Merrill Kelly SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Merrill Kelly: Gives up one run in win
Kelly (2-1) surrendered one run on six hits and struck out four over six innings, earning the win Saturday versus the Padres.
Kelly outperformed Padres ace Chris Paddack in the contest. The only blemish on Kelly's line was a Fernando Tatis solo shot in the first inning. The right-handed Kelly has a 2.29 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 15 strikeouts in 19.2 innings this season. He lines up for his next start Friday at home in a rematch against the Padres.

David Peterson SP | CHC
Mets' David Peterson: Notches second win
Peterson (2-1) allowed two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out three over five innings in a win over the Marlins on Saturday.
This was not the most dominant performance, but Peterson did enough to earn his second MLB win and hand the Marlins just their second loss of the season. The 24-year-old lefty entered Saturday's game with a 17.0 K-BB% through his first two starts, so he's been a bright spot at the back end of the Mets' rotation. Peterson lines up for another home start next week against the Nationals.

Kyle Wright SP | CHC
Braves' Kyle Wright: Hurt by long ball Saturday
Wright (0-2) took the loss Saturday, allowing four runs on six hits and three walks over six innings as Atlanta was downed 5-0 by the Phillies. He struck out three.
The young right-hander traded goose eggs with veteran Jake Arrieta until the fourth inning, when Wright served up homers to J.T. Realmuto and Jay Bruce. Wright did throw 91 pitches (59 strikes), but his inability to consistently command his plus raw stuff continues to hold him back in the bigs. He'll look to rein in his 6.75 ERA during his next start, scheduled for Friday in Miami.

Trevor Williams RP | TEX
Pirates' Trevor Williams: Game versus Cards postponed
Williams won't start Monday as the Cardinals' COVID-19 outbreak will cause another postponement, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
St. Louis hasn't played a game in over a week, which will extend to Monday's series opener. The final two games of the series Tuesday and Wednesday remain on the schedule for now, but that could change in the coming days.

Jack Flaherty SP | DET
Cardinals' Jack Flaherty: Monday's game postponed
Flaherty won't start Monday against the Pirates as the game was postponed due to the Cardinals' COVID-19 outbreak, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
It was reported earlier in the day the Cardinals wouldn't be allowed to practice together for at least three days, so it's not much of a surprise Monday's series opener won't be played. The remaining two games of the series aren't overly likely to go on as scheduled, and that decision could be made Sunday. The Cardinals may not see the field again until Thursday against the Tigers, which would be over two weeks since their previous game.

Corbin Burnes SP | ARI
Brewers' Corbin Burnes: Shines in long relief
Burnes allowed one run on one hit and three walks while striking out eight over 5.1 innings out of the bullpen against the Reds on Saturday.
The right-hander was excellent in relief of Brett Anderson, inducing 14 swinging strikes on 77 pitches. It marked his second straight appearance working in tandem with Anderson, who has been limited so far as he works his way back from a finger injury. Burnes may have done enough here to earn a starting assignment next week, though he's showing enough of a strikeout punch to warrant an active spot in many leagues regardless of role.

Anthony DeSclafani RP | ARI
Reds' Anthony DeSclafani: Six scoreless against Brewers
DeSclafani (1-0) allowed two hits and one walk over six scoreless innings in a win over the Brewers on Saturday. He struck out six.
After throwing 64 pitches last weekend in his return from a right teres major strain, DeSclafani built up to 88 pitches Saturday. The results were stellar once again -- DeSclafani has not allowed a run through 11 innings -- and in fact this ranks as a top-25 SP performance by Game Score this season. He lines up for a favorable home matchup against Pittsburgh next week.

Huascar Ynoa SP | LAA
Braves' Huascar Ynoa: Set for first big-league start
Ynoa will start Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Phillies, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
The 22-year-old made two appearances out of the bullpen last season, but Sunday will be the first start of his major-league career. Ynoa had a 5.33 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 59:34 K:BB over 72.2 innings (17 appearances) with Triple-A Gwinnett in 2019.

Joe Musgrove SP | SD
Pirates' Joe Musgrove: Scratched with sore ankle
Musgrove was scratched from his scheduled start Sunday against the Tigers with a sore ankle, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.
The severity of the issue is not yet clear, but it will cost Musgrove at least one start. Steven Brault will take the hill in his place. Musgrove struggled in his previous start Tuesday against the Brewers, allowing five runs in 3.1 innings while walking five batters, though it's unknown whether or not he was battling the issue at that time.

Mike Soroka SP | ARI
Braves' Mike Soroka: Undergoes successful surgery
Soroka underwent successful surgery on his torn right Achilles' tendon Friday.
Soroka had to be helped off the field after suffering the injury in his third start of the season against the Mets on Monday. He'll be out for the remainder of the season, and his readiness for Opening Day next year is in doubt as well.
