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 90:26 K:BB through 86.2 innings.

  • Pirates' Jameson Taillon: Scheduled to throw Sunday

Taillon (elbow) will play catch Sunday, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Taillon was originally supposed to play catch last weekend and was later expected to throw Thursday or Friday, but he'll fall slightly behind that schedule again. He's expected to play catch for up to two weeks before a decision is made about his next steps.

  • Julio Teheran SP | BAL

Braves' Julio Teheran: Shuts down Marlins in no-decision

Teheran didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 1-0 win over the Marlins, giving up five hits and two walks over six scoreless innings while striking out six.

The right-hander didn't allow a baserunner past second base until his final inning of work and certainly pitched well enough to earn his sixth win, but unfortunately for Teheran, Miami rookie Jordan Yamamoto was posting goose eggs as well. Teheran will take a 3.75 ERA and 91:51 K:BB through 100.2 innings into the All-Star break.

  • Eric Lauer SP | LAD

Padres' Eric Lauer: Fans six in no-decision

Lauer did not factor into the decision during Friday's win at Dodger Stadium, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings.

As a 6.9 earthquake rattled the stadium, Lauer calmly delivered two strikes to Enrique Hernandez then got him to fly out. Overall, it was a strong outing for the 24-year-old, who improves to 4-0 against the Dodgers in five career starts. Lauer now sports a 4.04 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 72:25 K:BB over 17 appearances this season.

  • Zach Davies SP | WAS

Brewers' Zach Davies: Throws five shutout frames

Davies tossed five scoreless innings Friday, allowing four hits and one walk with four strikeouts in a no-decision against the Pirates.

The 26-year-old's domination of the Pirates continued Friday, as in four starts versus Pittsburgh this season, Davies has posted a 2.31 ERA. However, he still hasn't earned a win since June 8 because the Brewers bullpen blew a five-run lead in the ninth Friday. Davies is 7-2 with a 3.07 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 63 strikeouts in 96.2 innings this season.

  • Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Strikes out nine in no-decision

Kershaw took a no-decision in Friday's loss to the Padres, recording nine strikeouts and allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits and a walk over seven innings.

The 31-year-old looks to be back in All-Star form, posting a season-high nine strikeouts -- his most since last August against the Padres. Despite the solid outing, it was the first time the Dodgers lost a home game with Kershaw on the mound since August 13 of last season, snapping an 11-start streak. He will take a 3.09 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 91:16 K:BB into the All-Star break.
